Working pattern to be discussed at interview, however weekend and early morning work will be expected as we run our catering service 365 days a year.
Our client is currently looking for a Chef to support the Catering Manager to provide a first-class customer experience by delivering a high-quality food service, that is nutritional and value for money for their residents, visitors and guests across their Independent Living service.
The successful candidate must be a strong leader who is able to take over all aspects of a kitchen. An extremely high level of cleanliness must be observed and an ability to run a disciplined team is essential.
What you will be doing:

Supporting in the monitoring of budgets related to the running and management of the kitchen / restaurant.

Ensuring that there are sufficient supplies of good quality utensils, cutlery and crockery.

Manage the kitchen and staff to ensure a consistent service is provided to their residents.

Support the Catering Manager to develop a catering service that meets the needs and expectations of their residents.

Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in accordance with H&S regulations, policies and procedures.

Experience of managing and kitchen and its team.

Experience of producing a variety of menus on a 4-weekly rotation.

Experience of managing a tight budget.

Commercial kitchen experience.

Experience of working with fresh and scratch cooking.

A passion for producing high quality food and food service.
