The Place exists to develop, nurture and celebrate dance ideas and experiences for all. People will flock to watch and enjoy dance in our theatre, on tour or online, study dance with some 250 of the most diverse and extraordinary dance artists at London Contemporary Dance School, or with other young people in our Centre for Advanced Training.
Our Development Team deliver transformational change in fundraising activities in order to support The Place to achieve it’s unprecedented vision for a 'world with more dance'. As we evolve our business model we have taken time to understand where the opportunities are in terms of sustainable future fundraising for The Place and, in particular, this role reflects our ambition to continue to grow individual giving. The Development Manager position is a key part of the team. Working with the Director of Development to meet the annual fundraising targets.
This is an open-ended permanent contract. This is a full-time position (equivalent to 40 hours per week). These hours are inclusive of a one-hour paid lunch break each day. Your hours of work will be agreed with the line manager.
Some of this post holder's key responsibilities will be to:
- Identify a pipeline of prospects to support the organisations artistic and education activities.
- Lead the development and delivery of creative and compelling cases for support from individuals as well as tailored cultivation plans.
- Design and deliver a schedule of innovative donor cultivation and stewarding events.
- Undertake appropriate research and networking to identify opportunities to fund activities across the organisation.

NextGen Fund

About the role
The London Library is planning a major, multi-year building project and is looking for a Senior Facilities Officer - Project Management to work within the Buildings and Facilities Management team to help support and deliver the project.
As part of a small, hands-on team, this new role will also support the Library’s maintenance and improvement programmes, arranging contractor works and providing liaison with colleagues across the Library. The Communications Manager will use their considerable communications (and particularly digital communications) and marketing experience to tell QEST’s story; communicate the impact of QEST, facilitate the advancement of QEST’s UK-wide activities; and strengthen communications among the QEST network of alumni, the wider craft industry and existing and potential supporters and donors.
The role will include (but not limited to):
- Promoting and enhancing QEST’s reputation and positive profile within the craft sector, building on external relationships that relate to QEST’s activities and priorities, ensuring that all activities are delivered to the highest possible standards as befitting a charity with Royal Patronage
- Understanding and active interest in the craft/art/education sector, developing and building professional relationships with key contacts and networks
- Creating and delivering dynamic content for QEST’s digital channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and e-newsletters in order to promote:
· the QEST alumni
· the events and wider activities of QEST (with the Project Manager)
· the Crafting Tomorrow programmes (with the Education and Partnerships Manager)
· the outreach activity to encourage diverse applications from across the UK (with the Application and Grants Manager)
- Managing, and working collaboratively with colleagues, to gather and create compelling and impactful content and stories for the QEST website and the Annual Review (published annually)
- Developing and coordinating regional and national PR opportunities to raise awareness of QEST externally

Scope:
To grow the charity’s fundraising ambitions and meet annual and long-term fundraising targets
To make new connections, new alliances and spread the ambitions of the charity, in order to meet the annual fundraising targets which provide unrestricted funding for the core activities of the Foundation.
Duties:
Lead on the growing relationship portfolio of Funders and Benefactors
Act as the first point of contact for the organisations Funders and Benefactors
Contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the charity Structure/Governance in line with Trustee Meetings.
Contribute to the annual planning and reporting process, providing regular updates of progress against objectives
Lead, attend and assist with events and meetings with support as appropriate
Act as an Ambassador for the organisation.
Help develop mid-long term Funding Strategy that provides economic sustainability for the Charity for the next 5 years
Build strong relationships with a portfolio of new prospects and pipelines.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring technical expertise to the Paper and Photograph Conservation team!
There are two vacant full-time roles in the Paper and Photograph Conservation studios at Tate Britain. One is permanent with a focus on large-scale touring exhibitions, with start date in October 2024. The other is a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027 and focuses on modern and contemporary art.
The Senior Conservation Technician provides technical expertise on the mounting, framing, storage and packing of art on paper, photographs, library, and archive material. Day to day you will undertake a variety of traditional and modern mounting, framing, and housing techniques, devise display, installation and packing methods, and advise and train paper conservation technicians. You’ll work closely with a paper conservator and the wider team to review and document your work to ensure the highest standards in the care of Tate’s paper-based collections. You’ll enjoy this role if you like creative problem solving, developing and adapting your technical skills, working to deadlines and knowledge sharing.
