Job Description:
We are hiring for two sessional Youth Worker to join our B.game youth team providing our B.game board/digital games session for young people at BYC. The role

The Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration for its own estate. For this reason CCT has been contracted to deliver a programme of work for Historic Chapels Trust (HCT). HCT owns and cares for 20 of the most significant Nonconformist and Catholic chapels no longer in regular use by their congregations, all listed at Grade I and Grade II*. As a member of CCT’s national Conservation team you will be the main point of contact for all chapel maintenance related issues, liaising closely with contractors, local groups and volunteers. What will I be doing?

You do not need to have managed CRM teams before or be a CRM expert - our key priority is finding someone with the management skills to lead CRM specialists.
Some understanding of Salesforce (e.g., Sales Cloud and Service Cloud).
Previously managed and transformed the development and operation of enterprise-grade platforms.
Proven ability to influence, challenge, and engage internal and external stakeholders from a leadership and strategic perspective.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities
The Senior Programme Development Specialist will work on complex and major bids, often on multimillion consortia, commercial contracts and multi-country partnerships, and will be expected to take a high degree of responsibility for developing successful bids including negotiations with internal and external partners.

Job Summary:
The Community, Children and Youth Operational Support role is an exciting opportunity that aims to support the projects in the life of St Peter’s which may particularly serve those from estate and low income communities in the parish of St Peter de Beauvoir Town. This role has been enabled by a grant from the Hackney & Islington Programme and supports the Diocese of London 2030 vision. This role is line managed by St Peter’s Community Organiser.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a gifted administrator
- Have experience of organising events and project-management
- Have experience of working with children and young people, especially in Church or Church Primary school contexts
- Have a passion for connecting Church activities with those who may have previously been marginalised from the life of the Church, especially amongst low income and estate communities
Main Duties
- to provide operational support to St Peter’s Community Organiser and other staff members
- to convene and provide support to volunteers to lead Crafty Church sessions each Sunday morning during school terms, and to lead Crafty Church sessions on a regular basis as necessary depending on the availability of volunteers
- to undertake report writing and provide financial administration as necessary for the Hackney and Islington Programme within St Peter de Beauvoir Town
- to provide operational support as appropriate to Warm Welcome, Parish Nursing, and other community and children-focussed activities
- to undergo community organising training (if not done so already) in order to be able to assist in the training of local leaders and congregation members in community organising
- to support convening small groups and local actions to discern and meet identified need to enable action to be taken together to deliver social and community change
- to support the creation of spaces and opportunities to meet spiritual needs of residents of estates and low income communities in addition to signposting to existing services and activities currently taking place at St. Peter’s.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience of working with children and young people
- Experience of safeguarding best practice and experience of implementing safeguarding policies
- Experience of working with and developing the leadership potential of volunteers
- Experience of recruiting with new, and working with existing, volunteers
- Experience of setting up a new or consolidating an existing project
- A working knowledge and good understanding of St Peter de Beauvoir and its communities (or a similar community and clear desire to do so locally)
- Ability to organise yourself and others and to work responsibly in an unstructured environment
- Ability to plan and organise to deadlines
- Ability to work with and relate to all types of people
Desirable:
- Experience of or willingness to explore Community Organising methodology
- Experience of leading worship and other activities amongst children and young people
- Experience of report writing for funders or funding bodies
- Experience of budget reporting and management

SWEDA is growing fast. Since the pandemic, the number of children, young people and adults who need our support has grown exponentially. An estimated 1.25m people in the UK have an eating disorder, and an NHS mental health questionnaire in 2023 found that 59.4% of 17-19 year olds ‘screened positive’ for having eating problems.
We have responded by expanding geographically (into Bristol and South Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire), developing our children and young people’s services and investing in the development of a fundraising team. Our Head of Fundraising has been in post for just over a year and our Fundraising & Communications Officer joined in January 2024. Now we need a Fundraising Manager to help us develop and grow our community fundraising to diversify our income and secure SWEDA’s future. We are a small and friendly team and will make you feel very welcome.
Your role will be to help us devise and deliver community and individual fundraising campaigns, secure and cultivate corporate partnerships and forge relationships with schools and other community partners. You will also recruit and manage a team of volunteers to fundraise and raise awareness. You will be someone who loves meeting people and is ambitious and driven to achieve results. You will have lots of enthusiasm, energy and ideas. You will be comfortable trying new things and in being adaptable; we want to scale our public fundraising activity and are applying a ‘test and learn’ approach. The primary objective will be to raise funds to support our life transforming work, but also to raise awareness and understanding of eating disorders, and help establish SWEDA as the eating disorder specialist across the South & West.
We are looking for a candidate who has the necessary skills and experience to fulfil the following role:
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, lead and deliver on income generation plans for individuals (including regular giving and appeals), community and corporate fundraising to grow SWEDA’s income year on year.
- Forge and cultivate relationships with supporters – individuals and businesses – in person, on the phone and through SWEDA’s communications channels.
- Maintain a clear focus on acquisition across community, corporate and individuals, with dedicated time for proactive prospect research.
- Monitor, evaluate and report against agreed performance indicators
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Fundraising and other team members to maximise income generation opportunities
- Develop a network of volunteers to support cost effective and successful public fundraising activity.
- Drive innovation to improve fundraising practice, increase ROI and test new approaches to raise money.
- Use data insight to drive decision making and improve performance.
- Plan and implement an effective stewardship plan which prioritises personalised long term relationships.
- Effectively use the CRM to record and manage your work, capture donor information/consents and support strategic planning.

About the role
The newly-created role of Digital Content & Campaigns Manager will sit within the National Communications Team to support the delivery of key charity and federation-wide objectives.
As part of our mission to empower people affected by homelessness and poverty, the role will work to harness the potential of multimedia content to demonstrate the breadth of our activities and impact, but also raise the voices of people who have experienced homelessness
The role will be instrumental in the implementation of an evolved Emmaus brand language and visuals across websites, social media and other digital channels, and will work to embed measurement and monitoring processes to grow our reach.
Working with the National Communications Manager, the role will be central to the delivery of communications, fundraising and influence objectives with a strategic focus, while being hands-on in delivering standout content.
