The role:
- Providing sound financial advice and management to the Directorates. Including reviewing business cases, papers to Governance Committees and policy proposals, to ensure that the financial implications have been properly considered, are affordable and recommendations reflect good Value for Money.
- Presenting financial information to Senior Management Teams on a regular basis. Communicating complex financial issues to internal and external stakeholders, enabling individuals with little financial knowledge to understand key messages.
- Understanding the business - Developing a full understanding of the policies and cost drivers of the Directorates' spend ensuring they are managed and monitored effectively to meet business plans and objectives.
- Leading on month-end and year-end activities, working autonomously to ensure that the management information for your area of responsibility is accurate and correct.
- Challenging and supporting Directors and Budget Managers in managing spend on a portfolio basis. Recognising potential risk and opportunities and identifying solutions to manage them.
- Leading on financial planning and forecasting exercises, supporting and providing constructive challenge to business areas when identifying their funding requirements in-year and going forward. This will include working on significant fiscal events such as Spending Reviews.
- Building relationships with stakeholders across the business and in other support functions e.g. HR, commercial, to understand their needs and priorities.
- You will work with your Directorates and the wider finance team to promote and realise the benefits of our new ERP system.
- Managing two Management Accountants, with responsibility for leading, motivating and developing them.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a fully qualified Accountant.
- You'll be highly motivated and an effective organiser, which will allow you to work fluidly in a fast paced environment, remaining flexible at all times.
- Significant experience in communicating complex financial issues to enable individuals with little financial knowledge to understand the key messages.
- Significant experience of leading on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called ‘honour’ based crimes such as forced marriage.

We are excited to be advertising the role of Psychotherapy Service Manager at Respond, to lead our team and the development of our psychotherapy services with autistic people and people with learning disabilities who have experienced trauma and their families. Many of our clients may have experienced complex or multiple traumatic experiences including sexual violence, domestic abuse and neglect.
The Psychotherapy Service provides predominantly longer-term therapeutic support of a year or more, depending on how the work is funded, to an average of 130 unique individuals per year. The current team of 10 are made up of 4 senior therapists (reporting to the postholder), 4 therapists and 2 honoraries in training, the majority of whom are Arts therapists and work within a psychodynamic and/or systemic model.
We welcome applications from experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapists, Arts therapists, Psychologists or Family Therapists who are passionate about our work. You will work psychodynamically, champion our trauma informed approach including our reflective practice model and have the opportunity to influence and shape the development of the psychotherapy service. Leading the small team, you will provide clinical leadership and be Safeguarding lead, ensuring we continue to provide high quality psychotherapy services. We are offering the role at 4-5 days per week, working in a hybrid manner flexibly. You can also hold your own small case load of clients, supervisees and/or consultancy work within the role.
This is a unique and specialist role and we recognise that you may have more experience in one clinical area or client group than another, given the breadth of our work and whilst you may be experienced in working psychodynamically as a therapist and as a line manager, you may be newer to leading a service for example. Or you may have a great deal of other experience and understanding of the needs of our clients from other work. We are flexible to develop the right candidate who is passionate about improving the lives of autistic people, people with learning disabilities and their family members.

An important part of our work at Respond is working in a trauma-informed way. What this means for us is that we hold in mind the impact of trauma at all levels of the organisation, and all staff take part in reflective practice or team dynamics.
We provide a range of trauma-informed services for children, young people, adults and professionals. These include psychotherapy, advocacy, training and other support services. The work we do is generally long term in recognition of research that clients with autism and learning disabilities who have experienced abuse and trauma take longer to process their trauma and to recover.

This is an exciting newly-created role that will act as owner and operational lead for an ambitious multi-year plan for DEI for the organisation – putting systems and structures in place to enable NCB to embed DEI throughout our operational and strategic activities.
Although the role will take strategic leadership of our DEI work overall, it will be particularly focussed on our external impact. Ensuring that we are seizing all opportunities across our work to advance equity for children and families in the UK – and creating more such opportunities through networking, innovative thinking and support for staff.

The position of Fundraising Support Officer is a vital role within our Supporter Care team. The Supporter Care team is often the first point-of-call for Trinity’s supporters and fundraising queries – with communication across phone, e-mail and post channels.
The Fundraising Support Officer provides an important part of the donor experience ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately, and donations are thanked in a timely manner.
The role supports the wider Fundraising team and fundraising activities across eleven income streams.
As Fundraising Supporter Officer, you will:
- Process cash, credit/debit card and CAF donations received via post, telephone and online platforms (e.g. JustGiving, Stripe, Enthuse).
- Thank donors appropriately, liaising with Fundraising Managers as needed.
- Perform bank statement reconciliation, which includes processing standing orders, direct debits, online giving and legacies.
- Answer incoming calls to the Fundraising Team and respond to general email enquiries, maintaining Trinity’s clear tone of voice and style.
- Work as part of the wider Fundraising team providing support and participating in other duties where required.
- Support and attend fundraising events, occasionally outside of normal working hours.
- Work in a hybrid model of some days in the office and others from home.
Experience, knowledge and skills desired:
