We are looking for a full-time administrator to support the smooth running of the Education and Training Department. Duties include general office administration such as diary management, preparing and circulating papers ahead of meetings, taking minutes, database management, maintaining inventory levels and supporting the department with various education and outreach activities.  This post also provides administrative support to the Director of Education and Training.  There will be a requirement to occasionally work in the evenings and at weekends.

What we need:

We need an experienced administrator with effective communications skills, a high standard of IT literacy and excellent attention to detail.  You should have proven experience of minute taking and financial reconciliation. Previous experience of working in a membership organisation is desirable.

As part of an international movement and in partnership with 2 million farmers and workers, The Fairtrade Foundation works towards a world where all producers can enjoy secure and sustainable livelihoods, fulfil their potential, and decide on their own futures. We primarily do this through:

· The setting of social, economic and environmental standards for the production of commodities, for example bananas, flowers, gold, etc.

· The setting of minimum prices and premium payments that should be paid to the producers of these commodities.

· Certifying products that meet these standards and allowing them to carry the Fairtrade Mark.

· Lobbying governments on trade policy.

· Working directly with producers to address specific challenges that they are facing.

· Building public awareness of the impacts of unfair trade.

Throughout, we ensure that farmers and workers have a strong voice throughout the movement, from how they invest in and run their local organisations to their having an equal say in Fairtrade’s global decision-making.

In support of this mission, we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Systems and Data Analyst. Crucial to our work is having timely access to accurate data and intelligible information, particularly in regard to the volumes of Fairtrade certified commodities that are being sold in different Fairtrade products. In this role you will own the Fairtrade Foundation’s SQL databases and a suite of data management and reporting tools. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, you will maintain, enhance and add to these systems, to deliver timely, accurate and relevant insights.

Supporting and supported by a Senior Data and Insights Lead and a Data Quality Manager, the ideal candidate will embrace collaboration, proactivity and continuous service improvement. They will be skilled in translating business needs into digital solutions and then communicating those solutions to their non-technical colleagues. They will be highly competent as a developer of SQL and Power BI based tools.

About the role

We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with great personality and team ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.

This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.

You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver a legendary experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

We are lucky enough to have some of our most committed supporters in the area, but there is still so much opportunity to grow support across the counties. You will have an incredible opportunity to build relationships with not only those who have been supported by the charity, but our incredible services team members who support children and young people treated out of University College Hospital and Great Ormond Street hospital.

We are seeking a Political Adviser to join our Politics Team at this crucial time for accelerating the shift away from oil and gas. Uplift is a campaigning and research organisation helping to move the UK towards a fossil fuel-free future and to support a just transition away from fossil fuel production. 

The role

As one of Uplift’s Political Advisers, you will play a central role in building political support for the UK’s transition away from oil and gas extraction. Your role will sit within Uplift’s Politics Team, and will involve working closely within networks across Westminster. You will be a skilled communicator able to support the implementation of Uplift's political strategy, and use your initiative and political instincts to further the political debate on phasing out fossil fuels. 

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include:

• Support the implementation of Uplift’s public affairs strategy. 
• Grow and maintain Uplift’s networks in and around Westminster, including by attending events, receptions and proactively setting up meetings with key stakeholders and decision makers. 
• Write compelling briefings, and other communications suitable for a political audience.

You’ll join our Operations Team, which consists of colleagues providing expertise and support in procurement, finance, HR, IT & Data Security, legal compliance and wider operational support to this ambitious and mission-driven remote organisation

• Support the drafting of procurement contracts using defined templates and processes, guiding Oak colleagues where needed in line with our Procurement Handbook, and ensuring documentation is clear, accurate and complete.

• Track and assist in maintaining the procurement pipeline, monitoring contract timelines and end dates across suppliers, contractors and freelancers, and prompting renewal or procurement activity as required.

• Provide basic advice and guidance to colleagues on procurement processes and policies to ensure compliance, including supporting due diligence checks for suppliers and contractors and assisting with compliance monitoring and the ‘close down’ of a contract. 

• Actively participate in the Procurement Level 4 Apprenticeship, including attending training sessions, completing assessments/exams, and applying/sharing learning in day-to-day responsibilities.
