About this role
Join the mission to protect our planet's future by becoming our Senior Grant Officer. Synchronicity Earth is a growing organisation with an expanding team, and we are now looking for an experienced Grant Administrator to take ownership of the grant-making process within the team and organisation, building on the structures already in place to ensure we are a supportive and dynamic place to work.
Our grant-making model is unique. We channel philanthropic donations from trusts and foundations, corporate foundations, corporates or individual donors through partners and grantees (identified by our in-house team of conservation experts who make up the ‘Research Team’), which are undertaking conservation work in those areas that most critically need support. The central core and operating costs of Synchronicity Earth are generously covered by the Synchronicity Foundation, which means that any donation we receive is disbursed out to the field without a management or administration fee taken. This enables the donor to have confidence that 100% of their funding is going out to the field and delivering impact.

Specific responsibilities will include the following:
- Oversee and manage the distribution and administration of all grants within our programmes.
- Work with both the Programme and Philanthropy Teams to ensure all grants are matched with the relevant income stream.
- Oversee the grant admin work of programme officers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of grant paperwork.
- Monitor and track grantee compliance with all report submissions and any other key deliverables.
- Manage the grant pipeline, reporting issues to the Programmes Team, working towards solutions with partners and enabling speedy grant giving.
- Support the Programme Team in development of rolling 3-year plans for funding, and liaise with Philanthropy Team to allow planning for fundraising.
- Provide advice and guidance to applicants and grantees on administrative procedures, policies and practices.
- Act as the internal point of contact for all grants in our database (Salesforce).
- Coordinate and deliver on reporting requirements to the Finance, Research, Operations and Risk teams for all grant giving.
- Support across teams as required on entry, cleaning, research and administration relating to data management.
- Work to develop processes and systems to improve efficiency.

Essential skills and experience
- Grant management experience (at least 3 years).
- Experience of working with finance and database systems i.e., Salesforce, NetSuite, Fluxx.

Reporting, location, and work hours
This position is a permanent position that is based in Synchronicity Earth offices in Central London, with the option for hybrid office/home working if the successful applicant wishes with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office (laptop would be provided for home working). During a 6-month probationary period we would require 4 days per week in the office. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK until at least the end of 2028, we cannot accept applicants who require visa sponsorship for this role.

This is an exciting time to join us at the Medical Research Foundation, as we have recently launched our new five-year strategy to drive the life-changing advances of tomorrow, by laying the foundations for ground-breaking new discoveries today. A key part of this strategy will be to invest in our fundraising team to achieve transformational growth in voluntary income in the next 10 years. To support this growth, we are looking for a Fundraising Grants Officer to play a crucial role in raising income from potential funders.
Reporting to and working closely with our Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will be part of the philanthropy team and will make a significant contribution to delivering ambitious income generation plans from a range of income streams. Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our research projects and research funding plans.
- Develop a pipeline of low value-high volume applications to Trusts & Foundations; research, tailor templates and submit applications.
- Work closely with the Senior Philanthropy Manager on the development of a new programme of high value-low volume applications to Trusts & Foundations and support the submission of applications.
- Undertake research to identify individuals with an interest in medical research to support the development of a Major Donor fundraising programme.
- Undertake research on companies and assess their potential for partnership to support the development of a Corporate Partnerships programme.
- Organise meetings and events for prospective supporters and provide briefings for colleagues and senior volunteers.
- Work with the communications team to develop compelling case for support documents and other donor materials to attract support for our research projects.
- Manage and maintain records and monitor progress of applications and relationships, including working to agreed KPIs and ROI.

We will offer you
We will offer a salary of between £29,000 and £34,000 depending on experience for a 36-hour week and double-matched pension contributions up to 10% max employer contribution. We would like a full-time employee but are happy to consider a part-time contract (min 0.8 FTE). We offer 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata) per year, excellent financial, health and social benefits and an opportunity to join a dedicated team making a difference to human health. About the role
The role leads the delivery of our social media strategy and supports our Creative Content Lead to deliver Drinkaware’s multimedia content strategy. The role is key in ensuring that the public can make conscious, informed choices about alcohol and can find help if they need it. The key focus of this role will be developing and growing our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn). It will suit a creative, thoughtful digital producer who is able to successfully adapt difficult and nuanced messages for our key audience groups. Outside of social media, this role will be responsible for producing new multimedia content for other channels and making sure that existing digital content is up to date, accurate and engaging, to promote our brand and information through social and digital channels and to protect us from repetitional damage.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead Social Media
- Manage, develop and grow Drinkaware’s social media channels, including community management and maximising engagement across channels
- Plan, develop and schedule social media content in line with our content planning cycle
- Proactively develop new content ideas that amplify activity happening across the company and tap into relevant conversations (e.g. Alcohol Awareness Week).
- Monitor social channels for reactive engagement opportunities and to flag any reputational risks emerging on socials
- Work with Creative Content Lead to develop the Drinkaware social media strategy and plan, including KPIs, ensuring it meets our content strategy objectives
- Proactively stay ahead of social media trends and ensure our channels are affectively developed and maintained
- Develop and manage a small group of influencers to support the work of Drinkaware
- Build relationships with specific audiences through community management across channels, which includes finding advocates/case studies for Drinkaware

About the Role: The purpose of this role within MAP is to build a high-performing digital fundraising programme in the UK, and in new international markets, to drive and stabilise increased fundraising performance across a range of digital channels and techniques. In collaboration with the Head of Individual Giving, you will lead the development and delivery of our Individual Giving digital marketing strategy to successfully deliver MAP’s new five-year vision. - Coordinate with volunteers and staff to ensure seamless event execution and the achievement of fundraising targets.
- Manage and steward Challenge event (Great North Run) fundraisers through the WhatsApp group chat, fostering a supportive and motivated network.

Data Management and Reporting

Location: Hybrid – at our office (Argon House, Argon Mews, London SW6 1BJ) and remotely at home.
At minimum of two days a week at the office.

Responsible for: Line manager to Fundraising Officer (Events and Community) as well as manage the events budget

Overview of the role
The postholder will be responsible for our events, community fundraising and corporate partnerships.
What you will do as part of our team
Strategic Planning
- Work with the Head of Fundraising & Major Donors and the other Fundraising Managers to refine and develop our established fundraising strategy to maximise income from events, community fundraising and corporate partnerships against an annual target.
- Develop our annual programme of events, including cultivation, stewardship and fundraising events, whether virtual or physical.
Events Management
- Overall responsibility for the design, planning and implementation of all Glass Door events, including our flagship fundraising event, the Sleep Out in the Square, and our annual supporter thank you event.
- Conduct an evaluation after each event, considering its successes, factors which could be improved and any recommendations moving forward.
- Oversee the Fundraising Officer as they support with the co-ordination and implementation of events.
- Ensure health and safety is at the core of all event planning and implementation.
- Manage our challenge events portfolio and identify new opportunities which could increase Glass Door’s income
Corporate Partnerships
- Pitch for corporate support including commercial partnerships, charity of the year relationships and sponsorship.
- Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, working with companies where the focus is on employee fundraising and volunteering, cause related marketing and/or pro bono support.
- Develop a Corporate prospect pipeline, reengaging lapsed donors from our database, and identifying new prospective partners.
Community Fundraising
- Oversee our work with community groups, supporting the Fundraising Officer, ensuring we provide necessary stewardship, support and guidance.
- Local churches are big supporters of our work. Support the Fundraising Officer to maintain excellent relationships and support them with events
- Establish a new community fundraising product, as an additional or alternative option to our flagship event Sleep Out
Policies and regulation
- Stay well informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and guidance from the Fundraising Regulator, ensure this is regularly communicated to the wider Fundraising team and forms the basis of Glass Door’s Fundraising Policy
- Ensure all charity fundraising activity (including "in aid of" events) is compliant with relevant charity and statutory legislation and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
