What the job involves
As a Celebrity and Influencer Engagement Officer, you’ll play a key role in building strategic relationships with high-profile personalities who genuinely connect with our cause. Joining our newly formed Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll help drive positive change for men affected by or at risk of prostate cancer.
You’ll work closely with our talented team across the charity and Communications directorate, fostering existing connections and exploring new partnerships. You’ll support our strategy for celebrity and influencer engagement, identifying impactful opportunities along the way.
In partnership with our Celebrity and Influencer Engagement Manager, you’ll manage celebrity logistics, administration, and itineraries, coordinating appearances at our events, media engagements, and third-party partner activities.

We’re looking for an excellent communicator who excels at building new relationships and inspiring others. You’ll be engaging with a range of stakeholders, including agents, influencers and celebrities alongside internal and external specialists at all levels. With demonstratable experience of acting sensitively, tactfully and with discretion with key stakeholders.
Ideally, you’ll bring solid experience working with high-profile or VIP celebrities and influencers, along with a background in supporting the delivery of engagement strategies. You’ll be skilled in using databases to manage relationships and have experience supporting both in-person and online events.
As a strong project manager, you’ll draw on your organisational skills to manage both proactive and reactive tasks with a solutions-focused approach.

Main Areas of Responsibility
You will play a key role in the delivery of the approved Internal Audit plan and related risk and assurance activities in accordance with recognised professional standards. This will include being responsible for completion of the end-to-end audit process for a portfolio of assigned reviews.
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Being accountable for the delivery of a portfolio of audits to time and budget whilst managing conflicting priorities.
- Planning, undertaking and reporting on audits across the Federation’s Head Office and 55 academies.
- Identifying, assessing and reporting on the risks arising from areas under review.
- To complete follow up exercises on previously agreed recommendations.

The Role

• Assist in the development and submission of funding applications to statutory and multilateral sources (such as the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and United Nations), working with colleagues to identify opportunities and develop projects and proposals.

• Work with SPANA colleagues to identify and maintain a list of suitable projects (that would particularly appeal to potential trust funders) and provide appropriate narrative and financial feedback reports on specific projects and restricted funds (for funders and internal purposes).
• Organise events, visits, meetings and other appropriate activities as required, to encourage and maintain support from trusts
• Assist in the development of events for trusts and major donors and represent SPANA at both SPANA events and external meetings, to cultivate relationships with the aim of securing income.
• Contribute to the development and production of SPANA fundraising, marketing and communications materials, to support trusts fundraising activities.

• Work to a set income and expenditure budget, setting targets in collaboration with line manager.

What will the job involve?

The Programme Management Team provides support to Save the Children country programmes in the quality management of programmes funded via Save the Children UK (SCUK). About the role
The Senior Programme Manager (SPM) primary focus is to oversee the quality management of programmes and related awards (grants & contracts) that are part of a portfolio covering several COs or donors. This role involves both direct management of programmes and related awards implemented in specific country programmes or supported by particular corporate & philanthropy donor(s); and providing direction, support and technical advice to Programme Managers (PMs) working in the same portfolio sub-set. The SPM works with wide autonomy and decision-making capacity, both within their directly management portfolio as well as the portfolio sub-set, with regards to portfolio's risks, issues, and workload management.
Being responsible for several COs or corporate & philanthropy donors, the SPM plays a key role, and works very closely with the Programme Management Lead in the effective development and implementation of regional and partnership strategies; in identifying and addressing systemic risks and issues; in improving and creating new internal processes; and in ensuring the capacity building and professional development of PMs
In this role, you will:
Support to quality & impactful programming in Country Offices
- Develop strong a knowledge of in-country context and current issues, as well as of Save the Children's key programmatic themes and priorities, for the countries or programmes under their directly managed portfolio. Provide input to the Programme Management Lead and influencing SCUK funding strategies for the countries or programmes under their portfolio.

People management
- Provide effective and timely day-to-day support and manage workload for PMs working in the portfolio sub-set under the SPM's responsibility (‘work management'), as part of matrix management with the Programme Management Lead. Contribute to setting annual objectives and priorities and provide input in annual reviews.
About you
It is important that you have:
- Extensive experience in project and grant/contract management, with knowledge of institutional donor compliance requirements
- Extensive experience working with institutional donors such as FCDO, UN and multilateral agencies (e.g. UNICEF, OCHA, World Bank), particularly on proposal development and report writing.
- Experience in Payment by Result and/or Outcome based contracts an asset.

Importantly, the fund is co-design with young activists, through a Youth Steering Group. All elements of the programme are youth-led and grantee centred, with a commitment to codesign and seeking input from young people at all stages.
Evaluation and learning is central to the fund; we aim to generate learning that will support young people, grantees, funders and delivery partners to learn and increase their impact, but also to generate evidence that can influence the wider sector. Ultimately, we are seeking to change the way youth-led funding is delivered.
The Evaluation and Learning Coordinator will work closely with the grantees to help them effectively understand and learn from the results of their work; and to generate and disseminate wider evidence and learning on the impact of the fund. The role will work closely with the Fund’s external Evaluation and Learning Partner - The Social Innovation Partnership (TSIP) - who have just finalised a monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) framework for the fund. Restless Development is the delivery partner leading on the learning element of the fund.
We are looking for someone who has a commitment to learning and youth leadership, and is excited by the idea of generating evidence that could help to shift power to young people in the funding sector. You will also be excited by the prospect of working closely with our incredible Young Gamechangers, to help them better understand their impact.
The role will be part of Restless Development’s growing team in the UK that supports our network of young leaders. It will also be part of the YGF team, working closely with colleagues based within Global Fund for Children.

Key responsibilities:
Support to Grantees
- Provide training and support to grantees to help them respond to quantitative and qualitative reporting requirements as set out by the MEL framework, e.g. through training on how to implement qualitative data collection tools (such as reflective diaries or more creative approaches such as video style reporting)
- Provide broader evaluation and learning support to grantees, based around the needs of their work - as part of the wider support offer alongside funding. Including the design and delivery of training, and in-person support visits.
- Support to grantees to complete other funder reporting requirements, including uploading quantitative data to match funder’s online portal.
- Focused support to a sample of grantees to help them develop Community Impact reports for their work, based on peer research (methodology to be defined from the Learning Partner)
Implementation of the Fund’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework
- Acting as the main point of contact for the Fund’s learning partner, and coordinating with other stakeholders (including delivery partners, funders and the Steering Group), to include coordinating feedback and review processes, e.g. for the mid-term and final evaluation reports.
- Work in partnership with the Learning Partner on the development and dissemination of any external learning products or activities, such as events, blogs or ‘Failure and Innovation One Pagers’
- Working to ensure strong youth engagement is embedded throughout all stages of the evaluation process, from design through to delivery. This will include working closely with the Steering Group.
Learning and Reporting systems
- Ensure effective processes are in place so that learning generated is used to inform the fund’s design and delivery, e.g. through a quarterly learning and review process.
- Responding to funder reporting requirements, including through the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data collected through the MEL framework.
- Working with Restless Development’s Communications team to support the external dissemination of any learning from the fund, e.g. helping to finalise external products, and identifying relevant case studies to showcase the fund’s impact.
Other
- Contributing to agency wide learning, working with colleagues across the global agency to build expertise in funding and supporting youth social action
- You will occasionally be required to work on weekends and/or public holidays, for which time off in lieu will be granted

Skills and experience
Essential
- Experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning, including the implementation of MEL frameworks (or equivalent) and supporting evaluations
- Experience and / or commitment to mobilising and supporting young people from diverse communities in the UK to take social action (e.g. through campaigning, organising or volunteering)
- Strong analytical, and qualitative and quantitative research skills
- Strong coordination, organisation and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt information so that it is accessible for a diverse group of people
- Belief in the values of Restless Development and ability to uphold them personally
Desirable
- Experience of providing MEL focused training and support, ideally to grantees or partners.
- Experience of producing externally facing materials, such as case studies, learning papers or blogs
- Experience in working with young people from underserved communities within the UK (such as those who have experienced racism and discrimination)
- Experience of working with a range of stakeholders across multiple delivery and funder partners
