About the Programme:

Ambitious College, using the Project Search model, works with Amazon to support interns develop workplace skills. The programme runs from September for one academic year, with interns based at the workplace five days a week. Supported internships also benefit employers to learn what young people with additional needs can contribute and achieve.

As a Job Coach, you will play a pivotal role in our interns' journey towards paid employment and independent living. You'll have the chance to work closely with our interns, providing on-the-job coaching and implementing improvement strategies tailored to their unique needs and aspirations.

We're recruiting for someone to lead our Capacity Building & Standards (CB&S) function on a maternity cover contract.

The CB&S function aims to build the capacity of organisations and institutions to embed the processes, skills, structures and cultures needed for effective public engagement in decision making. This includes work in the public, private and third sectors.On a practical level this includes developing and delivering training courses and mentoring programmes; setting up and supporting networks; authoring good practice guides and thought leadership pieces; being responsible for our Knowledge Base and tools; leading sector-wide standards development; and, managing and other programmes and projects that supports the embedding of public participation and engagement in the UK. 

In this role you will lead the CB&S team in the development, design and delivery of impactful and sustainable capacity building and standards setting programmes and projects. You will oversee the work of the function and quality direct work of around 10 people (both CB&S team and cross-function roles). You will be a member of our management team, be accountable for the function achieving its objectives, report on function performance to the board and oversee the implementation of our impact framework supported by the impact working group.

We work across the UK, with offices in Belfast and London. Many of our staff work from home across the UK or in a hybrid pattern, rather than being based at one of our offices, though we meet up regularly as a team

We're recruiting for someone to lead our public engagement work on climate and nature and ensure that the public are involved in critical decisions on how to reach net zero and protect the future of nature and land in the UK.

Climate change is one of those big challenges and is a policy area where citizen engagement on both principles and practice is vital.  It, and Net Zero in particular, risk becoming a polarised and politicised issue where there is little room for considered, inclusive decision making. 

This exciting role will lead and coordinate our work with institutions, and others, to find a way through difficult issues like low emission zones, the energy transition, industrialisation of green spaces and other challenges in a way that centres the people who are impacted, with a social justice and equity lens. This role will primarily sit within our Innovation and Practice (I&P) function - focused on practical delivery of public engagement such as citizen assemblies, juries and other deliberative processes. The successful candidate will lead several of our major climate change and nature projects, including the UKRI Net Zero Living project - working with 28 Councils to embed meaningful public participation in their route to net zero. You will also contribute to the training, standards setting and advocacy work that Involve does - maintaining and growing our reputation in climate and environment networks and communicating the contribution we can make and impact that we are having.

We have a significant track record in public deliberation on climate change. We ran the first Climate Assembly in the UK and have since delivered many projects in this area including the People’s Plan for Nature. We have developed a reputation for best practice public dialogue, deliberation and capacity building. We want to grasp the opportunity for deliberative practices to make a real contribution to the change needed to respond to the climate crisis. This is a great opportunity to play a central role in taking this work forward. We are looking for someone to bring experience in designing and running participatory and deliberative processes and a good understanding of the complexities and challenges of climate and/or nature. You will need to be committed to taking a collaborative approach -  co-creating and coordinating our strategy on public engagement across the organisation and build on the work that others are doing.

As Head of Programmes, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the quality, delivery and impact of all our capacity-building programmes. You will be key in managing our stakeholder relationships, including our pool of Associates, grant funders and consultancy clients. You will be responsible for stewarding and developing our existing training offer securing an annual trading income of up to £140k and a grant income of £300k (60% of which is already secured for 25/26 with more in the pipeline).

The Estate Officer will ensure the delivery of the regional maintenance programme, comprising routine, periodic, planned and urgent works, and the delivery of time limited maintenance consultancy and estate management projects. The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.  

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

You should be an excellent communicator and able to motivate and empower others. This is a full-time role.

About the role:

On the back of continued growth due to successful fundraising performance over the last 5 years, we are ready to take the next step in our fundraising strategy and launch a Philanthropy Giving programme. You will bring expertise and skills in this field to support the fundraising team and build on the already strong stewardship and engagement we have with key individuals.

An experienced fundraiser or business development professional, you will relish the opportunity to own and launch the strategy and implement a long-term engagement plan to strengthen High Value relationships that will deliver a new and sustainable income stream.

The role is new and on an initial fixed term contract of 12 months but with the potential to make the role permanent if the strategy succeeds.

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum 0.8 FTE

About you:

You're likely to be a seasoned philanthropy professional, ideally with a track record securing gifts.

You will be comfortable in working closely with a Senior Leadership team and Board.

With an understanding of philanthropy and what makes major donors tick, you will also have the appetite and aptitude to develop new relationships from scratch.

The role will be a good mix of stewarding existing relationships and building brand-new ones. Therefore, you will need to be comfortable and confident researching and developing new contacts, harnessing the potential of existing networks and working closely with the wider organisation.

Sister Circle are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team.  Effective financial management is essential for our long-term sustainability and our capacity to support underserved women in our communities. 

As our Finance Manager, you will be meticulous with managing the financial operations of our charity; meeting deadlines, ensuring charity governance compliance, and supporting the senior management team with monthly budgeting and forecasting requirements.  You will play a lead role (with the Chief Executive) within our Finance and Governance sub committee as well as preparing reports for the Treasurer and Board of Trustees. You will manage one part-time member of the team (up to 2 days per week) who supports the day-to-day Financial and IT administration.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the process of creating the annual budget, strategic three-to-five-year forecasts, monthly/quarterly management accounts and preparation of budgets for funding bids and reporting
• Prepare and lead the annual audit process, including required governance with relevant bodies.
• Supporting budget holder colleagues to manage individual project finances. 
• Preparing management accounts/finance reports to provide staff, Treasurer and trustees with the financial information they need for good decision making and planning future work
