As Fundraising Manager, you will lead on trust and foundation fundraising, securing major grants to meet the annual target. Key Responsibilities: 

Fundraising:

• Conduct research on potential funding opportunities and grant applications 

• Assist with the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns

The Stories Officer sits in the Marketing and Communications team and will focus on:

· Assist in managing storytelling requests from across RNID, providing vital support and crafting impactful and compelling narratives.

· Manage and update our centralised database of case studies, celebrities, and influencers, ensuring all stories across the charity are recorded for effective stewardship. Maintain storyteller profiles, contact details, permissions, and consent forms while ensuring GDPR compliance in data collection and storage.

· Collaborate with PR, fundraising, digital, and campaigning teams to integrate storytelling into their work, identify their needs, and match case studies or celebrities to relevant projects.

· Support the development and delivery of storytelling content across multiple platforms, including social media, website, press, and marketing materials, ensuring content meets accessibility standards.

· Manage multiple internal and external storyteller requests.

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic, and experienced Digital Marketing Executive with a passion for social media and marketing to join the Spread a Smile team.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will help to deliver our marketing strategies and day-to-day output across our digital platforms including social media, website and e-comms and our Smile TV online viewing channel for families.

You will play a key role driving social media growth with responsibility for developing and posting creative content and managing interactions across our social media platforms, ensuring that we remain consistent in terms of brand and tone. You will have an excellent understanding of and passion for social media (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and LinkedIn), uses, trends and development.

You will provide marketing support across the Fundraising and Services team, including producing marketing/fundraising materials and literature, appeals and events collateral (services and fundraising related), case stories, PR activity, and supporting management of our photo / film libraries and brand.

Key responsibilities and duties:

• Supporting the Head of Marketing on wider website development and marketing strategies and support tools such as researching and using AI i.e. ChatGPT.Responsible for creating monthly supporter e-newsletter in Mailchimp, regular family e-newsletters (4 per annum) and other e-comms, (with Head of Marketing leading on content strategy), helping to ensure schedules for delivery are agreed and adhered to.

• Working with the Head of Marketing to maintain brand quality control, ensuring brand guidelines and support materials are up-to-date and accessible to the whole team.

• Researching and exploring marketing and promotional initiatives and avenues such as Google Ads, PPC, Instagram / Facebook promotions / sponsorship / ads etc.

• Managing Google Analytics and communications tracking, producing monthly reporting on marketing activity using agreed reporting template, including website activity, e-comms performance, social media performance and growth and audience analysis.

• Liaising with external designers as required on charity collateral and managing relationships with printers, obtaining relevant quotes and ensuring costing clarity.

• Supporting the Head of Marketing and wider fundraising team on fundraising appeals and events, helping to deliver relevant collateral, promotional strategies and communications and supporting fundraising relationship requirements as needed (i.e. website news stories etc).

• Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Services team to support marketing requirements for the Services and family events, including delivery and production of materials, visiting hospital partners to take good quality photos and film content etc.

Skills and experience

You will have a proven track record of soliciting, managing, and securing income from diverse income streams. You will have experience of developing successful grant applications and proposals for support to trusts and foundations. You will have digital fundraising fluency such as using social media to build support and run crowdfunding campaigns.

You will be an outstanding written communicator with the ability to absorb and synthesize complex information and translate it into compelling written cases for support. You should have excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to relate to, influence, and persuade internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You should be proactive, positive, and able to work on your own initiative, learn and test creative approaches, and remain resilient in the face of setbacks. What you will do:

This is a vital role in our Fundraising team, where you will be working with individuals, organisations, schools and small businesses in the local areas across Scotland to raise income and awareness for Canine Partners. You will recruit, manage and inspire fundraising volunteers to support us to raise much-needed funds. You will be passionate about stewarding existing relationships and cultivating news ones, ensuring an outstanding donor experience. Taking a proactive approach will be key to showcasing our work and charitable goals. 

It is an exciting time to join us, as the charity marks its 35th anniversary this year year and we will be doing lots to celebrate! Including lots of ambitious projects such as setting up the community fundraising hub in Scotland, which you will play a pivotal part in. 

What we are looking for: 

• Demonstrable experience in community fundraising and events management. 
• A successful track record of securing and maintaining income and support from community-based organisations. 
• Proven experience of effectively manging relationships volunteers, supporters, and or external stakeholders/audiences.

The Trusts and Foundations Team is part of the Fundraising and Marketing Communications Department and is responsible for delivering over £3m a year for the organisation’s services.

As Senior Trust Fundraising Manager you will be responsible for managing our existing donor relationships, researching new funding opportunities and preparing applications with a focus on 5 and 6 figure funding. This is a well-established income stream for Whizz Kidz with content for proposals readily available and accessible and you will have the opportunity to work with long standing supporters, helping them feel inspired by the impact of their gift. You will use your skills of relationship management to make a real difference to the lives of young wheelchair users. Finally, you will join an ambitious and collaborative fundraising team, keen to share success and support one another.

The ideal candidate will have experience of growing a Trust income stream and of preparing donor reports and providing excellent stewardship to funders and will be an excellent spoken and written communicator with a particular emphasis on funding application writing and reporting. They will have strong prospect research skills with the ability to secure higher value funding partnerships and an understanding of the issues young wheelchair users face.

They are looking for an experienced public fundraising leader to join a newly formed Marketing and Engagement department to further develop and grow their supporter base, with responsibility for individual giving, community and sporting events. 

As Deputy Director of Public Fundraising, you’ll lead a talented and high-performing team (3 direct reports), with ambitions to grow income from c.£4m to £6m over the next 5 years. As part of the new Marketing and Engagement function, you’ll work closely with the marketing teams to ensure exceptional supporter experience from the point of acquisition through to retention, cohesively developing and maximising the impact of strategies that enable the charity to grow its supporter base and deliver ongoing stewardship.   

We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic leader, someone who can inspire and lead the team to achieve these growth ambitions, championing public fundraising internally and creating new opportunities to acquire and retain supporters. You’ll work across a broad portfolio of activities and products, which includes individual and regular giving programmes, campaigns, lottery/prize products, legacies, community challenges and sporting events. Alongside this, you’ll have an interest and creative nature in ensuring that innovation and product/proposal development are integrated into business plans across the portfolio, collaborating with peers and internal teams to test and realise new opportunities for public fundraising. 

About the role:

• Take overall accountability for public fundraising (individual giving, community and sporting events), strategically driving growth in income from c.£4m to £6m over the next 5 years. 
• Lead and develop and high performing team, supporting professional development plans and striving to recruit and retain the best talent. 
• Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Engagement Director to strategise for public fundraising, ensuring integrated approaches with the marketing teams that further enable audience development. 
• Work cross-departmentally to improve stewardship frameworks and supporter journeys, maximising supporter loyalty and minimising attrition.

• An experienced public fundraising leader, with knowledge and expertise of individual giving and mass participation events.
• A strategic and creative leader, keen to innovate and maximise new opportunities for donor acquisition and retention across multiple channels/products.
