As a People Business Partner you will lead the customer facing side of HR as an ambassador for the People team. Your core purpose will be to work with senior leaders within your dedicated business area to:
- Provide strategic and commercial HR support
- To lead and embed the people strategy by devising and implementing a people plan for delivery within your business area.
- To support from a people perspective with the successful delivery of strategy and the delivery of local and corporate business plans within your area.
- To drive and deliver improvements against the key people KPI’s in the business area you support.
The role is a key role within the people team who will be proactive in supporting the People Director and will work collaboratively across all areas of the people team to ensure that the people function provides a simply brilliant service to its customers.
The role is also responsible for the effective management of an ER / HR advisor and the collective responsibility with other People partners for the wider ER team development, co ordination and management .
- Working closely with your business area to deliver an effective People partnering service and to understand the people drivers that will contribute to successful business delivery.
- Understanding the wider business priorities and how these relate to the people strategy activity
- Devising a strategic people plan for your functional areas that supports the delivery of the wider people strategy and GSA corporate strategy and the business areas needs.
Minimum of CIPD level 5 qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience.

- Demonstrable knowledge and experience gained in a People partner role
- Experience of creating people plans aligned to an overarching corporate people plan that supports business area specific needs
- Demonstratable working knowledge of people policies, processes, legislative requirements and best practice
JOB PURPOSE
The post holder will support all aspects of business development to achieve the Association’s objectives, including securing funding from a range of sources; keeping abreast of income sources and funding opportunities; assisting and supporting the development of bids, tenders, and making applications to grant makers, trusts and others with funds to invest.
Some Key Tasks & Responsibilities:-
· Preparing quality funding bids and tender submissions (including to Trusts; Foundations’ Lottery; Local Authorities, Health Service, etc.) to meet the Association’s objectives.
· Keep abreast of funding and tendering opportunities from public, government, trusts and private sectors ensuring WLCA managers and consortium partners are kept informed, where appropriate.
· Maximising opportunities by preparing and submitting expressions of interest /pre-qualification through to the tender stage, objectively reviewing bid submissions and making appropriate changes/improvements.
· Ensuring bids and tender submissions are developed with community engagement and input, ideally coproduced with community members and potential beneficiaries.
· Supporting the development of project concepts by researching and developing relationships with prospective funders.
· Liaising with and supporting consortium funding opportunities, applications, and project development in line with the tendering and funding bid requirements.
· Developing and maintaining a database of funders and creating good practice fundraising guides and model applications.
· Developing links with the private sector to provide sponsorships and funding through Social Value and Corporate Social Responsibility.

- Work with the programme co-ordinator and additional administrative support to deliver the SLDP discernment process from initiation to completion at the moderation panel and the subsequent communication of outcomes and feedback. This will include serving on the panels, working with all key stakeholders associated with the discernment process and ensuring accurate information is provided and recorded across the entire process.
- Drive the approach and continual evolution for the SLDP programme ensuring the design, development and implementation of a high- quality L&D curriculum for the learning community.

- Ensure high quality input through the identification, commissioning, briefing, supervision and review of internal and external experts as faculty and facilitators in the modules, or in the provision of mentoring, or learning experiences.
- Engagement and supervision of external coaches to provide role coaching at agreed points across the programme.
- Collate trends and data from the evaluations and participants to inform future design, and to demonstrate the impact of the programme.
- Present at governance meetings and any other relevant project boards, to consult with and influence senior leaders across the Church.
- Manage administrative support which is provided by a Project Co-Ordinator.
- Contribute to the development and facilitation of bespoke learning interventions for various groups as needs emerge e.g. action-learning groups, development for BAME clergy and Church Traditions, or the design of cross learning community events.
- Help to build and maintain a high-quality pool of external coaches and teaching faculty.
- Coach senior leaders from any of the leadership programmes as the opportunities arise.
- Contribute to writing reports for key bodies when required, including the House of Bishops, the College of Bishops and General Synod if required.
- Deputise for the Head of Senior Leadership Development in internal and external meetings if required
- Contribute to the 'knowledge capital' on leadership in the Church and to the organisational learning that arises from the programmes.
- Any other duties as required and commensurate with the post.
- Integration of the riches of the Christian tradition with the best of wider leadership development thinking and practice.
- Ongoing development of the new 'Learning Practicum' virtual learning system.
- Developing partnerships with theologians, TEIs, business schools and other leadership development providers and coaches.

PROJECT MANAGER
THE ABBEY OF ST EDMUND: A MILLENNIUM OF ENGLISH HISTORY IN WEST SUFFOLK
Thanks to National Lottery players, St Edmundsbury Cathedral, in partnership with West Suffolk Council and English Heritage, has received a Development Phase grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to conserve the Abbey of St Edmund ruins, deliver universal access through a network of footpaths, and build a heritage welcome centre within a line of listed buildings facing the town’s public space.
We are now looking for a Project Manager to co-ordinate and assist in the management of the development phase, which will last until February 2026. If we are successful in our delivery phase application, the role will continue for a further three years. We’re looking for someone with:
- Similar project management experience, at a comparable level of cost and complexity, especially working on Heritage Fund projects.
- Experience of working on projects with complex structures (we have three project partners: St Edmundsbury Cathedral, English Heritage and West Suffolk Council).
- A good understanding of audiences for heritage to enable activity planning and audience development to take place alongside the capital and design works.
Flexible working, but must be on site at least 2 days a week.

The successful candidate will have:
- Part-qualified with a CCAB qualification or evidence of equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Experience of working in a management accounting, finance business partnering or related financial role.
- Ideally experience working in the public sector, but this is by no means essential.
- Proven experience of working collaboratively, including working with internal and external people in positions of influence to develop and implement customer-focused business solutions.
- Ability to analyse, summarise and communicate financial data and information clearly and accurately to non-financial budget managers.
- Ability to provide constructive challenge to budget managers.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work collaboratively in a multi-agency setting as required. This includes maintaining professional relationships and appropriate confidentiality of information.
- Manage data systems and develop effective methods of data processing.
- Understand the main Microsoft Office programmes and an ability to use case management systems to record project activity.
- Ability to scrutinise data in order to produce detailed project reports.
- Actively contribute towards meeting team performance targets in respect of the service
- Maintain up to date records via relevant and appropriate systems within specified timeframes and produce reports as required.
- Positively promote and represent Nacro at all times, building strong relationships with colleagues to work as part of an integrated team focused on meeting the needs of services users/learners.
- Adhere to Nacro’s Safeguarding and data policies and procedures at all times and comply with legislation and statutory duties and data controls protocols.
- Act in line with, promote and carry out all responsibilities with full regard to Nacro’s Equality and Diversity Policy.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience with General Administration and will need to be:

Job Summary
We expect this role to focus on developing and maintaining relationships with key funders, stakeholders, institutions and individuals. It will undertake work to secure funding, resources and partnerships for both Shared Assets and the wider land justice movement, and to raise the profile and reputation of Shared Assets.
The role will have responsibility for securing core funding for Shared Assets from trusts, foundations and high net worth individuals, and for supporting colleagues to secure grant and commercial funding for consultancy, research, movement building and communications projects. It will have responsibility for reporting on core grants and providing quality control for colleagues for their bids, tenders and funder reports. As part of this work the role will play a key part in providing intelligence and foresight to contribute to the organisation’s strategy and business planning.
Beyond securing consistent core funding for Shared Assets the role will also work with funders and others to secure longer term resourcing of the wider land movement in order to deliver our collective ambitions for a just and sustainable land system.
As part of a self managing organisation all team members are expected to contribute to the day to day management of the organisation through participation in management circles, team days and working groups.
Main Responsibilities
Fundraising and resourcing

Develop and maintain relationships with funders to fund work that seeks to support common good land use and to create a more just and sustainable land system.

Work with the team to ensure we maintain a healthy pipeline of bids and tenders in order to meet income generation targets across the organisation.

Work with the wider land justice movement and funders to secure significant, consistent and long term resourcing for the wider land movement, working in ways that are open and transparent to, and inclusive of, the wider movement and which will help to deliver systemic change that meets our collective objectives for a more just and sustainable land system.
Stakeholder relationships

Develop and maintain relationships with key partner organisations in order to build an understanding of the wider context and system in which we are working in order to inform our strategic development and to identify opportunities for future partnership working. To understand where Shared Assets is valued and effective, and where it may need to adapt and change.
General

Participate in the Funding & Finance circle, participate in relevant work groups and liaise with other circles where appropriate.

Contribute to communications and raise the profile of the organisation - in particular working closely with the Communications Coordinator on external messaging with respect to Shared Assets and the wider land movement.

Provide reports and information for the board as required.

Provide support to colleagues where needed, including in the running of events, training and other activities.

Participate in and contribute to the development of Shared Assets as an organisation, including involvement in collective decision making, being accountable to policies, and helping improve those policies where relevant.

We are looking for a highly capable Finance Officer to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day transactional financial processes of the charity. In particular, a large part of the role will involve the monitoring of various income streams through the activity of the Fundraising team. The candidate will need to be methodical, highly organised with excellent attention to detail, showing initiative and self-motivation in carrying out routine tasks, often to deadlines.
As part of a small team, the post holder will be responsible for managing all supporter and donation information on the fundraising database, regularly importing payment data from a range of sources and leading the monthly reconciliation process. The post holder will also provide data selections and reports and any administrative fundraising tasks when required.

St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity exists so that everyone has a safe place to call home, providing emergency financial help that can transform a person’s circumstances within days. The Charity also funds a range of projects across the UK, providing innovative services within healthcare, legal advice and mental health support to facilitate a long-term transition out of homelessness. The Charity is at a pivotal stage in their development, building on the hugely successful BBC Radio 4 Appeal that will enter its 100th Anniversary in 2026, diversifying income streams to create year-round opportunities to donate. The BBC Radio Christmas appeal generates over £2M income for the Charity, providing a unique and long-standing opportunity to engage a diverse audience to the wonderful programmes that the Charity funds across the country. Key duties for this role include:

Develop, deliver and evaluate inspiring, innovative and cost-effective Christmas Individual Giving activity, driving engagement and optimising long term value from cold and warm audiences.

Ensure effective management of the annual BBC Radio 4 broadcast appeal, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure opportunities to leverage engagement and net income are maximized across all relevant channels. These include broadcast, telephone, social media, paid search, SMS, email, inserts and mail.

Deliver the Christmas activity as part of an integrated approach, working collaboratively with the BBC, creative and media agencies and colleagues across St Martin’s Charity including the Fundraising, Communications and Programmes teams.

Work with the Leadership Giving Team to ensure high value giving opportunities arising out of the Christmas Appeal activity and Radio 4 Appeal Anniversary year are optimised.

Work collaboratively to optimise contactability across Christmas campaign activity, developing a seamless supporter journey that encourages regular giving and increases lifetime value.
We’re looking for the following skills & experience:

Demonstrable experience of project management across a range of direct marketing channels including print & digital.

A strong track record of campaign planning, including ideation, proposition development, campaign execution and channel optimisation.

Experience of sourcing compelling content for utilisation across both online and offline channels.

Experience of working with creative, print, digital and media agencies, collaborating with them to get the best results.

Experience of using social media to target, communicate with and engage

Planning and budgeting experience in an individual giving context.

Experience of managing broadcast appeals, especially radio appeals is highly desirable.
