About the role

The Legacy Marketing Executive assists the Legacy Marketing Specialist in delivering our ambitious legacy marketing programme. You'll be involved with helping to plan and develop our legacy strategy to ensure our supporters and other target audiences feel valued, informed, and empowered to leave a gift in their will to Amnesty International UK. The day to day of this role involves briefing external agencies and internal stakeholders on campaigns, monitoring, and reporting on campaign performance, income and expenditure, editing and proofing copy and artwork and carrying out administration for the legacy marketing team, including responding to legacy enquiries.

THE ROLE
The Grants and Trusts Fundraiser will inspire grant bodies, charitable trusts, and foundations to support our mission. This is a key role in growing our funding to achieve our ambitious 2030 strategy. As part of the Grants and Trusts team, you'll craft and submit high-quality funding bids and projects, working closely with colleagues, partner organisations, and funders. The role will lead collaborative project teams, to present compelling cases to maximise funding opportunities, ensuring projects meet organisational and funder criteria. 
Attending external meetings to foster relationships and develop partnership agreements is vital to the success of this role, as is staying updated on funding trends to identify new opportunities and maintain the Trust's reputation with top-notch bids and reporting.
This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home with time spent on site and project visits (once a month depending on the project). You will also be expected to attend a team/departmental meeting in Grantham each quarter.

The role

This role will play a key part in the success of fundraising at The King’s Trust International, both through managing a small portfolio of both philanthropy and corporate donors and more broadly through supporting the fundraising of the wider team. What would we like…?

We're looking for someone with a background in graphic design and a keen eye for detail to join our Learning Design team as Graphic Designer for a 12-month FTC, to cover a period of maternity leave within the team.
 
You'll be responsible for for creating visuals and infographics for use across a range of different formats, including both digital and print. You'll use your understanding of graphic design principles and your technical design skills to help participants on our programmes both navigate our materials and make sense of complex information. 

We would like you to:

• Create graphics for use in our learning materials, both print and digital 
• Refine and, in some instances, establish visual style guides for each resource to ensure that all materials are aligned with our Ambition Institute’s brand style, accessible to all and replicable at scale. 
• Use your knowledge of core graphic design principles to inform your work and  support colleagues in learning design to use graphics effectively (relating to principles such as: typography, layout. colour and illustration)
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Learning Design team and across the organisation to translate ideas, information and concepts into strong visuals. 
• Writing briefs for external graphic designers, which accurately describe the work, provide clear style guidance and specifications and set clear timelines for completion of the work. 
   

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to Associate Director, Production.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team day (which rotate across our regional offices)  and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have a minimum of level 3 qualification in Graphic Design, e.g. degree, diploma or apprenticeship. You'll demonstrate an ability to work in a flexible manner and have experience of working in both digital and media print. 

It is essential that you are able to work efficiently in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe In Design. You'll also demonstrate an ability to work with content designers to help them turn their knowledge of information or a concept into a visual image.  

Whilst an ability to create clear and accurate briefs for external Graphic Designers and knowledge of accessibility standards are desirable, it is not essential that you have prior experience to apply for this role. We will provide training and development where there are gaps.

Role Overview:

As the Operations Manager at WeSwim, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our programs and services. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our regional WeSwim program, managing a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our impact and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of WeSwim's swimming sessions and events, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

• Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Director to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve WeSwim's goals and objectives.

• Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including pool facilities, community partners, and funders, to support the expansion and sustainability of WeSwim's programs.

• Financial Management: Contribute to budget planning and management, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish performance metrics and monitoring systems to track the impact and effectiveness of WeSwim's programs, and provide regular reports and updates to the board of trustees and other stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

We are proud to be partnering with a learning disability focused charity to find an outstanding, temporary, part time Governance Assistant (25 hours per week).

You will provide effective and efficient support to the Trustees and members of the charity and Trust; administering Board and Committee meetings and producing high quality minutes; facilitating the recruitment and induction of new Trustees and Governors; ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.

You will support the Head of Governance to enable the smooth running of team administration.

Taking the lead on administrative support for all Board and Committee meetings, including diary management, agenda drafting, minute-taking and any other practical arrangements required.  You will act as a key point of contact for the Trustees and enabling their active involvement with the organisation.

You will also facilitate Trustee recruitment and induction, ensuring all new Trustees are able to access the information and tools needed to work effectively and maintaining a record of their onboarding information. You will also provide ad-hoc support to the Director of Finance & Planning.

This role is expected to be for around 3 months and is almost fully remote with occasional visits to their London office. Immediate start.

Job Summary

As a Cluster Manager, you'll play a key role in helping our retail shops deliver a great experience for our customers and donors, using your local knowledge to truly appreciate customer trends and preferences whilst increasing awareness of our Hospice at a local level. Your mission is to maximize shop income, and manage all resources effectively. Your main focus is on helping shops achieve their KPI goals through driving operational and commercial excellence.

A day in the life of a Cluster Manager will involve:

• Leading your shop and a group of shops, providing direction, support, and advice on operational matters of shops in your cluster.
• Monitoring KPIs, encouraging shop teams to deliver results, drive sales, and raise vital funds.
• Leading your cluster of shops to deliver great visual merchandising standards and monitoring stock levels by shop profile and size.
• Supporting with people related tasks, such as recruitment and assisting with performance management situations (for staff and volunteers)
• Developing and growing a commercial and customer focused team of shop staff and volunteers, ensuring awareness of local competition, retail sector trends and current local trading opportunities

To be a successful Cluster Manager, you'll need:
