St George the Martyr, is an architecturally significant Grade II* listed church in Bloomsbury and an important part of London's Georgian and Victorian Heritage. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Capital Project Manager to lead the Development Stage of a major conservation and improvement project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of one of London’s most important historic churches and play a key role in its restoration and renewal.

About the Role
As a Client Project Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of our vision for the future of St George the Martyr, including saving the church, classed as Heritage at Risk, and creating a welcoming, active and inclusive church that engages people traditionally under-served by heritage. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all areas of the PCC’s activity in the Development Stage of the capital project, supporting a team of specialist consultants and the Design Team. Working closely with the Rector and Project Board, you will lead the internal and external project team, ensuring the Client’s interests are represented throughout.

About You

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing all aspects of the capital project on behalf of the client.
• Coordinating and procuring the multi-disciplinary project team and consultants.
• Managing the project budget, reporting to funders, and ensuring compliance with funding agreements.
• Acting as the key liaison with stakeholders, funders, and the Project Board.
• Overseeing design development, procurement, risk, and programme delivery.

You will need:

• Strong project management skills, ideally with a recognised qualification (e.g., APM, RICS, PRINCE2).
• Experience delivering multi-million-pound, heritage-focused capital projects.
• Understanding of heritage and faith sectors, particularly Church of England contexts.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
• A strong commitment to inclusion and community involvement.

The finance function has recently been transitioned from being fully outsourced to an in-house operation. With new people, processes and systems bedding in, they are looking for interim support to assist with year end delivery and process review.

Key deliverables:

Support the Director of Finance with the production of their year end accounts including fixed asset register, investment schedules and grant disclosures.

Completion of all outstanding reconciliation work.

Assist with the documenting and refining of finance processes to ensure a structure monthly close and reporting cycle.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant with a track record of preparing accounts to Charity SORP (audit or internal accounting). Can you write compelling copy, own your work and get results? We're hiring a freelance Communications Officer for 8 hours a week, starting asap. We’re looking for a proactive professional to support our mission to transform loneliness into connection among isolated people and under-served groups in Tower Hamlets. We are a strongly values-led organisation, and the health and wellbeing of our team is as important to us as the wellbeing of those we serve.

In this hybrid role, you’ll have the chance to own and drive forward Globe Community Project’s communications strategy, taking a proactive approach to campaigns and initiatives, social media and supporter engagement, and meeting targets to inform, grow and reward our supporter base.

You’ll be joining the charity at a time of growth, and there’s scope for you to make a huge impact on our ability to reach and connect even more isolated people. As a loneliness charity, our communications are key.

You’ll either be in part-time work and looking for more hours, or a freelancer with space to take this on. You could work your hours across one or more days; we don’t mind as long as you can drive results, be flexible and responsive where needed. 

You must live locally or within easy reach of East London, and have the right to live and work in the UK.

Campaigns and initiatives
Producing compelling and impactful communications.

• Writing copy.
• Creating and developing content and graphics.
• Publishing on, and assisting with the development of, the GCP website.

Social media
Full responsibility for the social media channels.

• Creating and scheduling posts and content
• Engaging with others and with relevant trends.
• Setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).

Supporter engagement
Keeping supporters and donors informed and involved.

• Crafting and designing compelling emails, with at least 1 email newsletter per month.
• Promoting opportunities for participation – including surveys, volunteering and
• fundraising campaigns.
• Refining segments and user journeys.

Strategy

• Making key contributions to the development and delivery of our strategic communications plan, including setting targets and timeframes within your first month.

Community events

• Gathering stories and content from participants at our activities in East London.
• Supporting occasional fundraising events.

Blesma – The Limbless Veterans is the national charity and membership association for limbless serving and ex-service men and women and their dependants.

We help all wounded Servicemen and women who have lost limbs, the use of limbs or eyes, to rebuild their lives by providing well-being support and rehabilitation activities.

Blesma campaigns for our veteran’s rights and looks after individuals and their families by offering a comprehensive welfare system and financial assistance programme.  Rehabilitation, support, counselling and care are the four principal foundations of our organisation.  Together, we can help our men, women and their families face the challenges ahead with renewed confidence and self-belief.

The Activities and Events Administrator plays a vital role at Blesma, contributing to a small, dynamic team that delivers an engaging program of sporting and social activities to support Members' rehabilitation and well-being. This role will work alongside the Head of Activities on the Fulfilling Pathways programme, funded by the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme, to provide therapeutic activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a personable, organised and committed individual to join an inspiring organisation and make a real difference in the lives of our beneficiaries.

Key duties:

1. Programme Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for the Fulfilling Pathways programme, assist members, and introduce new members to the activities programme.

2. Event Management: Handle event administration, including sign-ups, logistics, venue booking, and maintaining the calendar of events.

3. Communication and Engagement: Encourage member participation through social media, newsletters, and other communications, and compile information for activity leaders.

4. Administrative Support: Manage records, receipts, invoices, stock sheets, and compile quarterly/yearly statistics, while supporting monitoring, evaluation, and feedback processes.
