About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an eLearning Manager to join our team. This position is based in the Education Innovation Department.
Working alongside the other eLearning Manager, this role is jointly responsible to the Head of Education Innovation for the day-to-day management of the eLearning team and the College’s learning platform, RCOG Learning. In collaboration with subject matter experts you will focus on developing new high-quality online learning resources and on quality assuring existing content to ensure that it is regularly reviewed, updated and evaluated. You will play a key role in ensuring that the College’s product offerings on the new LMS continue to expand and that available functionality on the platform is fully utilised.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the quality assurance process for existing eLearning resources
- Ensure the eLearning platform runs well, discussing issues and potential new developments with the eLearning website developers.
- Advise and provide editorial oversight to eLearning resources to ensure scientific and grammatical accuracy.
- To develop a range of new products and services for the RCOG Learning platform to agreed standards and procedures.

About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated ability of managing the development of eLearning products from start to finish
- Demonstrated experience of managing an eLearning platform
- Experience of copy-editing and proofreading in a scientific or medical publishing environment, to ensure clinical accuracy of content produced
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to use their own initiative to deliver the best possible results for the College
- The ability to communicate successfully with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
This position is well-suited to an eLearning professional who has experience of working with SMEs (particularly from the medical profession) to develop high quality eLearning products, who is a strong communicator and team player and who has the ability to plan, prioritise and work to tight deadlines.

Philanthropy Manager
Job Description and Person Specification
Reporting to: Head of Philanthropy in the Fundraising Team
Location of Work: Home based. The post holder will be expected to travel to meet donors, travel to away days and team meetings in London. On occassion, you will need to be able to attend early morning breakfast visits therefore the post holder will need to live close to London.
The role may involve some irregular travel throughout England and Scotland. Expenses will be paid in line with our Travel and Expenses policy.
Contract Type: Ideally full-time, 35 hours per week, although part time / flexible hours may be considered. The role may require occasional evening and weekend work

BACKGROUND
Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma. Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK.
The new UK government’s Children’s Wellbeing Bill outlined in the King’s Speech, includes a requirement for free school breakfast clubs in every English primary school. This is a fantastic start towards ending child morning hunger. Magic Breakfast’s influence will be instrumental to ensuring school breakfasts are introduced in a way that is hunger-focused and barrier free. In 2021, the Scottish Government, pledged a not yet enacted promise to provide breakfast to primary children.
Thousands of secondary school children are at risk of losing their free school breakfasts from September next year. For many of these students, this is their only opportunity to have a nutritious meal before facing a demanding school day, including taking exams.

JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good the Philanthropy team’s role is to develop and deliver the charity's high net worth individual giving programme in line with Magic Breakfast’s strategic priorities to enable our organisational growth against our mission.
We are seeking to grow income through further cultivation and stewardship of our potential and existing donors. Our High Value Giving teams are forecast to collectively raise £5.1m in 2021/22, up from £4.6m two years ago in 2019/20. The team includes partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, corporate organisations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy, this role will have a particular focus on ensuring that Magic Breakfast is offering the highest quality of donor care from start to finish, and building and developing our prospect pipeline.
We’re looking for a proactive person with excellent relationship building, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship skills as we seek to build our prospect pool, enhance or supporter journey and achieve our ambitious fundraising targets.
The Philanthropy Manager will have the opportunity to be innovative and creative, to create and test impactful donor journeys and engagement opportunities so Magic Breakfast’s supporters feel valued and can understand the transformational difference they are making to hungry children and their learning in the UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage your own portfolio of donors, providing excellent stewardship and strategies to uplift and secure multi year donations

Work with Corporate, Trusts and Individual Giving teams to identify potential major donors and high value regular givers within Magic Breakfast’s donor portfolio and implement plans to develop these relationships;

Support the Head of Philanthropy to build relationships with senior volunteers to garner their support and help encourage introductions to their networks

Ensure all donations are thanked and recorded in a timely way, and logged accurately on salesforce

Support Head of Philanthropy in accurately forecasting philanthropy income for each financial year, and ensure forecast income is updated monthly.

About James’ Place
James’ Place Charity was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts, but didn’t find it.
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. James’ Place offers men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.
The first James’ Place opened in June 2018 in Liverpool, the first of its kind in the UK, and has to date supported more than 2,300 men experiencing suicidal crisis through our innovative and safe therapeutic intervention. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centre and in our landscaped garden, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families.
In 2022 we opened a new centre in London and in early in 2023 we launched an appeal to raise over £10m to fund three more centres across the country. Our third centre opened in Newcastle at the beginning of 2024, and we are currently raising funds to open a James’ Place in Brimingham.
The Fundraising and Communications team
We are a small team with big ambitions. The team comprises a Head of Fundraising and Communications, two Fundraising Managers, a Senior Communications Manager and a Senior Outreach Officer. We are recruiting two roles to the team: a Fundraising Executive and a Fundraising and Communications Assistant.
Fundraising Executive
We are looking to recruit a Fundraising Executive to support our fundraising and communications activities and be part of our small and dedicated team. This role is a new post in the team, so it is a great time to join the charity as we invest in our fundraising and communications team to maximise our income and realise our ambitions.
About You
Having previously worked in the charity sector, you will be passionate about our cause and committed to supporting us in raising the money required to meet our ambitions.
With an eye for detail, strong analytical and organisational skills, you will be able to undertake research on prospective corporate, major, trust and public donors and produce high quality written reports to support funding bids.
Using your ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively, you will support fundraisers by providing them with timely and accurate information and manage a portfolio of smaller trusts and foundations, which will also include stewardship.

In this varied and interesting role, you will:
· Manage the receipt, recording and acknowledgement of donations received by the London centre and national fundraising activities, working with other centre staff on the development of administration procedures.
· Ensure the CRM database is kept up to date and support the fundraising team to produce high quality reports.
· Support the Events Manger in the delivery of fundraising and engagement events across the organisation.
· Support the Fundraising Managers in arranging meetings and visits with donors and prospective donors.
· Use digital media strategy tools to generate relevant and varied digital content across chosen channels.
· Create regular communications, reports and updates for fundraisers to tailor for their individual donors.

The Impact Evaluation Manager plays a critical role in driving Business Launchpad (BLP) and Tooting Works’ (TW) impact and financial goals by evaluating our efforts, securing funding, and reporting to stakeholders.
The Impact Evaluation Manager will lead on our ambition to have BLP become self-sustaining by securing grants from trusts and foundations. You’ll develop and implement robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks, gather impactful data, and effectively communicate our successes to funders, partners, and the communities we serve.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, strategic, and deeply committed to fostering strong relationships with our young entrepreneurs, tenants, and partners, ensuring the outcomes and value of our work are clearly articulated and understood.

Responsibilities
Impact Strategy and Reporting
- Ensure that all reporting is aligned with both funders’ requirements and the organisation's broader impact goals, while preserving its independence and vision.
- Lead the design, review, and implementation of BLP’s impact framework and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Provide support to both Business Launchpad (BLP) and Tooting Works (TW) by designing and delivering training on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) methods, ensuring teams across both organisations are equipped to confidently produce and apply evidence-based work
- Develop and oversee the implementation of monitoring tools and processes that provide actionable insights to drive data-informed decisions.
- Refine and update data collection tools, train and support team members in their effective use, and continuously evaluate and improve the tools and processes to enhance data accuracy and impact measurement.

This role will seek to identify new high-level donors, as well as help to develop existing

Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Leadership Team, other team
members and (occasionally) external consultants, this role focusses on building and
consolidating our major donor portfolio, so increasing our donor base and thus our in-year
and pledged income.
Main Goal:
To successfully steward a portfolio of new and existing major donors through tailored

1. New business acquisition:
a) Analysing our current supporter base to build a prospect list, using our database
(Salesforce) and external databases, to assess the potential to upgrade active,

identification of high-net-worth individuals who may have an interest in CBM’s work,
and through proactive and effective networking, including working with our Trustees,

2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:
a) Developing and implementing tailored cultivation and stewardship plans, so that
individuals are engaged in a bespoke manner, ensuring that they feel a part of CBM
and that their generosity is recognised, through regular reporting, interactions,
updates and tailored approaches.
b) Developing donor-centric applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post,
email, phone and face-to-face) that are driven by insight on donors’ individual needs
and preferences and are tailored to their interests and requirements, following up as
required.
c) Reporting to donors in both formal and informal ways, as appropriate, to ensure
they are kept up to date with CBM, the impact of their grant and project
developments.
d) Hosting and facilitating face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors,
including organising dates, venues and agendas/ talking points, and creating
Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes as far as possible.
e) Promoting the importance of legacies, and legacy income, where appropriate, and
to steward those who have pledged.
f) Organising and managing the successful delivery of at least one Major Donor Event
annually (cultivation, stewardship, thanking etc), to ensure positive relations and
potential new business, in collaboration with our Fundraising and Programme
colleagues.
g) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy and the Philanthropy Officer on the
identification, stewardship and cultivation of potential corporate partners.
3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Crafting compelling proposals and reports that meet the bespoke needs of major
donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues,
within agreed deadlines.
b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of major
donor proposals / reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications
Team to ensure consistency of messaging.
c) Working with the Philanthropy Team to develop new projects/ themes/ appeals for
potential projects.
d) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy on collating information and providing reports
to Foundation donors as needed.
4. Planning and Budgeting
a) Contributing to the development of an Income Generation and Engagement
strategy, led by the Director of Fundraising, Impact & Communications.
b) Closely monitoring income and expenditure, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy
where necessary, and contributing to the creation of yearly fundraising budgets and
plans and quarterly Board Reports.
c) Establishing, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, milestones

The role is expected to ensure that the treasury reconciliations are updated on a regular basis, manage the issue and governance of cash and procurement cards and assist the Head of Financial Operations in the stewardship of our cash and investment balances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management, monitoring, and reporting of the Trust’s financial instruments, driving optimal performance and security.
- Act as the key liaison for internal stakeholders and Banking institutions, expertly managing transfers, investments, credit facilities, and account structures.
- Maintain and improve the bank mandates and user access framework, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the finance governance team to strengthen fraud prevention and monetary risk controls.
- Record and manage treasury transactions in the ledgers, upholding the highest standards of financial accuracy.
- Lead the monthly reconciliation of treasury codes, swiftly resolving issues and mitigating risks to maintain financial stability.
- Manage month-end treasury operations, delivering insightful reports that guide strategic decision-making.
- Provide in-depth working capital analysis, enabling senior stakeholders to optimise cash planning and maximise fund returns.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive cashflow reports and forecasts for Trustees and other key stakeholders.
- Partner with the Transactions Manager to enforce robust financial controls and oversee effective cash management training to enhance the organisation's control culture.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified Accountant, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively produce information for financial stakeholders across the Trust.
- Be an experienced treasury and accounting professional who can confidently monitor cashflow, lead in liquidity reporting and forecasting, and manage working capital and analysis.
- Have experience working with banks, bank accounts, purchase ledger and procurement teams to promote effective and strong relationships.
The successful candidate will be based in their Birmingham office, requiring you to go into the office three days per week. You will also benefit from a fantastic holiday package, including 30 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and closure over Christmas and New Year.
