Role overview
PBA is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Financial Adviser to oversee its financial matters. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and guidance on financial operations, ensuring robust financial systems and controls are in place. Key responsibilities include:

• Advising the Board of Directors on the financial implications of strategic decisions, ensuring that all actions align with the PBA’s financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
As part of the PBA Finance Team and leading the team, the Financial Advisor plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of PBA, offering strategic advice, ensuring compliance, and overseeing day-to-day financial operations. The Financial Advisor works closely with PBA’s Accounts administrator.
Key responsibilities are:

• Work with the core team on the annual Business Planning process and help devise and produce the annual Budget.
• Assist in the compilation and analysis of the Approval and circulation of monthly /quarterly financial and management accounts, including a brief narrative report.
• Offer high level advice and guidance in support of and to help achieve the targets set out in the Business Plan.
• Act as one Authorised Signatory on all bank accounts and manage relationships with external financial institutions and banking partners.
• Oversee and liaise with auditors for the annual audit and other matters as required from time to time.
• Ensure VAT compliance and reporting.
• Be familiar with the cover afforded by all insurance policies and provide information on matters that may affect cover. Ensure appropriate insurance policies are in place and up to date.
• Ensure timely payment of all taxes.
• Ensure all accounting policies are compliant with current accounting practices.
• Keep updated on all legislation that applies to the company and advise the core team and Board of Directors as appropriate.
• Maintain and update the company’s Statutory Register.
• Annual filing of Annual Return and audited accounts and updating Companies House for directors’ appointments and resignations via auditors and company secretarial advisors.
• Manage the annual Declaration of Interest process.
• Provide strategic guidance on corporate governance best practices, while developing and implementing effective risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.

• Professionally qualified with working knowledge of UK accounting and company law.

MAIN DUTIES

1.Being first point of contact for new business client enquiries, responding to messages from new clients and scheduling sales consultations with prospective clients. This includes acting on new referrals for paid service consultations within 24 hours, gaining the client's trust, identifying and advising on the best service to meet the client’s needs from initial assessment of their situation, and promoting confidence in Beacon and our ability to meet the client’s needs.

2.Liaising with relevant health trusts, care providers and other organisations to support the facilitation of assessments, as part of a new business request.

3.       Providing operational support to Business Development Manager, including taking telephone enquiries from clients and arranging sales consultations. Supporting the Business Development Manager with sales consultations during holidays and at peak periods.

4.Drafting and sending detailed estimates to prospective clients following initial consultations and following up to close the sale.

5.Establishing a rapport with prospective clients, utilising Beacon’s reputation within the industry to generate business and maintaining excellent communication throughout the sales journey.

6.Managing the case allocation process including responsibility for ensuring cases are allocated in a timely way according to case deadlines.

7.Generating and sending out contracts and associated paperwork, and processing completed contracts for clients engaging in a paid service. Liaising with caseworkers for a smooth handover of the new case, ensuring that expectations are met and key deadlines understood by the caseworker.

8.Maintaining good communication with colleagues in the Information and Advice team to facilitate the smooth transfer of prospective clients from an advice call to a paid service consultation.

9.To keep relevant and sufficiently detailed case records following each client contact, ensuring that all client information is kept up to date in line with Beacon’s systems and procedures, including data protection policies. 

10.Keeping sales data software up to date and producing monthly sales reports for Managing Director.

11.Responsible for the effective operation of client administrative procedures including operating and maintaining database and filing systems.

12.Arranging for the safe and secure transportation of sensitive client files and medical records for caseworkers and clients.

13.Attending line management, supervision and team meetings as appropriate.

14.Provide organisational, administrative and secretarial support to the sales and casework teams as required.

NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) is the name given to a package of care that some people need to receive due to disability, accident or illness. People who are eligible for CHC have the full cost of their care and residential accommodation funded by the NHS. This relieves families of sometimes astronomical care bills.

The Retail Partnerships Lead role plays an important part in the success of Scope’s retail offering. This role is part of the Connexional Team Learning Network, supporting, encouraging, and equipping the Church to live out ‘Our Calling’ through worship, mission, evangelism and discipleship. The Learning Network primarily works with lay and ordained leaders, helping them equip others.

This post contributes to Connexional-wide learning and development initiatives, and is specifically aligned with the Wales Synod Cymru District as the Welsh speaking Learning and Development Officer (LDO) and the new West Midlands District following the merger of the current Birmingham District and the Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury District on 1st September 2025. Wales Synod Cymru is a bilingual District of 16 circuits, including the Welsh language Cymru Circuit which covers the whole of Wales, and the West Midlands District has 20 circuits across Birmingham, Wolverhampton and the Black Country, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire. At the RCN Foundation, we are committed to supporting, strengthening and championing the nursing profession. As a charity and grant-maker, we do this by funding research and projects, as well as education and hardship, which support nurses, midwives and Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) to innovate and progress in their careers.

As the Foundation’s Grants Officer you will work across the Foundation’s grant-making activities and be responsible for checking eligibility and allocating education grant applications to external reviewers and support the Benevolent team with hardship grant applications. Both grant programmes are bespoke to the nursing and midwifery profession, and this role is essential in running a smooth first-class service relating to our grant making activity to individuals in need.

In this varied role every day will be filled with possibilities. You will work across the Grants and Impact team and use the online application portal to manage all grant applications. You will manage enquires relating to the Foundation’s grant-making and work with the RCN Foundation Grants Manager to provide support to applicants.

As well as exceptional customer service, to join us you’ll need an in-depth knowledge of best practice in respect to grant-making across more than one country of the UK. You will need to have significant experience of working in a grant-making capacity, and with charities and/or third sector organisations. Whatever your background, you'll be efficient, accurate and show a real customer focus in all you do.

Role overview

You’ll help to prepare for, write and support on developing bids and proposals, helping Change Grow Live secure contracts and run high-quality health and social care services. These services support adults, children and young people, including around drugs and alcohol, homelessness and criminal justice.

About the role

We seek an experienced Business Development Manager to drive our UK growth and expand our client and partner base. Reporting directly to the CEO, (initially) you will lead our sales strategy targeting UK businesses, with a particular focus on small and medium businesses, and public sector organisations. 

With a proven track record in generating revenue through outbound marketing, online channels and relationship-building, as well as developing new revenue-generating business models, you will be hands-on in driving our B2B sales, securing over £150,000 annually through direct sales, grants, tenders, contracts and partnerships. You will also contribute to developing engaging communications to support The Human Edge's financial growth and brand development.

Change Grow Live are a health and social care charity. We support people in a huge range of difficult situations, including those who use drugs and alcohol, and those whose home life is affected by drugs, mental health and/or domestic violence. We're the largest charity of this type in the country, supporting tens of thousands of people in their own journeys. Our technology

We've got complex needs: recording, monitoring and reviewing information about our clients, with their informed consent. Our in-house web application acts as an electronic patient record, a case management system, a quality management system, and more - it's grown over the last 15 years!

We started out with a Perl application, and have improved it aggressively over the years. All our software is deployed using Docker containers using ECS; much of it using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Pulumi. Our data is stored in a serverless/autoscaling MySQL database.

Newer work is often written in TypeScript, using NestJS and SvelteKit. We’ll use a variety of testing tools in both languages: end-to-end, integration and unit testing are all covered.

We practice a genuinely blame-free culture with incidents/mistakes and always focus our conversations on improving processes, not individual recrimination.

We're looking for compassionate, bold, open-minded software developers to help us build this software. Your efforts will empower frontline professionals carry out their life-saving work.

About you!

An ideal candidate will have some familiarity with SQL: our team write queries often!

We’d love to see candidates with some strong knowledge of HTML and CSS beyond the basics. We don't need you to know any frameworks in particular - but we'd love to see great fundamentals for building on the web, so you should have some experience building applications using JavaScript in the browser.

Debugging and testing experience is a must, in any language - we think that's a highly transferrable skill.

Previous experience with Perl is not a strict requirement. We're happy to show you the ropes - you'll be up to speed in no time!

You should really care about security. You’ll be happy to openly discuss approaches which make the software as safe as possible for people who use our services.

You’ll relish – or at least, enjoy the challenge of - diving into legacy code and documenting, improving and testing the code our users rely on. When you choose to rebuild things, it’s because you genuinely understand the previous solution and its shortcomings.

You'll be a curious, generalist thinker, never limiting yourself to one narrow specialty. As a team, we'll jump from CSS to AWS infrastructure in a day’s work. Of course, we don’t know everything: it's a perfect environment for learning; “I don’t know, let me check” is always a good answer.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Floating Support worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and their children in the community.

The post-holder will support the Ascent Pan London Service in building sustainable referral pathways and joint working protocols with a range of partners working with survivors of domestic abuse. You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of Eastern European domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities. 

The successful appliant  will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. Additionally, you will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player.
