Job description

Are you passionate about shaping young minds and fostering a love for English literature and language? The Rise School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Lead to join our dynamic team.

As the English Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing, planning, and delivering a high-quality and engaging curriculum for students in Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4. You will ignite a passion for English that inspires every student to reach their full potential, including excelling in their GCSEs.

About Us

The Rise School is a thriving special school based in Feltham, west London educating autistic pupils aged four to 18. It was set up by the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust in 2014. This vibrant learning community equips young people with the academic qualifications and personal skill set needed to thrive in the world, socially, emotionally and, in time, in the workplace. The Rise School offers pupils the best of both worlds: special needs provision combined with a curriculum guided by, and reaching beyond, the national curriculum. Located on the same campus as the Tudor Park Education Trust, a secondary mainstream school, The Rise School enables pupils to access learning and social opportunities alongside their mainstream peers, whilst receiving the specialist support they need

Here's what we offer:

  • A chance to make a real difference: The Rise School was established in 2014 under the government's free school programme by the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust. Our core purpose? To prepare pupils not just for academic success, but for life beyond school.
  • A commitment to holistic education: At The Rise School, we believe in equal priority for both academic and social outcomes. Our students not only gain essential qualifications but also develop the skills needed to thrive in further education, employment, and society.
  • A supportive environment: Join a team of dedicated educators who are passionate about creating a positive learning environment where every student can flourish.
  • Room for growth: As part of The Rise School community, you'll have access to professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and further your career.

If you're ready to inspire and empower the next generation of English scholars, we want to hear from you! Apply now to join our vibrant team at The Rise School and help shape the future of education.
