Job Purpose
 
As BSR’s Marketing and Communications Manager you will deliver impactful communications and data-driven marketing plans that support our mission and vision. 

You’ll work with teams to build strategic marketing and communications plans and manage a tactical calendar of multi-channel activity. All of which will drive engagement with clinical guidance, the latest science and research, quality education programmes, professional events and conferences. 

You’ll focus on promoting member benefits to boost recruitment and retention across the adult, paediatric and adolescent rheumatology community. And you’ll help colleagues to tell compelling stories of our work, to celebrate the work of our members, to showcase rheumatology as a career and to highlight the issues of most importance to our members. 

You’ll lead a talented team that manages the organisation’s communications channels, digital marketing, content strategy, and our people focused brand. Working closely with the Head of Marketing, Communications and Membership, you’ll play a key role in our data capability and insights, helping us to focus on impact led activity. You’ll also help colleagues to gather feedback and intelligence about our members and audiences, enabling us to continually improve our member offering. 

This role requires a creative, pro-active and impact-oriented marcomms professional who excels in both planning and hands-on execution. 

Main responsibilities

Team leadership and development 

• Lead and coach a team responsible for content creation, digital marketing, and membership campaigns 
• Provide regular performance reviews and professional development opportunities for team members 

Marketing and communications 

• Work with teams to develop tailored marketing activity to promote products and services 
• Track, analyse and report on the success/failures of our campaigns to aid understanding, efficiency and improvement 
• Execute marketing campaigns across traditional, digital and social media channels plus experiential 
• Manage the society’s website, overseeing content and performance and work with an agency for any development needs 
• Create compelling messaging that resonates with key audiences, including prospective and current members and stakeholders

• Manage the marketing budget ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources

Purpose of the role

The purpose of the Senior Committed Supporter Steward (Mid Value Lead) is to retain and develop the committed warm cash and committed regular (direct debit) supporters to increase their engagement and income.

The role is responsible for committed individual supporters, which involves;

• Managing a specific pool of mid value supporters and the dedicated budget for strategy development, appeals and stewardship of this pool.
• Managing the warm program for our regular giving (direct debit) donors, including maintaining a program of engaging stewardship materials for our new regular giving product, to increase commitment and reduce attrition.

Brooke has a major donor pool managed by our Philanthropy and Partnerships team, therefore the Senior Committed Supporter Steward works closely with them, to agree effective processes to identify mid value supporters with potential to move to the major donor team pool, or back down to mid value as required.

We are looking for a passionate individual with expertise in supporter engagement, particularly for regular giving and mid-value donors. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and skilled in developing insight-led strategies. Experience in managing multi-channel appeals including print and email is essential, along with the ability to create processes, gather insights, and propose budgets for strategic success.

Job overview

The Digital and Content Manager is responsible for the development and execution of BeyondAutism’s digital strategy, ensuring all online content and campaigns support the organisation’s strategic goals. The role owns and manages all digital platforms, including the website, email marketing, paid advertising, and social media (Bluesky, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook), ensuring content is engaging, optimised, and aligned with BeyondAutism’s brand identity. This role works closely with the Outreach and Revenue Marketing Manager (ORMM) to ensure digital content and campaigns are effectively aligned with lead generation, outreach, and revenue-driving activities. About the role

Channel ownership and development

• Develop and execute a digital and content strategy that aligns with BeyondAutism’s overall marketing objectives.
• Actively manage and grow the website, social channels (Bluesky, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook), and email database, ensuring all content and contact lists are up to date.
• Own the technical maintenance and development of BeyondAutism websites (WordPress), working with external developers when required.
• Ensure all digital activity is integrated and aligned, supporting schools, outreach, fundraising, and admissions.

Website and SEO management

• Develop and update landing pages to support marketing campaigns and lead generation.

Paid advertising and Google Ad Grants

• Manage Google Ad Grants, ensuring compliance and maximisation of the allocated budget.
• Set up, manage, and optimise PPC campaigns across Google Ads and social media platforms.
• Continuously track performance and adjust campaigns to improve cost-per-click (CPC) and ROI.

Reporting and analytics

• Establish KPIs for each digital channel in agreement with the Head of Marketing & Communications.
• Monitor website, email, social media, and PPC analytics, converting findings into actionable insights.
• Provide monthly performance reports, assessing the return on investment (ROI) for campaigns.

Marketing and outreach campaigns

• In consultation with ORMM, lead on digital marketing campaigns to drive leads, registrations, and awareness.
• Implement digital aspects of the lead generation strategy, including Lunch & Learn webinars.
• Consider the customer journey and experience in all digital marketing activity.
• Support fundraising and outreach teams in promoting campaigns through digital channels.
• Ensure that all digital marketing campaigns align with BeyondAutism’s wider strategic objectives.

Team and stakeholder collaboration

• Work across the organisation to ensure all digital and content needs are met and incorporated into the overall strategy.
• Act as a subject matter expert for digital marketing tools and software, upskilling the wider team.
• Work closely with external agencies, designers, and developers as needed.
• Line manage the Marketing & Communications Officer, ensuring alignment with digital priorities.

About the role

Data underpins everything we do. We’re looking for a Senior Database Officer with exceptional data management and analytical skills to ensure our data is structured, maintained, and utilised effectively across the organisation.

The Role

As part of the End Furniture Poverty team, you’ll work closely with the Director of End Furniture Poverty to lead and deliver our research strategy. You’ll develop and deliver high-quality research, analyse complex data, and create publications that inform policy and influence real-world change.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading primary and secondary research into the causes, effects, and solutions to furniture poverty

• Designing qualitative and quantitative studies

• Handling large datasets and using tools like SPSS, Stata or R for analysis

• Writing publication-standard reports and policy briefings

• Mapping services and interventions in the sector

• Staying up to date with key policy developments

• Supporting our influencing work with powerful evidence and insight

Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience of both qualitative and quantitative social research

• Educated to degree level (ideally in a relevant field such as social or political science)

• Postgraduate social research qualification

• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

• Proficiency in statistical software (e.g. SPSS, R, Stata)

• Confidence in managing complex datasets and distilling insights

• A creative and analytical mindset

• Knowledge of social justice, government policy, and socioeconomic issues

Your Role:

Key responsibilities

This role requires a highly motivated person who is able to build excellent working relationships with people and teams across the Fund. The successful candidate will design and lead on a wide range of different types of user research. The types of research may include:

• Understanding and supporting the improvement of our funding programmes, processes and internal grant making system
• Targeted research with minoritised communities to better understand barriers to our funding
• Discovery of user needs to inform a Learning and Development plan

• Provide specialist advice and support, helping projects stay on track.
• Oversee the adoption of post-award tools, such as booking systems and grant management platforms.
• Attend site visits to assess project performance and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition into post-award monitoring.
• Track and report on project performance, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
• Engage with external partners, including local authorities, governing bodies, and community organisations.

What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £40,000 - £46,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
