WithYou is part of a consortium and our team in Lambeth is recruiting for a Service Manager, to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group. The Service Manager will directly link in with both the Head of Partnerships for WithYou and the Addictions Borough Lead, as lead providers, to ensure clear communication and a mutually agreed delivery of service. As Service Manager, you will be responsible for collaboratively leading the team to ensure a high level of performance by meeting targets and KPIs set, whilst creating a supportive and inclusive environment for our staff team. This post requires excellent leadership skills to work innovatively and confidently, supporting staff in high performing recovery work, overseeing quality assurance and safeguarding and with the capacity to work within competing demands and tight timescales.

Safeguarding those we provide our services to, sharing your concerns and putting the right interventions in place is key to the success of this role.  You will work with a dedicated team of people, building strong relationships with other agencies to deliver the comprehensive support needed by those using our services. You will lead your team, providing development and clear direction aligned with the organisational aims and be a strong advocate for WithYou externally, maintaining and building our profile as you go.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.

We’re open to discussions with candidates working in leadership roles outside of the drug and alcohol arena - for example, in mental health or housing. We’re most interested in your ability to demonstrate motivational leadership skills, with the drive to promote staff development and retention. You’ll have the support of an exceptional Head of Partnerships and a wider team of experienced and dedicated stakeholders across the organisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Forensic Psychologist to support our service based in Croydon. Based at a 27-bed residential property which specialises in forensic mental health, complex needs and dual diagnosis. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will support individuals with specific needs, and offer a level of contact, support, and supervision to support our residents to reintegrate within society. You will be providing psychological assessments and support residents who have multiple and complex needs that need support from our staff teams to meet their personal goals. 

Penrose Croydon: A 27-bed residential property specialising in forensic mental health, complex needs and dual diagnosis. We offer psychologically-informed housing and resettlement support that comes with additional help for individuals’ specific needs. Our forensic mental health step-down services consist of four individual sites which cater for high and medium support for both, men and women.

Shift Pattern: 22.5 hours per week, shift pattern to be agreed. 

This role is the equivalent of NHS band 8B

WHAT'S SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES YOU WILL HOLD?

• Provide advice and guidance to the wider team on criminology, psychology, and behavioural patterns, and how they link to resident/participant behaviours and engagement.
• Provide highly specialised psychological assessment for participants/residents with highly complex conditions based on the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of data from a variety of sources, which may include neuropsychological testing. 
• Exercise full clinical responsibility for resident/participant psychological care as a care coordinator within a multidisciplinary team. 
• Formulate and implement plans for various therapy routes and management of assessing mental health conditions based upon appropriate conceptual frameworks and evidence-based practice.
• Discuss and negotiate care plans with all relevant internal and external parties.
• Undertake highly skilled evaluations and make decisions about treatment options and provide guidance and consultation to other parties contributing to the resident/participant’s diagnosis, formulation, and intervention plan.
• Facilitate one to one and group workshops and interventions, workshops, PIE training, and support with implementation plans across the organisation.
• Ensure all work carried out is compliant with Health and Safety, CPD activities and HCPC requirements.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Post-graduate doctoral level training in Applied Psychology (or equivalent) as accredited by the BPD (or equivalent awarding body)
• HCPC registration as an applied Psychologist with chartered status
• Previous experience working as a qualified forensic psychologist, including working with people with complex backgrounds/needs and a good understanding of the sector
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
• Ability to teach, train, consult, and deliver clinical supervision
• Understanding of criminology, psychology, and behavioural patterns, and how they link to different behaviours and engagement
• Ability to understand and apply safeguarding protocols as they arise
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee and support the development of fundraising, with consideration to diversifying our income avenues.

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the UK-wide Volunteering Team, as the lead representative for Northern Ireland.  

As the Volunteering Development Manager, you will support the development of key volunteering initiatives and projects both across the UK and Northen Ireland. You will play a key role in supporting colleagues in Northern Ireland to identify opportunities to embed volunteering across their work.

Contributing to Sustrans 5-year volunteering strategy aims, you will work closely with the Head of Volunteering to shape and implement this within Northern Ireland.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable individual for a hybrid role based in our Gloucester office with weekly travel expected to the Wiltshire & Swindon region. This position offers a unique blend of working environments supporting a healthy work-life balance, offering the flexibility to work from home on occasion.

As the Operations Manager for Gloucestershire and Wiltshire you will be responsible for the implementation, development and the ongoing delivery of a high performing service through excellent operational management and supervision of people and resources.

You will ensure the team delivers individual, tailored support for adult victims of any crime primarily through group and peer support with the option of individual casework support where this is appropriate for the victim.

You will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Gloucestershire Constabulary, Wiltshire Constabulary, Gloucestershire County Council, criminal justice agencies as well as other statutory agencies and third sector organisations across Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

You will be the nominated deputy for the Area Manager covering both services and this will include assisting the Area Manager in monthly/quarterly reporting and attending monitoring meetings with the PCC office.

As part of your role you will ensure victim voices and experiences are listened and responded to in and beyond the criminal justice system.

ROLE OVERVIEW

With Alan and Babbette and the Indigo Trust, you will support and work with the Lead Trust Executive to manage end-to-end grant-making, research new funding streams on thematic areas of interest to the Trusts, and draft reports on wider context for new funding areas. You will develop and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders, deputising for the Lead executive at grantee events and network meetings, and working with grantees to support their successes and their challenges.

With the Woodward Trust, you will be responsible for end-to-end grant-making, writing narrative text on grants awarded for Trustees meetings and annual reports, sifting and preparing grant applications for shortlisting by Trustees, and carrying out thorough due diligence on all applications. You will have day-to-day responsibility for the effective grants administration, including recording information for a robust and efficient audit trail, and preparation of grant award letters.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

As someone who is passionate about social justice, you will be either an experienced Grant-maker or have experience within a professional field relevant to the focus of the trusts.

You will be equally comfortable carrying out research and building relationships with high profile individuals, as well as with grassroots groups. The role requires a breadth of analytical and administrative skills.

About LMK

Good relationships shape our health and happiness, yet we are taught so little about them. LMK (Let Me Know) is on a mission to change that. We are a young and thriving charity providing education about healthy and unhealthy behaviours so that young people have the knowledge and skills to avoid abuse and thrive in their relationships. We work in schools, community organisations and workplaces across London.

LMK is growing at pace and we are ambitious in our plans for the future. We’ve already engaged 15,000 young people and professionals in our workshops in our first 4 years and we want to reach 10,000 young people per year by 2025-26.

Job Purpose

This is a new role, joining a small and growing Fundraising Team, with responsibility for proactively leading the cultivation and stewardship of potential and existing major donors, grant-making trusts, and corporate supporters, with a particular focus on driving significant income growth.

You will build and maintain lasting relationships with LMKs valued funders, thinking strategically and working closely with programme delivery colleagues to develop fundraising cases of support and impact reporting.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Development, the successful candidate will join LMK’s core staff team, and will have a real input into our plans and strategies for the future by working with LMK staff, LMK Leaders (youth workers who deliver our workshops to young people), members of our Youth Advisory Board and trustees to develop and implement our long-term strategy.

Key responsibilities:

● Develop and deliver a structured and dynamic plan to engage high-value donors, trusts and corporate supporters.

● Understand supporter motivations, identifying opportunities across the Charity that inspire and engage, enabling supporters to achieve their fundraising goals.

● Work closely with colleagues to develop inspiring fundraising cases for support and impact reporting.

● Undertake prospect research, identifying prospective new funders for LMK

● Meet with and present to potential and existing funders with passion, enthusiasm and professionalism. 

● Manage funder relationships, ensuring that they are kept informed of progress, key milestones and future opportunities to support the charity, and that they are thanked and thoughtfully stewarded, in order to maximise retention, and increase levels of support over time. 

● Influence and shape project development and impact measurement by ensuring major funder needs are taken into account

● Work with colleagues to monitor the progress of grant-funded projects, ensuring that obligations are fulfilled within the terms of the grant wherever possible and informing funders in a timely fashion of any significant deviations from projections. 

● Proactively seek out feedback from funders where appropriate, share insights with the team and use this to inform LMK practice.

● Ensure all activities are legally compliant, in keeping with our values and adherent to due diligence and our Acceptance or Refusal of Donations Policy.

● Ensure that information relating to funders is appropriately recorded in CRM systems, accurate and adheres to data protection guidelines.

● Provide regular reports and information to the Head of Fundraising & Development on your progress against plan, targets and income generated.

● Comply with our policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, confidentiality, complaints and data protection.

Person specification

● A proven ability to work proactively to identify new contacts and opportunities for funding through extensive research

● Experience of providing excellent relationship management and stewardship resulting in increased levels of financial support from partners

● Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

● Thorough understanding of legal and charity regulations in relation to fundraising

● Skilled in identifying and developing creative, high-quality cases for support, funding proposals and impact reporting in collaboration with others

● Strong MS Office/Google knowledge, numerate, comfortable with data

● Highly organised to manage a diverse workload with excellent time management and ability to pay attention to detail.

● A knowledge of the Violence Against Women and Girls sector, Education sector or working with young people would be preferable, although not essential.

The Dementia Support Line Team Leader is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Support Line which receives over 60000 calls per year and operates across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. 

The Dementia Support Line Team Leader manages a team of Dementia Advisers providing leadership and direction to ensure they provide a highly responsive service, giving appropriate advice and support to people affected by dementia. 

In this role you will coach and develop your team to deliver high quality person-centred support for everybody affected by dementia. You will be part of the team ensuring management cover across the operating hours of the service. We are looking for someone who exemplifies our values, someone who is: Determined to make a difference when and where it matters most. Key responsibilities: 

- Responsible for the recruitment, development and performance management of Dementia Advisers working within the service. Use coaching and mentoring and strong people management skills to ensure a positive outcome on service quality, employee satisfaction, productivity, absence management, and employee emotional resilience.  
- Engender a positive, solutions focussed working environment with a good team spirit and sense of equity. 
- Manage competing demands and deadlines by adopting a flexible and proactive approach. 
- Enable and empower advisers to work to their potential and contribute to the supportive and collaborative culture within the hub management team.
- Support advisers across sites and maintain the rota to ensure appropriate levels of staffing are in place throughout the service hours to meet the demand and needs of people affected by dementia.
- Contribute to projects and continuing service improvement activities. 

About you
 
As a Dementia Support line Team Leader you will:

- Be able to manage your team to ensure the provision of a high quality service to people affected by dementia.
- Have experience of managing staff as well as strong IT skills and the ability to use management data to ensure KPIs and standards of service are met.
- Have experience of integrated telephony systems and service user databases.
- Have an understanding of the needs of people with dementia and their carers and direct experience of working in a lead role in a telephone and e-mail based service.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have the ability to coach, mentor and support staff, getting the best out of them.

About the team

It’s an exciting time to be joining Shelter. There’s a lot of change happening following the launch of our new brand, which has re-positioned the organisation and set the base for us to tackle what has grown from a housing crisis to a national emergency. We currently run a network of around 90 community charity shops across the UK - from small boutiques to large furniture shops. Our online offering has grown rapidly over the past two years, with significant turnover during the Christmas peak, success in the launch and promotion of new goods, plus the launch of our secondhand online shop – and we’re planning to expand further in the near future.

About the role

This is a great opportunity not only to see e-commerce in action, but to help deliver an e-commerce strategy, grow Shelter’s sales of second-hand goods and raise income to tackle the housing emergency. Day-to-day, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the E-Commerce Hub Manager and local area shops to maximise the hub’s financial contribution to support the work of Shelter through the effective management of volunteer, stock and premises. We’ll also rely on you to provide efficient warehouse operations and customer order processes for our online shop and help ensure a safe, clean and bright environment in which to work.
