This is a varied, part time role reporting into the Senior Support Services Manager but working across and with multiple teams. Some of what you’ll be doing will involve:

• Arranging meetings, conferences and training
• Supporting the team with our digital channels, including our website, social media and online shop
• Updating key spreadsheets and databases
• Assisting with improving our processes

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of People and Culture will work  in a spirit of mutual accountability with fellow directors, taking strategic leadership of Turn2us’s People and Culture Directorate. You’ll have responsibility for strengthening our culture and supporting all our people managers to attract, develop and retain colleagues who are committed to our values and guiding principles.

You will take proactive leadership of our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) work across the organisation so that we can become more inclusive and diverse, as well as oversee our approach to co-production, making sure that we centre the voices and insights of people with experience of financial insecurity in the design of all our work. Importantly, you will also provide rigorous oversight of our approach to safeguarding and our broader approaches to governance, risk, and compliance across the group – which includes our wholly owned care home business, Elizabeth Finn Homes.

Our Direct Marketing Team is part of this department, and recruits and develops supporters. We are seeking a Direct Marketing Officer to join this team to independently manage and deliver a series of high standard direct marketing campaigns to recruit new donors, communicate with existing donors, and generate agreed income for Battersea through a variety of warm and cold marketing channels such as direct mail, print media, and digital promotion. This role will manage Battersea’s raffle product and campaigns associated with it.

We’re looking for an experienced Change Programme Manager to join our Programme Development team on a maternity cover basis. As a Locum Bank worker, you will provide effective day to day shift cover that supports the aims of our Projects and encourages the full participation of our clients. The shifts could be in our Accommodation services, Floating Support services, Refugee resettlement services or in our ex-offenders pathway. Pay range: £13.15 - £14.49 per hour. All Locum shifts are paid at base £13.15 per hour rate unless a higher rate with additional case working responsibilities is agreed with project manager.

Peer Support Group Development Officer - Midlands Area

Must live in the Midlands area (Birmingham, Nottingham, Coventry, Worcester etc)

Overview:

Following the successful application of a National Lottery award, we are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Group Development Officers to set up and sustain local peer support groups for people living with and affected by prostate cancer. These roles focus on building on our established networks to expand peer support in defined areas, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery through strategic outreach and resource development.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals living with and affected by prostate cancer, providing crucial support through community-based initiatives. If you are enthusiastic about volunteer management and community service and have the skills and experience, we are looking for, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Group formation and support: Oversee the setup and operation of 10-12 self-sustaining and independent peer support groups within your assigned region across the lifetime of the three-year project. Ensure smooth delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of group activities. Support existing group leaders and organisers to reach more people living with and affected by prostate cancer with tools and resources.
• Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and support volunteer Support Group Leaders. Assist in the co-production of training materials and resources, aimed at creating self-sustainable groups.
• Community Engagement: Conduct outreach to map existing support services and facilitate the integration of these services with the peer support groups. Host local engagement events to boost volunteer recruitment.
• Data and Case Management: Use a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to support high-quality volunteer and case management, ensuring accurate data collection to support service outcomes.

Job Purpose: 

The Head of Brand and Content plays a lead role in managing the brand, overseeing the production of content, coordinating content across all channels and ensuring that it follows MSF’s objectives in terms of operations, fundraising, advocacy and recruitment.

In close collaboration with the Director of Communications, you would lead the development and implementation of the organisation’s brand and content strategy. 

You would manage and support a team of content producers in line with our best practice management standards; appraising, coaching, mentoring and supporting your team and ensuring they are fulfilling their objectives to the best of their ability. You will also ensure that your team supports content producers in other teams by ensuring products adhere to brand guidelines and by providing copywriting and editorial support, audio-visual materials and graphic design services. 

You will operate collaboratively across multiple departments and teams within MSF UK, including Fundraising, HAARP (advocacy) and the Manson Unit to ensure quality and strategic alignment of cross-departmental communications initiatives. You will also serve as a focal point for discussions on content management across the international MSF movement, of which MSF UK is a member.

• Demonstrable experience of devising and delivering communications strategies to advance the aims of an organization 
• Extensive knowledge of the principles of brand management and brand practice

Leading People’s Economy’s approach to training

• With support from the Programme Director, lead the development of People’s Economy’s approach to training and workshops to create an approach and set of standards to be applied across the organisation.
• Stay abreast of developments in training best practice across similar organisations and use this knowledge to further develop People’s Economy’s training approach.
• Develop resources (e.g. types of training exercises) that can be used across People’s Economy’s training work
• Support colleagues and freelancers to implement People’s Economy’s training approach, including through delivering ‘train the trainer’ training and creating learning resources
• Work with the Programme Director to create processes to oversee the quality and delivery of all of People’s Economy’s training
• Lead on monitoring and evaluation of, and learning from, People’s Economy’s training work ensuring that it informs the subsequent development of training
