About You
Our ideal candidate has experience supporting people who may be vulnerable, in distress or in crisis, with practical long-term solutions in areas such as welfare, budgeting, housing, debt and mental wellbeing, ideally gained within the charity sector.

Support Services Manager
As the Foodbanks Support Services Manager you will be delivering the foodbanks advice services, managing the relationships with partner organisations referring to the Foodbank and managing and developing the the Foodbank’s school & family support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the orientation of new organisations who will be referring to the Foodbank and the delivery of high-quality training on the referral process to all partners as needed.
- Through regular engagement with those organisations, you will forge strong relationships to ensure they provide an advice-first approach, maximising the level of help local people get before being referred to the Foodbank.
- You will develop, monitor and co-manage a team of volunteer signposters who provide support to the Foodbank’s clients
- You will manage the Foodbank’s Family Engagement Lead, working in and with local schools
- Working closely with the Cirencester Foodbank’s Citizens Advice team and their Citizens Advice manager, you will ensure Foodbank clients are prioritised in obtaining further advice, monitoring the advisors’ caseloads and ensuring regular reporting
- Ensure that Foodbank clients are consulted and feedback gathered to make our services efficient, helpful, relevant, and respectful. Additionally, collect stories from clients to help illustrate the charities impact, issues that lead people into food poverty and enable further advocacy.

Key Skills and Personal Attributes:
- With excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective partner organisations to share the Foodbanks vision to end the need for Foodbanks.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:
As a Graphic Designer, you will be part of our busy and friendly Studio team delivering content that presents an authentic narrative of older people’s lives. Working closely with the Senior Graphic Designer, you will play an essential role in producing our design work for print and digital channels.
Reporting to the Studio Manager, the post-holder will collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders and be responsible for delivering creative solutions that uphold our brand guidelines.
You should have experience working in either an in-house studio or a design agency and be skilled at producing and delivering designs for different media, including print, digital and social. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to take instruction and deliver with a can-do attitude. In addition, you will be very proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programmes and Microsoft Office.

About the role:
This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff.
As a Helpline Adviser you will be: -
- Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing support, information and referral on to Victim Support services and other agencies
- Providing immediate support, advice and trauma first aid referrals to victims of and those affected by major incidents and terrorism.
- Seamlessly working across multiple services with different processes, procedures and recording mechanisms.

This role is based in St Asaph North Wales
As a Victim Help Officer you will be:
You will be working in liaison with North Wales Police and other relevant agencies, and involves shift working on a rota basis between 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 5pm on a Saturday. Ensuring the provision of individual assessment of impact and risk, within the framework of VS's Service Model.

This role is a hybrid post and your location will be Dyfed Powys Police Headquarters in Carmarthen.

The Organisation
Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations. As we believe in the social model of Disability, our values and principles embrace inclusive and accessible ways of working both internally and in all our activities, seek the participation and contribution of our members, and encourage and respect diversity.
The organisation is a medium sized charity with a Board of Trustees (at least 75% is Disabled trustees), 20 staff and a strong ad hoc staff and volunteer base including many with direct experience of Disability - all of whom are passionate about removing the barriers that Disabled people face.
AoD provides five key services. These are: Youth, Employment, Welfare Benefits, Independent Living and Advocacy
AoD’s Independent Living Service
The Independent Living Service (Direct Payments) is a new service that will provide support to Direct Payment users within the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The service will enable Disabled people to have genuine choice and control over the way in which they lead their lives. The post-holder will be working alongside disabled people to enable them to have more choice and control over their care and support needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant, user-led charity that is dedicated to enabling Disabled people who use social care support to have full choice and control over the way in which they live their lives.
About the Role
In this role you will be providing essential information, advice and support to individuals from diverse backgrounds. You will work with Disabled clients to empower them to take control of the support they need by using Direct Payments, employing their own staff and accessing activities or services. You will ensure that individuals have the right information to make informed choices and will help them to set up and manage their chosen support.
You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Experience of budgeting and recruitment are essential for this role.
Experience of working in social care is not essential as training will be provided, however a “can-do” attitude, a commitment to a person-centred approach and a willingness to learn is a must. Being part of a small team, there is a lot of opportunity for you to develop and learn new skills.
The work is varied and calls upon a wide range of skills, and there is huge job satisfaction in supporting people to achieve greater wellbeing and independence.

As an IDVA, you will be able to effectively work with men experiencing domestic abuse, and supporting them to increase their safety and reduce harm. You will be providing high-quality, front-line service to prioritise risk, primarily focusing on males aged 18+.
You will initiate, develop, maintain and monitor multi-agency links through attending meetings such as MARAC and DA (Domestic Abuse) Forums to keep safety central to all services for men suffering/have suffered domestic abuse. You will specialise and be a leading practitioner for Male victims of domestic abuse; providing advice, guidance and single point of contact for male victims. Be willing to co-facilitate workshops across the service to ensure all clients are given the relevant advice in a timely manner.
You will be confident in your DVPO, DAPO, Occupational, restraining and Non-Molestation order knowledge. Be competent in completing the following forms- DASH (Domestic abuse, Stalking and ‘honour’ based abuse), UPOA (Understanding Picture of abuse), UPOAP (Understanding Picture of a Perpetrator) and safety plans.
Focus on and prioritise high, medium and low risk cases and provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service, through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support. Work with victims of domestic abuse to assist them in accessing services to keep them and their children safe.
Understand the legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults, including the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board. Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance.
Support clients through the family and/or criminal justice system.
Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service including producing statistics, as required.

Animal Equality is an international animal protection organisation working with society, governments and companies to end cruelty to farmed animals. Animal Equality has offices in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and India.
Animal Equality releases investigative materials captured from inside factory farms and slaughterhouses, exposing the conditions that farmed animals face around the world. We publish our findings on television, in newspapers and online. We routinely secure mainstream media coverage, including on the BBC, ITV, Sky news, The Times, the Guardian, New York Times and many more.
Animal Equality also advocates for political change. Our current campaigns include a UK ban on foie gras imports, increased enforcement of existing animal protection laws, legal protections for farmed fish, and Government subsidies for transitioning towards a plant-based food system.
We focus on farmed animals because of the scale and severity of the issue. More than a billion animals are confined and killed for human consumption every year in the UK. Farmed animals also often suffer in some of the worst ways: pigs typically endure painful mutilations, many chickens die of heart attacks, fish are confined in underwater cages, and some farmed animals are victims of deliberate abuse and neglect. But the problem is solvable! By utilising effective campaigning strategies, Animal Equality is having an impact for animals around the world and building a future where all animals are respected and protected and are no longer exploited for human consumption.
About the role
An experienced advocate with a sound understanding of the UK political system and legislative process, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be responsible for leading on Animal Equality’s life-saving legal advocacy campaigns on behalf of farmed animals.
Working as part of a highly effective team, within a fast-paced environment, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will develop and implement advocacy strategies that influence public policy with a goal to advance Animal Equality UK’s mission: to end the exploitation of farmed animals.
An excellent communicator, with an ability to convey complex information in a digestible way, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be a professional with a proven track record of policy programme delivery. The role involves engaging with policymakers, building relationships with coalition partners, overseeing public affairs initiatives, and influencing Government policy to create meaningful changes for farmed animals.
General responsibilities:
- Contribute to the organisation’s policy programmes: Garner reliable intel, conduct in-depth research, and carry out robust data analysis to inform Animal Equality UK’s ongoing policy and advocacy efforts for animals. Develop authentic, ambitious, and inspiring short-term and long-term policy goals that have the greatest impact for farmed animals. Maintain and develop the organisation’s policy statements, as required.
- Shaping policy initiatives: Influence decision-makers across the devolved governments. Identify ways to shape the debate, engage thoroughly in the legislative process to affect how farmed animal issues are framed, and maximise opportunities for targeted animal advocacy campaigns.
- Conduct stakeholder mapping: Identify and ensure regular engagement with key political figures and influencers, including ministers, politicians, civil servants, advisory bodies, officials, regulators, and local authorities. Propose ways to engage Parliamentarians and identify those with the potential to become champions for our cause.
- Influence decision-makers: Foster and maintain relationships with individuals critical to achieving successful outcomes for animals. Build on established relationships with individuals and bodies in a position to create lasting change for animals and convince influential political decision-makers to prioritise farmed animals in their funding and policy agendas.
- Produce compelling briefings: Develop high-quality, evidence-based responses to new policy developments, animal agriculture industry reports, Government consultations, and more. Craft politically persuasive briefings, including formal policy submissions, briefings, blogs, and press statements. Lead on the dissemination of relevant information to key political stakeholders.
- Work closely with campaigning colleagues: Work with colleagues in the Communications, Marketing, and Campaigns Departments to support the effective execution of public awareness campaigns that raise Animal Equality UK’s public profile and inform members of the public about the plight of farmed animals. Keep abreast of relevant political developments and maintain Animal Equality’s strong external policy presence through coordinated, proactive, and reactive lobbying and campaigning efforts.
- Grow strategically aligned partnerships: Liaise with and, where appropriate, convene fellow experts and advocacy organisations to gather intelligence, share best practice, and canvas opinion to inform policy positions. Support Animal Equality’s engagement in coalitions.
- Support in the organisation of events: Assist in the organisation of key events to inform and influence policymakers. Represent Animal Equality, where appropriate, at policy and networking events.
- Monitor outcomes: Measure, track, and critically evaluate policy developments, ensuring internal alignment on key issues and opportunities associated with our current campaigns. Manage against a set budget and agreed deadlines, reporting on the performance and progress against set deliverables. Share learnings with colleagues and fellow advocates.
- Support with other ad hoc duties, as requested by your line-manager.

Salary and benefits
Salary band £32,500-£35,000, depending on experience. This is a remote working opportunity (UK-based candidates only); colleagues are expected to attend mandatory monthly meet-ups in central London.

Summary
- Advising and supporting on subject matters of public policy.
- Representing the Church of England as required on partnership bodies
- Preparing briefing papers and reports for senior staff, bishops, archbishops and member bodies
