About us
Who we are
We are a movement of students sharing and living out the good news of Jesus Christ. Locally. Nationally. Globally. IFES ministry is supported behind the scenes by International Services based in Malaysia, the UK and the USA.
IFES has grown as student groups began connecting across borders and oceans, partnering and praying together towards a shared vision. Today, we are made up of students and staff in more than 180 countries.
We’re pioneering student witness on new campuses, inspiring each other in campus evangelism, engaging with the big issues in our universities and seeing graduates going on to impact society for the glory of Christ.
Whether you are a student doing a Bible study on your campus, a graduate seeing your faith impact your workplace or a supporter praying and giving faithfully to the work, you are a vital part of IFES.
We are in this mission together.
Our culture and values
OUR CORE VALUES
As we work together across the IFES fellowship towards our vision, we seek to live out these core
values in every aspect of our ministry.
- Faithfulness to Scripture: The Bible is the ultimate authority and inspiration for life and all
aspects of our ministry. We emphasise the loving, studying, living and sharing of God’s Word.
- Prayer: We pursue and maintain a posture of humility and dependence on God through
prayer in our ministry.
- Community: We seek to cultivate vibrant local, regional and global communities that
encourage fellowship and learning and enhance our mission.
- Student Initiative: We are a ministry of students reaching students and we believe in students
taking the initiative in all aspects of witness to the university.
- Unity in Diversity: We value the diversity of God’s creation and the body of Christ. We draw
participants from diverse ethnicities, cultures, languages, and church traditions as a worldwide
fellowship.
- Partnership: We believe we are more effective in our work when it is done together. We
accomplish our mission in partnership with one another, with the local church and like-minded
organisations around the world.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We value the diversity of God’s creation and the body of Christ. We draw participants from diverse ethnicities, cultures, languages, and church traditions as a worldwide fellowship.
