Bristol City Robins Foundation is a registered charity striving to make a positive difference through sport and learning. We recognise the positive impact on the community, but are continually looking to develop and expand our reach.
We require a full-time Designated Safeguarding Officer who will work across the Foundation and report directly to the Chief Community Officer.
The DSO is responsible for safeguarding everyone connected to the Foundation. This includes handling cases, reviewing policies, delivering training, and monitoring processes for every programme.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for staff, volunteers, parents, children and adults at risk where concerns about children’s welfare, poor practice or abuse are identified.
- Record and update all incidents, concerns, allegations, and evidence of poor practice via MyConcern/CPOMS, ensuring that external agencies are informed where necessary.
- To provide safeguarding management for the Foundation,n which effectively implements the Foundation’s Safeguarding strategies and policies.
- To act as the Foundation’s Safeguarding Officer in accordance with the EFL Trust’s Rules/Standards, other funding bodies and the Charity Commission, providing safeguarding advice and guidance.
- To deliver safeguarding inductions for all Foundation staff and volunteers in line with the Safeguarding Policy and in conjunction with SSO.
- To collaborate with the Club Senior Safeguarding Manager SSO and keep them informed of any serious concerns that may result in reputational damage and ensure they are referred to Charities Commission, Local Authority, Police etc.
You will have:
- A safeguarding or welfare degree level/professional qualification or other relevant safeguarding education and experience is essential.
- Experience in safeguarding training/education development, delivery and evaluation specific to individual roles and responsibilities within a comparable organisation. (Essential)

SafeDeposits is Scotland’s leading tenancy deposit protection scheme and dispute resolution provider. As a not-for-profit, SafeDeposits donates surpluses generated to its charity, the SafeDeposits Scotland Charitable Trust (“the Trust”). We have a new opportunity within our Policy, Research and Strategy team to join them as a Research and Programme Officer.
This is a full-time, permanent position ideally based within commuting distance of our Glasgow office. However, we are open to considering home-based candidates from other areas of Scotland, depending on their skills and experience.
The purpose of this role is to deliver and support the expansion of SafeDeposits research programme. The successful candidate will work on qualitative and quantitative research projects and ensure findings are disseminated effectively. To be considered for this opportunity you must:
- Have a degree in a relevant field
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in research, social policy, or a similar role (or equivalent postgraduate study).

Letchworth Foodbank is seeking an exceptional part-time Charity Manager to lead our organisation. Our mission is the prevention or relief of poverty in our area by serving the needy in Letchworth, Hitchin and Baldock. Receiving donations and grants of over £200,000 per annum, the Foodbank distributes over 40 tonnes of food and £50,000 of food vouchers every year to those that need it most.

We have the pleasure of partnering with Youth Connect South West, an independent non-profit charity dedicated to supporting young people in Bath, Northeast Somerset and parts of Dorset. They offer a wide range of opportunities for young people aged 11-25, both universal and targeted, to help them thrive.
Their comprehensive support includes youth work, alternative education, personalised 1-1 assistance, and valuable career advice and guidance. They have multiple locations including the Bath City Centre Youth Space, Radstock Youth Hub and Southside Youth Centre, and are committed to providing accessible services that cater to the diverse needs of our youth.
Youth Connect South West are now looking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer, who is strategically focused, combining strong business acumen with expertise in the young people's sector providing both targeted support and alternative educational provision along with youth work and community activity. This combination will enable the CEO to understand the unique needs and opportunities within this field, driving the charity's growth and development. The CEO leads a Senior Management Team and is responsible for ensuring outstanding and compliant governance across all aspects of the charity.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the charity sector, in a related field
- Demonstrated success in business development and fundraising
- Experience in strategic planning and implementation
- Clear and inspirational leadership and management skills
- Flair and engagement with supporters and internal and external stakeholders and building effective partnerships at senior level
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and practices
The new Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the day to day running of the Charity. To provide effective leadership and direction for the organisation. To have full responsibility for the effective management and development of all services connected with the Charity, and to be responsible for the standard of support provided to all those using their services. The successful candidate will instil the positive culture of the organisation and motivating the team to achieve fantastic results. You will be a problem solver who understands the bigger picture and will be able to demonstrate this through your experiences. You will be able to develop highly effective partnerships, be an active listener, excellent communicator and be an ambassador for the charity.

Do you have a good level of knowledge and experience of supporting people with multiple disadvantage in a housing setting? Then join Shelter as a Housing First Engagement Worker and you could soon be making a real difference to people affected by the housing emergency.
About the role
As an Engagement Worker, you will be pivotal in delivering Shelter’s purpose to defend the right to a safe home by enabling those we assist to enforce their housing rights. You will be a key member of a new Housing First team in South Tyneside, delivering intensive support to a small number of individuals with multiple disadvantage to move from homelessness to sustaining a tenancy. As the team is new you will need to form links with partner organisations and agencies and your role will be fundamental in supporting someone on their journey through Housing First, supporting five clients at any one time.
About you
You will need experience of support work, a proven ability to listen to, engage and work with individuals and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, especially substance misuse services, health and probation and people with lived experience of homelessness. You will have an awareness of working in a trauma informed, strengths based approach to help people with multiple disadvantage, as well as having experience of writing and implementing person centred support plans and writing detailed case-notes. Also, you have flexible time management skills and are comfortable collaborating with people from other teams and organisations.

About the team
Shelter North East has been supporting people in the region for over 25 years and provides advice over 12 local authorities. We are made up of an advice team, legal team as well as support services which include Housing First and DIY skills service, as well as an administration team. National staff based in the hub include a Community Fundraiser and Community Organiser, Lived Experience Officer and Business Development Manager.
We aim to bring about systemic change through our work with clients, training for our partners and volunteers and using evidence to bring about housing procedural and policy changes for people in the North East.

Group FP&A Manager | £450 - £500 per day (Umbrella) | Hybrid | London | 6-months +
For a large international organisation, we are recruiting an Interim Group FP&A Manager who will coordinate and produce consolidated financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. The Group FP&A Manager will contribute to planning activity and data across Finance, working closely with Regional Finance Directors to ensure consistency of all planning and forecasting. This role will report to the Director of Group Planning and Reporting and will lead, manage, and motivate a Financial Planning Analyst. This role is for a minimum of 6-months and could be extended.
Main Duties:
- Provide a financial planning, forecasting and management reporting service in the UK, Regions, and international business units across Group level.
- Deliver monthly MI reports
- Coordination and delivery of annual budget, quarterly forecasts and monthly re-forecasts
- Support multi-year planning
- Tracking and forecasting of financial KPIs
- Support the Director of Group Planning and Reporting in preparing reports for Exec on reporting and planning deliverables
- Lead continuous improvement of processes across monthly close, financial commentary and analysis and cash-flow forecasting
- Ensure the MI and forecasts are fit-for-purpose during a period of transformation and change
- Play a key role in the implementation of a new planning and reporting tool as part of a global finance transformation programme
- Set planning and forecasting timetables for the organisation
- Work closely with the Head of Strategic Planning and coordinate with the UK and Regional finance teams to ensure alignment of all financial planning activity
- Support strategy in the collation and consolidation of 5-year planning
- Development and rollout of multi-year planning workbooks and processes
- Work closely with Shared Service Centre in India, supporting the FP&A team in-country
- Lead, manage and motivate one Financial Planning Analyst
Person Specification:
- Qualified Accountant with proven Group-level FP&A experience including MI reporting
- Experience managing the annual planning and reporting calendar
- Ability to build budgets, forecasts, and annual plans at Group level
- Annual planning and reporting at Group-level
- International and multi-cultural company experience
- SAP experience, financial modelling, and advanced Excel
- Shared Services experience
