We are looking for a Business Support Assistant to join our team in Wales. This is a 12-month fixed term appointment to cover maternity leave. It is a part-time post (equivalent to 3 days per week).

To meet the requirements of the Welsh Language Standards and our Welsh Language Policy, this post is Welsh essential.

Depending on your location and preference, you will be based in either the Cardiff or Newtown office. You are welcome to be based in the office full time, or a combination of home and office working. You will occasionally need to travel within Wales to work with colleagues.

In this role, you will support the efficient and effective delivery of grant-making activity in Wales, ensuring an excellent service for all our customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.

As first point of contact, you will play a key role in ensuring that all telephone and email enquiries are dealt with in a friendly, professional, and timely manner, responding with relevant information, and where necessary, connecting the enquirer to a colleague for further advice.

With a keen eye for detail, you will support the efficient delivery of the funding lifecycle by ensuring that new requests for funding are accurately processed and allocated to colleagues. You will also undertake administrative activities to ensure that customers and stakeholders received timely information.

Working in collaboration with colleagues, you will deliver a range of service activities including coordinating meetings and helping organise events, fulfilling travel booking and accommodation requests.

Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard connects and supports people in need across Sussex. Originally set up as a helpline in 1975, we've grown to deliver a wide range of essential services for our community.

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated, experienced fundraiser to oversee and drive forward all of our income generation. This post will work closely alongside our various teams and projects to raise awareness of our work among potential supporters. The postholder will be responsible for building sustainable and diverse income streams through regular giving, bid writing, events, and corporate partnerships. You will establish engaging supporter journeys that maintain long-term relationships with regular donors, high net worth supporters, and corporate clients.

Here's the person specification for the role:

• At least 2 years of experience of proven success in a fundraising role.
• Detailed knowledge of at least one of the following: trusts and foundations / individual giving / community / corporate fundraising.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage and enthuse audiences through a broad range of communications channels.

Senior Quality Assurance Officer

Who are Women’s Aid?

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. Purpose of the Senior Quality Assurance Officer role: 

As Senior Quality Assurance Officer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting and innovating Women’s Aid’s National Quality Standards (NQS) offer for member services. Sitting within Women’s Aid’s busy Membership Team, the postholder will successfully lead in supporting member services to continually improve and evidence good quality specialist responses to survivors’ needs in local service provision and will support the internal team alongside external consultant assessors to deliver a strong quality framework that reflects the diversity, and complex work of our members.  A key time for Women’s Aid to connect our policy work, our membership and our strategic campaigning work around the standards that fully represents the unique value of the membership body. 

Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Quality Assurance Officer:

• To be responsible for the coordination of delivery of Women’s Aid National Quality Standards assessments including ensuring assessment processes are completed in a timely manner. 
• Scheduling Quality Assessment Panels including recruitment of panelists. This will include responsibility for ensuring terms of reference are fulfilled and ensuring potential conflicts of interest are identified and addressed. 
• Presenting assessments to the Quality Assessment Panel in the unavoidable absence of the assessor and notetaking including recording outcomes, actions and decisions where required.
• To support the Chair of the Quality Assessment Panel in conducting panel meetings and highlight areas of risk or conflict to the Chair in advance of meetings.
• Be first point of contact for dealing with appeals and complaints, managing low to middle-risk complaints and escalating to the Membership Resolution Manager as required for high risk complaints. 
• Responsibility for allocation of assessments to internal and consultant assessors ensuring target dates are met and operational considerations, such as location and conflict of interests, are considered. 
•  To conduct quality standards assessments of domestic abuse services, including reviewing evidence, making site visits, writing assessment reports and presenting cases to the Quality Assessment Panel.
• Review of assessment reports for quality, adherence to standards and consistency prior to presentation at Quality Assessment Panel, including giving feedback to the assessor and ensuring this is actioned.
• Develop a clear strategy and delivery plans to support the sustainability and growth of the Women’s Aid National Quality standards including supporting increase of income-generation activities.
• Line management of Quality Assurance Officer including day-to-day support, supervision and appraisal activities.
• To work across WAFE to promote the Women’s Aid National Quality Standards to commissioners and government as the ‘gold standard’ quality framework for services working with women and child survivors of domestic violence.  

What we are looking for in our Senior Quality Assurance Officer:

• Knowledge of quality frameworks appropriate to domestic violence services.  
• Knowledge and proven experience of the principles of quality assurance and good practice in delivering accreditation processes.   
• A very good understanding of the experiences and needs of women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence and violence against women and girls and the intersectionality that impacts this
• Thorough understanding of the role of specialist services supporting women and children at risk of violence against women and girls   
• Experience of writing and producing briefings and reports   
• Experience of planning, delivering and managing projects within a set timeframe and with clear outputs.  
• Experience of providing and/or managing direct services to survivors of violence against women and girls.   
• Excellent verbal, written and computer literacy skills.   
• Ability to analyse complex information and identify the implications for women and children affected by domestic violence and the services supporting them.

Who will I be changing the lives of?

All of our learners are aged between 16-25 years, have some level of additional need and as a result have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).  Some of the most common areas of need that our learners experience are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), ADHD although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs.

Main Responsibilities

• To be responsible for a caseload of learners with EHCP's aged 16-25 years
• To act as the main point of contact for staff and services with SEND related queries
• To arrange and carry out Annual Reviews and PEP’s as well as completion and submission of all relevant paperwork, acting as chair for these meetings when required
• To assist the Change Leader with the transition process for learners starting at Really NEET as well as those learners leaving Really NEET
• Responsible for over-seeing the progression of learners on completion of the course

Adopted adults can access their adoption records and birth families are supported at the time of losing children to adoption, helped to stay in touch through letterbox and provided with independent emotional support.

We’re looking for a UX designer and researcher to join the Service Design team on a permanent contract.

We’re a small team of 14 who are committed to growing user-centred design skills and best practice across the organisation.

We want someone with skills in both UX design and user research. The ideal candidate would have experience in roles such as UX Design, Interaction Design, and User Research.

We need someone that has the ideas and confidence to lead a team, and influence how we do things. And if you’re comfortable working across a service and tackling exciting design challenges, you’re ticking all the right boxes.

This is a newly created role with the purpose of maintaining a culture of compliance across the charity whilst ensuring we adhere to all relevant regulations and laws.

Together with the Governance Manager, you will be the key point of contact for compliance, providing advice and support to the team and ensuring we have procedures and controls in place across all areas of the charity. This will include training to ensure the team is skilled and acting consistently, as well as identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of compliance and be a point of contact for all compliance and data protection queries, providing accurate advice to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop and maintain robust procedures and structures that give the charity the ability to fulfil our regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the charity is aware of, and is reacting to, any fundraising, data protection and other compliance regulation changes, by understanding wider implications.
• Work to maintain a culture of compliance across the charity through the development of training and guidelines that are easy to understand and accessible.
• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure that compliance procedures and policy documents are followed and fit for purpose.
• Assess data risks and complete Data Protection Impact Assessments where needed.
• Assist the Governance Manager in producing ad hoc and annual compliance reports, as well as returns to the Charity Commission and Companies House, so that EHAAT meets their legal responsibilities.
• Update the charity’s data assets file.
• Review contracts and third-party agreements prior to signing to ensure they are in line with compliance regulations.
• Ensure adherence to Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice through the undertaking of fundraising  standards audits.
• Provide oversight for the timely management of leases and contracts.
• Ensure necessary insurances and contracts are in place to provide required suitable cover.
• EHAAT is a patient focused emergency medical charity. It is essential that all our staff are competent and confident in the delivery of CPR and use of an AED (defibrillator) in an emergency situation. For this reason, you will complete in house, CPR and AED awareness training annually.

Development Officer

As Development Officer, the main part of the role will involve assisting the new Business Manager with appraisal of development opportunities across ISHA’s core and key working boroughs to meet the organisations business development growth. This will comprise review of potential projects and communication with multiple agencies to include Landowners, Estate Agents, and developers as well as internal and external stakeholders like local authorities plus our regulator and funding body, the Greater London Authority. The role also requires working closely with the development team both Delivery and Sales to the agreed development programme to achieve handover and completion.

In addition to the above, there are other aspects of the role you will be required to undertake and involve reporting and monitoring of defects and latent defects across our projects to ensure these are resolved to a satisfactory conclusion and outcome, whilst ensuring excellent customer services are delivered in line with ISHA’s core values. You will also help the team to take on the role of raising Purchase Orders and processing departmental invoices for payment to our approved suppliers within the agreed timeframe.

The post holder will be fully involved in all aspects of the day-to-day management of their designated service, including line managing the relevant front-line staff. You will lead and develop competence of direct reports as well as carry caseloads of customers requiring support. You will work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that the service delivers on all targets, both financial and those around the quality of the service.

Heaney Hub implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, particularly those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. The role of an IDVA is to address the safety of victims and survivors at high risk of harm. IDVAs work with their customers from the point of crisis by safety planning and risk assessing using the DASH to ascertain the level of risk to the victim.

Dementia Carers Count has an exciting new remote role for an enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Manager within the income generation team to build corporate relationships whilst making a difference to dementia carers lives.

Job Title:      Corporate Partnerships Manager
Reports to:   Director of Communications and Growth
Contract:      Permanent
Hours:         28 - 35 hours / week must be available to work Tuesday & a minimum of 4 days per week
Salary:       Circa £40,000 per year FTE, subject to benchmarking
Location:   Remote, with attendance at staff or partner in-person meetings as necessary for the role, usually once a month in London

Job purpose
This is a new role, responsible for delivering financial support for our mission from corporate partners.  Initially, the majority of your time will be devoted to new business development, including prospect identification, and shaping and delivering pitches and proposals to corporate partners to meet fundraising targets.  As we grow, the work will be divided across high quality stewardship of existing partners across all sectors, as well as working creatively to identify and develop opportunities to upscale their impact.

This role sits alongside Trusts and Foundations and Public Fundraising within a team whose remit covers income generation, campaigns and marketing.  The post holder will report to the Director of Communications and Growth, supporting the senior leadership team to engage corporate partners and prospects where appropriate. 

Key responsibilities  

·Develop and maintain propositions to attract companies to support our work

·Identify, prepare and make highly targeted approaches to secure major partnerships that align with our organisational priorities, focusing on commercial / brand partnerships, strategic partnerships and donations

·Work with the Comms & Growth team to identify opportunities for income growth through existing and new corporate partnerships

·Proactively source and refresh a pipeline of corporate partnership opportunities by monitoring, analysing and reviewing relevant industry trends and developments, through networking and researching prospects

·Provide excellent account management and stewardship to new and existing corporate funders, maintaining regular communication with key contacts, and providing informative and engaging updates on their impact

·Design and deliver partnership plans that meet shared expectations, maximise income and where possible support our advocacy or campaigning activities

·Where relevant, conceive and deliver employee engagement opportunities that maximise funds raised and deliver the best possible supporter experience for our partners
