We are recruiting for a Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. 

The post holder will provide line management and high-quality support to the direct reports in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors. 

Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting.  In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.  You will have knowledge of relevant Criminal and Civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota. Please note that this is an on-site role.

Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience of partnering with women in the sex industry, to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse.

Our ‘Direct Work’ is central to the organisation, providing trauma-informed, holistic support, to women who are/have been involved in selling sex.  Whilst the service has been established for over 10 years, we are entering into a period of change, and are seeking an experienced manager, to lead the team through this transition.

Working as part of a team in our East London office, you will be responsible for providing oversight and support for the day-to-day operations of the team, who provide regular telephone support to a caseload of women.

These calls will be often the first point of support for women involved in the sex industry, offering a listening ear for them to process some of their feelings and experiences and providing emotional support; as well as providing more practical assistance to overcome the barriers they face in accessing support.  This could be through advocating with external agencies e.g., mental health, housing, problematic substance use, homelessness, poverty, domestic abuse, sexual violence, the criminal justice system; and to make positive steps forward with their lives.

Alton Castle and the Soli Centre are busy and vibrant Catholic Residential Youth Retreat Centre’s for The Kenelm Youth Trust, serving young people aged 9-24.

The Centre Manager Role will report directly to the CEO, be linked to the Retreat Director’s work and have an annual salary of circa £36,000- £38,500 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience, 24 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holiday, occasional discretionary days and a desirable pension scheme.

The Centre Manager responsibilities include:

• Key role to support the Retreat Programme Director by ensuring the bookings information, catering and general preparation of the Centre are all fit for purpose for programme delivery and other guests
• Supervision of line managers; to develop and implement HSE policies, plans and practices, in line with the Trusts procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.

Main duties of the job

About the role

You will join Solent Mind at an exciting time as we launch our new CRM and will play a vital role in ensuring we exploit all the opportunities this will bring to the organisation. You will ensure the effective technical leadership and day to day management of our CRM system and digital systems within Solent Mind, operating across the breadth of our delivery. You will maximise the potential this brings to respond effectively to charity, service user, staff and funder needs.

You will manage and implement changes within our new primary CRM and also other CRMs.

You will identify and address training needs and map our internal processes.

You will also monitor and maintain our data integrity and ensure data security and protection.

About you

You will be skilled in managing databases and importing/exporting data. You must have strong problem-solving abilities and excellent organisational and time management skills with ability to work under pressure. 

You should also have excellent CRM and digital system knowledge as well as excellent IT & Digital skills.

You are able to motivate colleagues and drive change. Being self-reflective and adaptable is an added asset to your skillset.

You will have a passion to make a meaningful contribution to the vital work our charity does each year and will want to join us in making a big difference to many people’s lives. We have an exciting new opportunity for a Conference and Events Officer to join our Engagement team at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. We're looking for someone with proven events experience and strong digital skills to help us deliver high-quality, inclusive events in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

The Conference and Events Officer will support the delivery of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events, working closely with colleagues, venues and suppliers to ensure everything runs efficiently and accessibly.

Key Responsibilities:

As Conference and Events Officer, you'll support the planning and delivery of a wide range of events. You'll be involved in the full event cycle - from logistics and registration to on-the-day coordination and post-event evaluation.

• Project lead on planning, coordination and delivery of designated physical, hybrid and virtual events
• Oversee effective and accurate set up and maintenance of event registration platforms, ensuring a smooth attendee experience
• Lead on venue visits and support with venue and stakeholder discussions
• Proactively champion accessibility and inclusion across all events to ensure equitable participation
• Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to support collaborative planning
• Support event marketing, including webpage content and digital promotions
• Take ownership of event logistic tasks assigned by the Conference and Events Manager
• Represent the team at stakeholder meetings where required
• Work with colleagues including the Symposium Event Manager and Celebrity Relations & Partnerships Manager to deliver key event logistics

About You:

You'll bring experience of supporting events and have a proactive and organised approach. The Conference and Events Officer role requires someone who is confident, adaptable, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.

• Experience delivering in-person, hybrid and virtual events
• Skilled in using CRM systems to support event delivery
• Able to travel and transport event materials when needed
• Willingness to work outside standard hours and stay overnight occasionally
• Strong digital skills, including event software (e.g. EventsAir) and webpage updates
• Understanding of digital marketing tools such as Dotdigital
• Clear and confident written and verbal communication
• Experience working with a range of stakeholders and suppliers
• Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple projects

Room to Heal is looking for a Co-Director for Finance & Fundraising to work with our Co-Director for Frontline Operations to support the thriving of our community.

Room to Heal is an established therapeutic community in London. We support refugees and people seeking asylum, many of whom are torture survivors, through an integrated programme of therapeutic and casework assistance, in the context of a community of survivors. Our approach recognises the political context of our community members’ multiple and ongoing experiences of trauma and marginalisation including in their home country, on their journey to, and within, the UK. We offer long term and holistic support.

We are looking for a Co-Director who:

• Will ensure the overall financial sustainability of the charity through development of the fundraising strategy and oversight of its implementation
• Understands the experiences of our members in order to sustain Room to Heal’s therapeutic community and ensure the safety and appropriateness of all of our services
• Has awareness and interest in psychotherapy and group work
• Makes strategic decisions that centre the experience of refugees and people seeking asylum alongside maintaining the sustainability of the organisation
• Has the drive, care and vision to create new opportunities to support refugees and people seeking asylum and to learn and share experiences through external networks and partnerships in the UK and internationally
• Is able to speak with authenticity and challenge injustices knowing directly what the impact is due to own lived experience
• Can lead by consensus and collaboration and has a strong belief in the therapeutic benefits of community.
