We’re looking for an inspiring and influential leader to join the Kids Matter Senior Leadership Team as Head of Fundraising. In this exciting role you will inspire, lead, and develop the Fundraising team, ensuring clear objectives, effective performance assessments, and tailored development plans. You’ll lead, shape and deliver an ambitious fundraising strategy, with a target of £854k in year one and continued growth ahead. We are seeking someone who can balance big-picture planning with hands-on management, ensuring everything runs smoothly day-to-day. 

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Accomplished fundraising professional with experience in a charity context and a proven track record of consistently meeting targets.
• Experience of developing and delivering impactful and integrated fundraising strategies.
• Proven experience in trusts and foundations, major donors and individual giving.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of inspiring and guiding a team to attain both individual and organisational objectives.
• Excellent engagement skills; able to communicate effectively with team members and great at building relationships with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

EPIC Restart Foundation is a charity grounded in the lived experience of gambling harm. We deliver transformational programmes that change lives.

Our team collaborates closely with individuals in recovery to create innovative programmes. These empower people across the UK to rebuild their lives following gambling harm. We build awareness of recovery support pathways and work to dismantle the stigma surrounding gambling addiction.

We address a crucial gap in long-term recovery support. Our approach is respected for its empowerment and focus on lived experience. The EPIC Restart Community is an inspiring online network offering community, learning, and connection. Our intensive programmes, Restarting Lives and Woman.Empowered, provide life-changing events, personal development, and recovery coaching.

Our team has grown significantly in recent years. We’ve directly supported over 600 individuals since our pilot launch in May 2021. Additionally, we’ve reached over 20,000 people through online and outreach activities. We’re embarking on a new two-year strategy aimed at becoming a Centre for Excellence in gambling harm recovery. We deliver transformational programmes with measurable impacts and influence stakeholders to increase support for those in recovery.

We currently have a strong financial position, but funding methods are set to change significantly. In 2025, the Government will introduce a statutory levy on gambling operators. Funds will be distributed to commissioners for research, prevention, and treatment grants. This process is still developing, so our path remains uncertain. However, we are optimistic and see growth potential as feedback on our work has been positive.

Who we are looking for

During a period of transformation, we need an experienced leader adept at developing relationships with commissioners. This could stem from the gambling harm sector or other relevant fields like addiction, homelessness, domestic abuse, or mental health.

Our Chief Executive must lead change effectively through ambiguity. Over 70% of our staff and volunteers have a lived connection to gambling harm, so it is vital that you can lead with empathy, kindness, and compassion, particularly during this time of transition.

Director of Communications

We are looking for an experienced and creative Director to lead communications for UnitedGMH and the Global Mental Health Action Network (GMHAN). 

You will have deep experience of global advocacy communications with the ability to develop and execute communications strategies with stakeholders across government, international organisations, civil society, the private sector, the media, research and academia. You will be confident in developing and implementing an organisational communications strategy, with a strong emphasis on brand, advocacy and digital communications to engage global audiences with UnitedGMH and GMHAN.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead a small central team, manage consultants, and provide communications advice and leadership to colleagues and partners worldwide. You will represent the organisation externally and manage high-level relationships with corporate partners, major health bodies, donors and board members. You will play an active role as a member of the senior management team, contributing to organisation-wide strategies, plans and fundraising.

You are a driven individual able to lead a cohesive and compelling communications approach, which harnesses our brands, profile, content, expertise, networks and channels to best effect. Reporting to the Communications Director, this new role will be part of a small international communications team covering strategic communications and media for UnitedGMH and the Global Mental Health Advocacy Network (GMHAN). You will have responsibility for helping manage freelancers and engaging with partners.

Key responsibilities

As our Membership & Marketing Manager, you will be a crucial part of the team, reporting to the Head of Membership, Marketing and Engagement alongside the Campaigns Manager. The team also includes the Communications and Marketing Assistant. This is a new role, specifically designed to support growth in membership and income during the next phase of Waterwise’s journey - increasing our reach and impact on water efficiency both within and beyond the water sector.

The role involves leading on the delivery of the membership and marketing strategy, working across the team to promote Waterwise’s income generating products and services. You will manage external communications across a range of channels, including website management, social media, email marketing, public relations and media engagement work. You will also act as the main contact for Waterwise members, servicing and retaining Waterwise Supporters, Affiliates and Corporate Partners. You will be a key part of our middle management and will be expected to operate at both strategic and delivery level.

We need someone who is proactive and motivated, with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will have a track record in managing marketing activity across a variety of channels, and of working in a membership organisation and delivering member services or communications - and an ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload. PACKAGE

VIDERE

Videre is an award-winning, UK-registered NGO. Our mission is to centre and elevate communities impacted by human rights abuses and environmental crimes, assisting them to lead investigations and direct evidence gathering to hold power to account through legal action, advocacy and the media.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Head of Development will provide overall leadership for Videre’s fundraising activities. They will develop and implement the fundraising strategy,  ensuring income goals are achieved in the short, medium and long-term through direct relationship building, input to programme design, concept note drafting and deployment of the CEO and Senior Directors. They will be part of the organisational Management Team, working closely with colleagues to deliver on the organisational strategy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic planning and management

• Lead on the delivery of the 2025-2027 fundraising strategy, adjusting as required, ensuring that Videre has the resources to deliver on its mission and strategic goals.
• Lead on maintaining our backbone infrastructure of prospect research, concept note coordination and drafting and deployment of senior staff (including yourself) into the right spaces with the right messages and background information.
• Track progress against the fundraising strategy, with regular reporting to senior management and the Board of Trustees against strategic indicators and outcomes, and pro-actively address any potential shortfalls.
• Maintain detailed and accurate income projections and forecasts, liaising with the Head of Finance & Compliance to closely monitor organisational cash flow.  
• Line manage the Trust & Foundation Officer (expected to hire in late 2025), providing close support on operational tasks, time management and prioritisation, and pro-actively supporting professional development.
• Monitor external donor trends and adapt plans accordingly to ensure Videre remains well placed to secure funding over the long-term.
• Contribute to long-term organisational planning and positioning, and proactively identify aligned funding environments and opportunities.
• Fully participate and contribute to the Management Team, raising fundraising matters where appropriate and helping ensure the organisation achieves its strategic mission.
• Manage the fundraising budget to ensure most effective use of resources.                                                    

Donor cultivation, approaches, and retention

• With the CEO, develop and maintain strong working relationships across Videre’s donor portfolio, ensuring timely and responsive communications with all existing and potential funders, including institutional donors, private foundations, trusts, individuals, and other partner organisations.
• Lead the development of cultivation strategies for existing and potential donors and manage their implementation.
• Develop materials, including proposals, grant applications, and supporting documentation tailored to the donor audience, ensuring accuracy, fit, and timely submission.
• Collaborate closely with Head of Finance & Compliance to prepare proposal and grant application budgets.
• Conduct prospect research and monitor new funding opportunities, analyse donor trends and maintain relevant knowledge on donor priorities, rules and requirements.
• Analyse the reasons for success or failure of funding proposals, extracting and applying learning to improve the success rate of future funding applications.
• Ensure adherence to Videre’s Ethical Funding Policy, carrying out due diligence on funding sources where appropriate
• Support regional staff with the development of strategic relationships with in-country donor offices and government embassies.
• Maintain comprehensive records of contacts, meetings and points of cultivation with all donors, and ensure proper follow up.

Grant management and reporting

• Lead on the preparation and submission of high-quality donor progress reports, coordinating teams as required for input.
• Ensure contract information is maintained and recorded accurately.
• Develop and maintain a tracking system to ensure timely submission of proposals, reports and acknowledgements.
• Liaise with the Head of Finance & Compliance to support organisational and donor audits.

Other

• Ensure Videre’s website and donor portal are regularly updated and effectively communicate the organisations values, mission and activities.
• Further organisational Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals by ensuring project teams are equal partners during the creation of funding strategy, proposal development, reporting, and the creation of key communications materials.
• Manage relationships with fundraising related consultants, designers and suppliers, including fiscal sponsors and the fundraising regulator.

The Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for volunteer and community engagement and supporting Resources and 5k Your Way groups. The role involves identifying and connecting with potential volunteers; engaging diverse communities affected by cancer; identifying and addressing barriers to physical activity; creating workshops and resources to support people with cancer to become more physically active, directly in the community and online; and signposting to 5k Your Way groups. It will also involve supporting the sustainability of 5k Your Way groups. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Identifying and Engaging Volunteers

Identify and connect with potential volunteers to support the 5k Your Way programme. Build relationships with local organisations, community groups and individuals who can contribute as volunteers to help deliver and sustain programme activities.

Coordinating work in the community with volunteer support

Working in underrepresented areas with people with cancer impacted by health inequalities to create community resource hub spaces where they can learn about the benefits of physical activity for people impacted by cancer. Understanding barriers, overcoming barriers, and engaging and educating community health staff and community groups around physical activity. Develop workshops and resources to raise awareness among community health staff and community groups about the benefits of physical activity for people affected by cancer. Provide community staff, healthcare professionals and volunteers with tools and strategies to encourage and empower community groups to adopt active lifestyles. Provide follow up opportunities for community groups to ask questions and discuss any concerns related to physical activity.

Creating Online and Community Resources

Develop online educational resources, such as guides, videos and FAQs, to inform community groups about the benefits of physical activity and address common questions. Create accessible, culturally relevant digital materials that can be shared widely with community partners and used by staff to engage their communities. Collaborate with MOVE’s marketing and digital team to ensure online resources are easy to access and visually engaging. Identify and create additional resources that can benefit 5k Your Way and MOVE 8 Week Programme participants and ensure they are accessible. 

Supporting 5k Your Way Groups

Support 5k Your Way groups that are struggling to grow and develop. Ensure groups are inclusive, culturally sensitive and meet the unique needs of people impacted by cancer and their communities. Partnership working Build and maintain partnerships with local organisations, healthcare providers and community groups to enhance the resources available to participants. Collaborate with community staff to establish or connect with 5k Your Way groups.

Support MOVE’s reporting and EDI work

Working across teams to support people impacted by cancer, including our cancer rehab team. Track and evaluate programme success by collecting data on attendance, engagement and participant satisfaction. Regularly gather and analyse feedback from community groups, staff and volunteers to continuously improve the programmes. Prepare reports to share insights and outcomes with MOVE and funders.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to provide expertise in events management, to project manage the 39th WAGGGS World Conference and to support regional teams in the delivery of five Regional Conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

39th World Conference

• Responsible for overall project management of the in-person 39th WAGGGS World Conference in 2026, ensuring that the event fulfils the objectives and is delivered on time and within budget.

• Coordinate the relationship with the host Member Organisation, the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia. Ensure communication is smooth and that WAGGGS’ input to the event is provided within agreed timelines.

• Develop and oversee the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding with the host Member Organisation.

• Management of the World Conference budget.

• Build and manage relationships with WAGGGS staff, volunteers, partners and Member Organisations, including working closely with volunteers involved in the delivery of the Conference.

• Coordinate the World Conference programme in collaboration with the World Board, WAGGGS staff and volunteers.

• Responsible for developing and monitoring the risk assessment and contingency plan for the World Conference, including ensuring appropriate Safeguarding processes and procedures are in place.

• Support with the recruitment and induction of the Conference Planning team and other volunteer groups.

• Coordinate the evaluation and reporting for the World Conference.

• Monitor the work of the Events Coordinators and Youth Event Lead.

• Establish and deliver regular reporting to the necessary stakeholders, including monthly updates to the World Board and Senior Management Team.

Regional Conferences

• Working closely with the respective Regional Manager, support the coordination and delivery of the five Regional Conferences taking place during July and August 2025.

• Take the lead on the logistics for the online governance elements of the Regional Conferences.

• Provide advice and support to the Europe Events Manager and Asia Pacific Events Coordinator in the Membership and Regional Support Team.

General

• Line-management of the Events Coordinators and Youth Event Lead.

• Manage the contract with the Event Management platform provider, ensuring it is fit for purpose and used for appropriate events within WAGGGS.

• Development of events management resources and templates that can be used to support the delivery of other events within WAGGGS, including risk assessment, budget management and other templates

We are working in partnership with the Maritime Volunteer Service (MVS) who are seeking a Fundraising Manager to manage their income generation via fundraising. The role will focus on enabling the growth and advancement of their mission in line with their strategic plan, whilst increasing opportunities for the development of new and existing projects.

MVS is a recognised national maritime training organisation, and a UK registered charity with more than 20 units around the country providing training to nationally and internationally recognised standards, serving local communities especially in times of need or emergency and taking part in resilience exercises ashore and afloat.

In this newly created post, the Fundraising Manager will lead on fundraising strategy and activity and will identify and develop a range of relevant income streams and opportunities to meet income targets, including trust and grants, corporate partnerships and legacy fundraising. Building on existing networks to develop strong relationships with members, key donors and sponsors, you will be able to analyse activity, providing accurate reporting on fundraising targets and income, whilst ensuring compliance and implementing best practice with respect to fundraising.

You will:

• Have fundraising experience with demonstrable management of a diverse range of income streams such as corporate fundraising, trusts and foundations, legacies, major donors and individual giving.
• Be results-driven with proven success of writing and delivering fundraising proposals, and meeting income targets.
• Be highly numerate and confident in handling financial data, and the ability to assimilate complex information.
• Demonstrate a good working knowledge of legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines around fundraising including Gift Aid, GDPR and the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice.
• Have effective marketing capability including website, content, press and social media, with knowledge of digital marketing tools e.g. CANVA / Mailchimp.

We are seeking a strong generalist fundraiser, with exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (both written and oral). You will be able to develop, manage and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders and be self-motivated. This rewarding role will come with the autonomy to shape and lead a new approach to fundraising for MVS, and you will have the opportunity to manage own time and workload.

The Director of Finance post is central to the success of Bowel Cancer UK particularly in driving long-term value creation and shaping financial strategy. The FD role is a true partner to the Chief Executive, including acting as deputy where appropriate. The post holder is responsible for managing the financial operations of the charity, ensuring that the income and expenditure are managed efficiently, with effective controls and reported accurately.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Director of Finance contributes to the overall strategic direction and leadership of the charity. The post holder also fulfils the company secretary role and is responsible for ensuring the systematic effective governance of the charity.

Additionally, the post holder will also lead on disaster recovery and incident management and on the governance of the charity, ensuring adoption of best practice.

The Director of Finance will lead the development of our financial strategy and align it with our strategic objectives. • Responsible for producing detailed event project plans to include timelines, risk management, guest management, venues, suppliers, staffing and budgets

ABOUT YOU

• A track record of 5-10 years in the successful delivery of events, with experience within the education/charity sector advantageous
• Knowledge of event management and marketing including an advanced understanding of the logistics of what makes an event successful 
• Stakeholder and supplier management experience
• You will have excellent project management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• You will possess excellent interpersonal and be adept at building relationships with stakeholders

We have an exciting new vacancy for a part-time Grants and Funding Manager to join our small, dedicated team and support us in developing and delivering on our strategic goals.

The Role

The Grants and Funding Manager will utilise Grant Finder and other resources to identify funding opportunities for BIAZA and its members and provide strategic advice on diversifying income streams.

Key Responsibilities

· Grant Research and Identification:

o Utilize Grant Finder and other resources to identify relevant funding opportunities.

o Maintain an up-to-date database of potential grants and funding sources.

o Monitor deadlines and requirements for grant applications.

· Grant Application and Management:

o Assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications.

o Coordinate with internal teams and BIAZA members to gather necessary information and documentation.

o Track the progress of submitted applications and follow up as needed.

· Income Diversification:

o Provide strategic advice on diversifying income streams for BIAZA

o Identify and evaluate new fundraising opportunities, including corporate sponsorships, partnerships, and individual giving.

o Develop strategies to increase financial sustainability.

· Stakeholder Engagement:

o Build and maintain relationships with funding bodies, donors, and other stakeholders.

o Communicate effectively with BIAZA members to understand their funding needs and provide tailored support.

· Reporting and Analysis:

o Prepare regular reports on funding activities and outcomes.

o Analyse funding trends and provide insights to inform future strategies.

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising.
• Familiarity with Grant Finder or similar funding databases.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the zoo and aquarium sector is a plus.

This role will be mainly home based, however, travel to London for meetings may be required. There may also be a requirement to visit members and attend seminars, conferences and networking events around the UK and Ireland. These may occur in the evenings or at weekends. 

This is a part-time, one-year fixed term role contracted at 0.2FTE, with the possibility of extension. Flexible working arrangements are available. The hours do not need to be confined to a single day each week and can be distributed in a pattern that suits both the candidate and the organisation. The full time equivalent (FTE) salary for this role is up to £40,000 depending on experience, which equates to £8,000 for this part-time role. The FTE leave entitlement is 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, for this role the leave entitlement will be 5 days, plus a pro-rata share of bank holidays.
