Job Description
As the People Partner for Catch22 you will provide a proactive and forward-thinking HR service to the business and operate as an internal consultant, influencing, identifying, and maximising opportunities to improve people capability and performance.
You will be responsible for supporting your business areas by providing specialist coaching, support and advice that enables our business development and senior management to effectively deliver their people and business plans.
You will be responsible for giving specialist HR advice in relation to all HR policies and procedures in accordance with best practice, current and proposed employment legislation and local arrangements and support delivery of the HR Strategy and evolving partnering model.
You will develop and maintain excellent working relationships across the People Team, the operational Hubs that you support as well as the rest of the business by offering challenging and influencing at senior manager level fostering a high performance culture.
You will support the business in key areas of employee relations, development, reward, engagement, and resourcing providing key business support to services nationally.
You will provide business support to nominated business areas and provide cover to other business areas as and when needed.

Qualifications
English and Maths.
Level 7 CIPD or proven experience.
Comprehensive and up to date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice, and the practical implications for the management of the employment relationship.
Excellent and up to date knowledge of TUPE regulations, processes, risks and opportunities.
Awareness of current developments in the HR field.
Understanding of organisational development processes and interventions.
Awareness of Health & Safety practice as it relates to HR.

The IOP is overseen by an elected Council of 18 trustees. The IOP’s governance structures have recently been reviewed to ensure that they are fit for purpose for a modern, progressive organisation that encourages strong member engagement.
Following the launch of a new strategy and extensive restructure we are looking for an inspirational Director of People and Operations to lead this work for the IOP.

Overall Duties of the People Development Business Partner will include:
- Supporting the creation of annual and on-going evidence based learning and development opportunities for foster carers across TACT.
- Quality assure training and learning opportunities to ensure they are reflective of current practices
- Work in partnership with local area teams to understand and respond to trends within their areas, and translate this into TACT-wide strategies
- Support local area teams to source and procure learning interventions, acting as a key partner in supplier relationship management
- Create long-term plans to support the recognition of foster carers as specialists in their fields
- Support the creation, development and implementation of the TACT Growth and Development Strategy for foster carers
- Take a continuous improvement approach to the offering of the People Development function
- Actively support the People Development function, aiming to ensure an effective continuity of services
The main requirements for this role include:
- CIPD Level 5 or above or equivalent, or a minimum of the CIPD Level 3 qualification and a commitment to achieve a CIPD Level 5 qualification within 18 months of starting in post.
- Experience of working collaboratively to develop learning solutions to build capacity and support organisational objectives across complex multi-jurisdiction audiences and teams.
- Experience of carrying out training needs analysis, interpreting the results and implementing solutions across multiple teams.
- Experience of designing, developing, delivering and evaluating learning programmes and interventions across a range of delivery methods, including virtual.
- Knowledge of key principles of adult learning, including learning cycles and multi-level evaluation processes.
- Able to use interactive and online tools to create engaging learning resources.
- High level of credibility with good relationship building at all levels and able to adapt style as appropriate.

We are seeking an outstanding HR Manager/Consultant on a fixed-term contract basis to review and update our organisational policies, employee handbook and HR templates. This can be offered as a fixed-term employment contract or consultancy (day-rate) basis depending on candidate preference. Responsibilities and key deliverables
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the primary objective of the role is to:
- Review and update Hand in Hand International’s Employee Handbook, working with the Director of Finance
- Review all organisational policies and recommend relevant updates, ranking these in order of priority
- Implement updates to organisational policies in order of priority
- Review performance management templates and update for the new financial year starting 01 April 2025 where needed, including building out the employee career development plan
- Review employment contracts and code of conduct, suggest any necessary amendments
- Provide HR guidance to employees and line managers in the event of any queries (ad hoc)
- Provide strategic HR advice to help shape the future HR function of the organisation
Skills and knowledge
- Experience supporting small organisations (<50 employees) with establishing high quality policies and procedures

About the Organisation
This is a brand new locally run youth charity, and will be the first Youth Zone in Yorkshire. Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Management
– To share responsibility for leading the strategic direction and success of YMCA East Surrey as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) together with the Head of Finance, Head of Housing, Head of Children and Young People Services and Deputy CEO.
– To be the accountable and strategic lead for Central Services, working closely with other members of the SLT to deliver integrated support across areas such as HR, property management, IT systems, and compliance.
– Take ownership of all aspects of operations policy and practice, and lead our approach to information management, data protection and risk management
– To be responsible for line management and development of senior staff within Central Services including the HR Manager, Facilities Manager, Facilities Manager at The Old Pheasantry, Systems Analyst, Reception Manager and Volunteer Coordinator.,
– To take on various project management tasks and to drive through transformation of systems and ways of working to improve the quality of services and help the YMCA achieve its charitable aims.
– To play a supportive and collaborative role working alongside the wider YMCA staff team to meet our mission of helping people in East Surrey to ‘belong contribute and thrive’
Governance and Compliance
– Fulfilling the role of Company Secretary and leading the delivery of all governance processes in line with policy, procedures and the memorandum and articles, including all charity and corporate law requirements.
– To take the lead role on compliance, maintaining and developing a policy framework and working with Heads of Service to ensure that appropriate policies are drafted, reviewed and implemented and that the YMCA meets all its obligations under the relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks in which we work (Ofsted, RSH and possibly CQC in the future).
– To provide or facilitate training and development activity to ensure that managers and staff are aware of, and are meeting, requirements laid down by relevant policies, legislation and regulatory bodies.
– To take on the role of Data Protection Officer and ensure that the YMCA complies with its statutory responsibilities under Data Protection Regulations
– To be responsible for leading on quality management and maintaining our accreditation under Trusted Charity.
– To work with Heads of Service, managers and trustees to ensure that effective risk management practice is embedded into decision making at all levels of the organisation.
– To attend trustee meetings and to produce reports and help prepare agendas for the Governance and Risk Committee, a subcommittee of the main board.
IT
– To be responsible for all IT hardware and software needs, to manage support contracts and develop new IT systems and use of technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Association (including mobile phones, laptops and other devices).
– To work with other Heads of Service to develop and maintain new integrated IT systems that can manage data, and record, monitor and evaluate outputs and outcomes delivered by the YMCA’s diverse projects and services.
– To work with the Systems Analyst and outsourced IT Support Company deliver ongoing digital transformation and promote the necessary training and policies to ensure that staff fully utilise the new technology.
– To work with the Fundraising Manager and CEO to support the delivery of new projects especially the acquisition and development of new properties such as additional Move On accommodation for young people.
HR
– In conjunction with the HR Manager ensure the overall HR strategy of YMCA East Surrey is in line with the law, good practice and our values.
– With the HR Manager, oversee the development of internal practices, policies and working culture in line with the overall HR strategy.
Facilities
– To line manage the Facilities Manager and to oversee the introduction and implementation of cyclical maintenance plans for all YMCA buildings.
– To have oversight of the Facilities Manager’s responsibility of all insurances required by the YMCAES.
– Oversight of the management and financial viability of The Old Pheasantry.
Budget and Finance
– To work with the CEO and Head of Finance to prepare the annual budget for central services (including buildings) and to manage this budget throughout the year.

– Any other duties are required to be performed within the grade and renumeration of the role.

We are looking to recruit an experienced individual with a strong background in operations and office management, financial management, human resources, and some experience of communications to play a central role within our small but dynamic team. The Operations Manager role combines governance, human resources, financial management and operational delivery, with some involvement in communications. Working closely with the Executive Director and external bookkeepers, you will be critical in ensuring that all legal, regulatory and statutory requirements of the charity are met, in addition to delivering accurate financial management, and carrying out key HR functions. You will lead on general office management, including IT systems, events and logistics, and be responsible for some communications functions, including managing ILP’s website and social media.
This is a broad and varied role of critical importance to the smooth and effective running of the charity.
