This role will be pivotal in contributing to FEI’s communications strategy, focusing on high-quality content creation across social media, personal stories and other written, designed and video formats.
Scope of the role:
The Digital Content & Communications Officer is responsible for creating content across FEI’s communications channels, inspiring individuals organisations alike to get involved in the face equality movement.
This is an exciting new role within a fast-paced, growing organisation. The ideal candidate will be creative, passionate about communications, with attention to detail. The role will be varied, working across campaigns, partnerships, storytelling and our membership programmes. With a primary focus on social content, this role will also contribute to campaign development, newsletters and blogs.
There will be freedom for creativity and trying out new ideas, with a focus on personal development through training and ongoing support by working closely with the Campaigns Manager and the wider team.
With a remote team working across the UK we are committed to providing flexible hours, but there must be crossover on Monday-Thursday mornings to align with the other team members.

Responsibilities

Social media – Written, graphic and video content to be produced to support FEI’s mission. With the support from the Campaigns Manager, the Communications Officer will lead on developing engaging content to amplify the voices of the facial difference community. Accessible content standards are essential.

Graphic/video editing – Using tools such as Canva or CapCut to create and edit content.

Website updates – All FEI staff have access and responsibility to collectively update our WordPress site in line with their role.

Copywriting – Creating content for social media primarily with the addition of blogs and other written marketing materials on occasion.

Engagement – Community management and engagement via online channels, including influencer outreach.

Monitoring and evaluation – using analytics to track impact.

Ad hoc tasks: Supporting the team with ad hoc administrative and communications duties as requested. Member meetings and events on occasion may be required outside of normal working hours.
Past experience:

The Global Legal Action Network (GLAN) works with affected communities to pursue innovative legal actions across borders to challenge states and other powerful actors involved in human rights violations and systemic injustice. About the Role

Who is The Charlie Waller Trust?
The Charlie Waller Trust was created by the Waller family in 1997 in response to the loss of their son and brother Charlie who died by suicide. We have since become one of the UK’s most respected mental health charities for children and young people. Our overarching mission is to educate those with responsibility for children and young people - parents and carers, teachers, college and university staff, and employers - about children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
The Youth Ambassador Role: We are seeking UK-based Youth Ambassadors (16-25 year olds) to join our Youth Involvement Team. We wish to appoint people that can bring diverse experiences in education, work or community in order to help create and shape the work that we do. The Youth Ambassadors role is about prioritising youth representation, identity and community across our charitable activity and beyond. The Charlie Waller Team will provide appropriate training, guidance, and ongoing support to those selected.
What will the role involve?
- Working remotely for up to 2 days (14 hours) a month.
- Attending a Charlie Waller Team day in person in March 2025, in London. Travel expenses will be covered.
- Attending up to six online group meetings with other youth ambassadors and the youth involvement team.

How much time am I expected to commit?
We expect those joining the Youth Ambassador group to join on a freelance basis for one year from February 2025 to January 2026.
Hours are subject to change each month but on average we would plan for you to work for CWT for up to 14 hours (2 days) per month. The majority of the working hours offered can be arranged as flexibly as possible around your other commitments
Will I be paid?Ambassadors will be remunerated for their time at a delivery and desk rate of £15 per hour for work both online and in person.
Desk work includes training preparation, resource coproduction or review, attending meetings and involvement in focus groups. Delivery work includes training delivery, public speaking at an event about the work of the Trust or hosting or being interviewed on the ambassador podcast.
Any expenses incurred in the role will be covered in line with the Charlie Waller Trust’s expenses policy (public transport or mileage at 45p mile). Payment will be made via bank transfer following the completion of an invoice or hours claim form. Further detail will be provided if you are appointed to the group.

This pivotal new role will play a central part in shaping and delivering an innovative logistics strategy to support FareShare’s rapid growth and ensure the efficient and safe transportation of food across the FareShare Network.
As FareShare continues to scale, this role is key to optimising our transport operations—streamlining processes, leveraging data-driven insights, and implementing innovative solutions to deliver food in a timely and cost-effective manner while upholding our commitment to fairness and accessibility.
The successful candidate will lead our relationships with leading transport and logistics providers, working closely with the haulage industry to align national and local transport solutions. This role demands an analytical mindset, a proven track record of driving efficiency, and the ability to identify new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
We are seeking an experienced professional from the logistics and transport sector, ideally with expertise in food distribution. Main areas of responsibility
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimise logistics operations, identifying efficiencies, cost savings, and opportunities to enhance service provision.
- Create and utilise logistics load forecasting models to improve planning and operational readiness.
- Work across teams—including Supply Chain, Food, Network, and Operations—to design tailored transport solutions that align with specific circumstances and operational goals.
- P&L management/ownership, financial planning and cost optimisation

- Proposing and leading ‘best in class’ logistics transport initiatives for the organisation
- Ensure compliance with financial protocols while driving cost efficiencies in collaboration with partners and suppliers.

- Collaborate with consultants, external partners, and the Health & Safety team to safeguard people, reputation, and operational integrity.
- Act as the strategic relationship lead for haulier partnerships, fostering strong collaborations to improve service levels and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Identify and develop new partnerships with hauliers, engaging through direct meetings and building relationships to support FareShare’s growth.
- Collaborate with logistics companies to identify and utilise surplus capacity within their operations, aligning with FareShare’s mission to maximise resources.
- Manage current and emerging transport initiatives, including FareShare-managed lorries and other strategic programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and operational excellence.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- 5+ years experience working within supply chain and logistics
- Extensive leadership experience in a senior logistics role
- Strategic planning and execution experience, in a logistics setting
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial planning and cost optimisation
- Familiarity with relevant laws, including health and safety, environmental and transport regulations
- Multi-site transport management experience
- Proven ability to track and achieve performance metrics such as delivery times, costs and customer satisfaction
- Experience managing transport budgets of £5m+
- Experience managing 3PL contracts
- Experience managing in-house and contracted primary logistics
- Track record of implementing process improvements and innovative solutions
- Excellent organisational skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and personable individual to help support and build our relationships with individual supporters.We are looking for someone with good administrative and organisational skills to help increase the impact of direct mail (appeals), the development of welcome and regular giving programmes, fundraising projects, and in using personal communications (including phone) to connect with supporters. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the High Level Donor (HLD) touchpoint plan by ringing supporters on a weekly basis
- Track and record communications with prospects and donors in the supporter database
- Use the database to identify HLD prospects and to run regular reports about individual giving as guided by the Fundraising Manager
- Contribute to the delivery of direct marketing campaigns (supporter and external appeal mailings), including preparing appeal briefs, kick-off meetings, liaising with colleagues, external copywriter and external agency/mailing house
- Help develop and grow the joy bringer (regular giving) programme through the use of new data insights, reporting, anniversary gifts and online events
- Ensure individual supporter relationships (including HLDs) are appropriately managed, thanked and asked
- Support key supporter/donor care management processes and programmes
- Support the expansion of digital fundraising campaigns
- Support the development of other fundraising opportunities including legacies / in-memorium giving, emergency appeals and projects e.g. for supporter-sponsored events
