We are looking for an experienced corporate fundraiser to join our Fundraising Team. You will be a compelling and engaging communicator who can work at all levels of the organisation to cultivate and develop the relationships that will enable the Ri to achieve its strategy. You will be a strong account manager and skilled in securing new business, managing a portfolio of corporate supporters at different stages – from prospecting through to pitching, contracts negotiation and partnerships renewal.

Strong presentation and communication skills are a must.

This 9-month maternity cover is an ideal role for someone passionate about working at the timely intersection of climate and health, confident engaging with sustainability projects and policy work, and adept at both technical institutional funding proposals and creative partnership building. This role will manage our external communications and marketing content. It will be supported by and report to a Director, while collaborating closely with both the operations and practice team. This role will be ‘top to bottom’, considering and developing our communications strategy, and putting strategy into action by creating marketing materials, optimising our website content, and driving engagement on social media to effectively share our content externally.

About the package and benefits
- Salary range: £35,000 - £42,000 (pro-rata)
- Location: We’re a national organisation with an office in London. All of our team work in a hybrid way, which varies depending on role and location. This role requires at least 1 day per week/fortnight in the office during the induction period. Beyond that, you are required to come to London at least once every 6 weeks.
- Working hours: preference is 22.5 hours per week, open to exploring flexible working requests that match organisational needs with personal needs/preferences

What You’ll Do

Identify and cultivate relationships with new, corporate partners, individual donors, major donors' foundations, and other potential supporters

Create and execute comprehensive fundraising plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets and support BLCF’S strategic plan and mission

Write compelling proposals, solicitation letters, and other fundraising materials to secure funding from businesses

Create, launch and manage supporter stewardship and recognition programs to ensure corporate donors and partners feel valued and engaged with the organisation

What You’ll Bring

The Role

· Be responsible for ensuring accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes.
· Prepare and complete all shop administration including cash handling and banking functions to the highest standard, accurately and on time, always adhering to charity policy and procedures.
· Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
· To be ideally educated to A-level or equivalent.
· To have experience of managing people/volunteers including recruitment and development.
· To have previous retail experience in charity sector or commercial sector is desirable.
· To have experience of meeting and exceeding targets within a retail environment.
· To be highly organised with good time management skills.

The Contactless giving Fundraising Team sits within the wider F2F Fundraising and Individual Giving Team
This important role entails working with the Trusts regional teams as a Team Leader within the wider Face to Face (F2F) fundraising team In this particular instance this role will have a focus on championing our Contactless Giving Workstreams across the regions, with the support of their face to face fundraising colleagues.
They are responsible for delivery of our contactless giving programme and ensuring that they are able to setup a maintain a varied programme of workstreams by sourcing and providing key technology and tools to all of the Trusts regions. You will help drive delivery of the agreed Team and individual targets and KPI’s for the region(s) with a particular focus on Contactless Giving.
This role will work across the regions as a dedicated national support and will be required at times to provide hands on coaching, training and support regionally to drive ongoing engagement and enthusiasm for the programme. They will also support the Regional Face to Face Fundraising Managers to identify and business case potential future opportunities when required.
You will play a significant role in supporting the day to day management of our contactless giving income stream by supporting our F2F Fundraisers, regional colleagues and volunteers, ensuring our Values & Behaviours and performance excellence standards are met on a consistent basis.
Location & coverage
You will be working remotely and should expect to spend more than 50% of your week out on location meeting with your fundraising team across the region.
There is an expectation of working some weekend days at our key regional events, spread over the year and being a part of the weekend Contactless Giving management rota, which denotes working at least one weekend per month.
As a remote worker you will be assigned one of our main hub spaces as as your formal base
Relevant hubs include: Leeds, Ellesmere Port, Burnley.
Working Hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday with occasional weekend & bank holiday working.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
Key Accountabilities:
- Work with the Contactless Giving Fundraising Manager to devise robust strategies to achieve weekly & monthly volume and quality based fundraising targets, particular focus on Contactless Giving within the regions, Museums and attractions and our F2F Fundraising teams.
- Develop contactless fundraising techniques with the Contactless Giving Fundraising Manager that improve income generation for the Trust.
- Support the Face to Face fundraising management team with reviews and business casing of future fundraising opportunities for the face to face & regional fundraising programme.
- Ensure management of key contactless giving channels including devices, signage, branded clothing and collateral all contain contactless donation touchpoints across the network.
- Adhere to the IOF and Fundraising Regulator Code of conduct.
- Handle all sensitive and data protected information obtained by donors as confidential and in a safe and secure manner in line with the Trust’s GDPR and Security Procedures.
- Ensure regular Compliance checks and training sessions are delivered to the F2F team and Regional colleagues, particualrly around Contactless Giving.
- Clear, regular and timely communication with the Team and all members of the senior management team.
- Nurture and maintain positive relationships with regional colleagues to support delivery of F2F fundraising priorities, engagement and training; particularly contactless giving programme.
- Coach and mentor team members in the region and support the maintenance of performance targets and improvements where needed.
- Ensure that all data input and insight reporting is maintained for the benefit of the team including key systems such as CRM, Evergiving and other fundraising platforms and technologies.
- Support operational processes for managing equipment, managing suppliers, regulatory compliance and complaints management.
Skills, knowledge & experience:

Do you want to be part of an ambitious and high-performing fundraising team that aims to exploit the legacy growth potential in the animal welfare charity sector?
We are looking for a new member to join our legacy and in-memory team, within its Individual Giving department. This role will help to manage and test legacy marketing campaigns with the aim to grow the size of the charity’s legacy Enquirer and Considerer base using various channels such as social media, direct mail and telemarketing. This role will also work on recruiting enquiries about the charity’s Pet Promise scheme and recruit new in-memory and tribute fund supporters. Although the role is strongly weighted to legacy marketing, the post-holder will also manage Woodgreen’s mid-value programme, creating a brilliant opportunity for an existing legacy fundraiser to broaden their professional remit.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, able to deliver campaigns on time and within budget. They will need to make decisions based on sound evidence, and will always demonstrate an attitude to learn-and-adapt campaigns. They will also have strong communication skills, able to champion legacy and mid-value giving, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.

You will;
- Provide expertise and collaborate with the Senior Donor Development Manager – Engagement and Legacy to develop legacy marketing acquisition and mid-value programme strategies.
- Plan and project manage the annual operational plans, managing direct marketing campaigns from end to end using a mix of offline and online channels, which includes telemarketing, direct mail and social media/PPC to grow the existing legacy pipeline.
- Manage the services of multiple suppliers for the planning, creative, media, print and distribution, producing comprehensive written briefs with verbal discussions to ensure the output meets requirements.
- Build relationships and work closely with internal colleagues across the organisation to leverage ‘piggy-backing opportunities’ as well as helping to champion legacy giving across the charity
- Work with the Database Team to deliver end of campaign results analysis, ensuring reporting data is correct and highlight key observations and recommendations for future activity or further insight requirements.
- Manage a six-figure expenditure budget, allocating budget to channels and products
You will have;
- Experience of planning and managing legacy acquisition campaigns to recruit individual supporters ideally using telemarketing, direct mail and social media/PPC.
- Experience of effective management of multiple key suppliers, ensuring service is to agreed standards
- Experience of effective expenditure budget management
- Experience of prioritising and managing multiple campaigns
- Experience of analysing results and using insight to inform strategy and tactical plans
- Experience of building effective relationships with internal stakeholders
The starting salary for this position is £34,730 - £42,446 per annum depending on experience. In addition to this you will receive;

The role will also include helping to distribute much-needed grants to projects across the park.
