About the Role

We are seeking a Programmes Delivery Officer within our Global Relationships Team, whose role will be to support our vision to equip the Methodist Church in Britain to be a growing, evangelistic, inclusive, justice-seeking Church for the 21st century.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Global Relationships, the successful candidate will be a collaborative and professional member of the Global Relationships (GR) team within the Mission Team as it fulfils its strategy in response to Our Calling and a Methodist Way of Life.

In this post, you will focus on the following priorities:

• develop and implement our People to People programmes, including long-term Mission Partnering, Encounter Worldwide, Encounter Together, Global Mission Fellows, the incoming Evangelists Programme, Church Twinning and more.
• help facilitate and strengthen ongoing relationships between Partner Churches and the Methodist Church in Britain, and provide Methodist people with unique opportunities to learn and engage in mission in a variety of global contexts.
• promote the work of global relationships with children and young people at 3Generate, their annual gathering.

About You

Key Requirements

• Graduate qualification in mission, development studies, project management or equivalent, together with relevant experience.
• Excellent understanding of the global mission context in the 21st Century.
• Proven ability to work cross culturally and to relate to persons within different globally based organisations.
• Highly organised and able to track multiple areas of work.
• Availability for occasional on call and out of hours work.

You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide holistic one to one community support to women with a variety of needs.

The Minerva London service provides holistic, trauma-informed support for women in touch with the Criminal Justice System. We do this through offering dedicated one to one support, safer women’s centre spaces and specialist interventions and partnerships.

To be successful as the Community Key Worker you will need the below experience and skills.

You will be working in a supportive, friendly, and welcoming team whilst having oversight of a caseload of women, who may be under the supervision of the National Probation Service or in custody, enhancing the offer of holistic support and advocacy services available to them throughout their journey.

Building relationships with other statutory and non-statutory agencies in local communities is vital to build referral pathways and provide a whole system approach to supporting individuals.

To carry out this work you will meet women in the community in your designated borough and co-locate with other agencies including the National Probation Service, as well as regularly attending Advance’s North London vibrant Women’s Centre/office space.

You will be a creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder and has good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions.

A Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Nutrition is required, while a Master’s degree is preferred but not essential. An interest in science communication and social media is also desirable.

MAIN PURPOSES OF THE JOB

The Stella Maris (SM) Regional Port Chaplain will promote the vision, mission and values of SM in caring for all seafarers and fishers by helping to meet their pastoral and spiritual needs. They will recruit, train and support SM staff and volunteers for the port and will maintain good relations with local parishes and the local diocese. They will work ecumenically with members of other Christian maritime societies with whom SM works.

1. To meet the welfare and pastoral needs of all seafarers and fishers equally according to their needs and wishes. To be an advocate on their behalf, upholding the dignity of each. Through regular and frequent ship visiting, to understand the working and living conditions of the seafarer and fishers and be able to work for justice and for the well-being of all crew members without distinction.

2. To address the communication needs of seafarers, providing transport, news, and access to telephone and internet facilities.

3. To address the welfare needs of seafarers and fishers, including support with money transfers, hospitality, and crisis support, e.g. abandonment, injury and death, detainment, bereavement, advice and access to medical care.

4. To meet the ecclesial, spiritual, and sacramental needs of Catholic seafarers and fishers; to facilitate the religious and spiritual needs of others and to be a pastor to all, sharing one’s faith as appropriate.

5. To participate in SM conferences, ongoing formation and other professional courses as required.

9. To liaise and maintain good working relationships with all port stakeholders, including the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, the International Transport Workers’ Federation, port health, harbour masters, dockers, security, and shipping agents.

10.  To work in an ecumenical and multi-faith context by respecting the differing religious and spiritual needs of seafarers drawn from diverse regions throughout the world.

11.  To encourage and support the development of an ecumenical service to seafarers through engagement with our ecumenical colleagues, including the Mission to Seafarers, The Fishermen’s Mission, The Sailors’ Society (to name a few).

12.  To engage with local maritime colleges.

13.  To engage with the local press, in particular the local Catholic diocesan press.

14.  To represent and be a proactive advocate for SM at Deanery meetings, in local parishes, in schools, with diocesan Justice and Peace networks, with migrant communities, in the local Catholic community and in the local community as a whole.

15.  To support the Fundraising and Communications team with the development of local fundraising initiatives.

16.  To promote SM internally and externally so as to ensure a highly motivated workforce and a positive external image.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Team and Rota Administrator for the National Domestic Abuse Helpline. The National Domestic Abuse Helpline is Refuge’s largest service. We have a busy team of Helpline Advisers working around the clock to support our callers, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, and a fantastic pool of volunteers. The Head of Finance is a pivotal role for the Trust, providing leadership in financial management and planning. You will be responsible for delivering the accounting and controls and the budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis for the business. This role will have significant interaction with non-finance staff providing support and guidance.

We are looking for a qualified accountant with 5+ years PQE, who will lead the Finance Team. You will combine this with a positive and innovative attitude, constantly looking to improve performance and support our teams across the Trust. This a perfect role for someone who is excited by an opportunity to have the autonomy and breadth of role and to work with a team of staff and volunteers committed to nature’s recovery.

The Role
Support the administration of UK and international legacy gifts, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely processing from notification to final distribution.

Work closely with global teams to develop and implement strategies that maximise legacy income across different regions.

Maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executors, solicitors, and international colleagues, to ensure the smooth administration of legacy gifts.

The Candidate
Experience in legacy administration, preferably within an international context.

Track record in managing a complex caseload of legacy gifts, ensuring compliance and maximising income.

Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with attention to detail in reporting and financial management.
