DFN Project SEARCH offer an evidence-based supported internship model which takes place entirely in the workplace. The programmes provide continuous support to young adults with a learning disability, and autistic people who are aged between 16 – 24 with an Education Health and Care Plan, or equivalent, in their final year of education.
You will be required to identify opportunities to develop and grow DFN Project SEARCH programmes across a geographical area with the aim of supporting the organisation to ensure that as many people as need it have access to DFN Project SEARCH programmes.
In addition, you will be required to develop strategies to ensure that the operational programmes in your area are achieving at least the average outcomes expected for young people in our programmes and so you must be committed to continuous improvement.
You will be specifically required to develop strong partnerships and train and support colleagues within your area. You may also be required to support colleagues promoting DFN Project SEARCH in other areas, further European projects as required and contribute to the development of relevant UK focussed materials.
As a Programme Specialist you will be expected to:
- Demonstrate effective project planning and preparation so that each project delivers achieves the highest quality programme possible and outstanding employment outcomes for the interns.
- Establish effective working relationships with schools, colleges, local authorities, employers and the project professional staff to promote the building of excellent, high quality partnerships at each site to ensure the effective running of programmes and promote sustainability in a volatile environment.

Key responsibilities
The Individual Giving Manager will contribute towards Ex Cathedra’s ongoing sustainability and success by maximising philanthropic income:
Strategy and research
• build, maintain and continually seek to expand a pipeline of prospects capable of making gifts at a high 4-, 5- and 6-figure level, making sure that all progress is tracked, monitored and reviewed on a routine basis
• explore our existing data to identify major gift prospects, working in line with data protection law and fundraising regulations
Individual giving
• work closely with the General Manager and Individual Giving Officer to further develop and implement strategies that will increase major gifts and legacy donations to Ex Cathedra, dovetailing with the Trusts and Foundations consultant where appropriate
• arrange and conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects and donors to help build and progress meaningful relationships through regular dialogue
• use their judgement to involve the artistic director, trustees and colleagues where most beneficial/advantageous
• align prospective donors with high-value funding opportunities for the performance programme, education and participation work, or area of greatest need according to the interests of the donor
• promote and encourage giving towards the establishment of an Endowment Fund that will provide long-term financial sustainability for the organisation
• meet agreed targets for activity (i.e. number of prospect meetings and solicitations) and income generation (i.e. funds raised)
• personally manage the portfolio of higher level donors and prospective donors.
Communications
• manage the delivery of specific appeals to prospects and donors
• work with the General Manager and freelance designer to devise and produce materials in support of Ex Cathedra’s fundraising aims
• create and refresh inspiring copy for inclusion in print, on our website and other relevant materials
Other
• record and maintain progress, ensuring that income can be projected as accurately as possible, liaising with the Finance Manager as appropriate
• carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by the General Manager
About you
You will be a skilled fundraiser, able to help us identify, recruit and manage a pipeline of individual donors, capable of giving upwards of £5,000 to support Ex Cathedra’s agreed strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate will have:
Experience
• demonstrable experience in a similar role
• direct experience of securing gifts and donations at 4- and 5-figure level from individuals by initiating, building and stewarding relationships
• experience of developing engaging and attractive gift opportunities; and scoping, developing and articulating fundraising projects
• experience of working in a target-driven environment
Knowledge
• knowledge of the principles of major gift fundraising and Donor Relations (including stewardship)
• knowledge of the Arts and/or Charity funding landscape and UK philanthropic trends

2.3 Develop and manage a portfolio of high value donors and prospects to include working closely with appropriate colleagues on research, cultivation, ask and stewardship, including planning and delivery of inspiring events
2.4 Work with the CEO, Senior Management Team and Trustees to appropriately involve them in planning and managing relationships with major donors
2.5 Develop a stewardship programme, developing meaningful relationships with donors and potential donors, involving them in our work and ensure they feel valued and part of the Trust.
2.6 Manage the Patrons Circle, providing a fantastic experience for WWT Patrons, including delivering engaging events and maintaining regular communication
2.7 Ensure appeal donors receive relevant stewardship communications, including holding specific events and activities
3. Legacies
3.1 Support the development of the Trust's legacy strategy, leading to an increase in number of pledges and value pledged
3.2 Identify and recruit new legacy pledgers including but not exclusively from WWT members and supporters, ensuring a legacy pipeline
3.3 Steward known legacy pledgers to maximize and retain their loyalty to WWT and to maximize their lifetime giving, including their support for current appeals.
3.4 Ensure ongoing engagement with all legators and enquirers by upgrading and conversion through the legacy cycle: enquirer, considerer, intender, pledger
3.5 Create and run a series of events to engage potential and existing legators and legacy professionals
3.6 Liaise with departments across the Trust in relation to legacy campaigns
3.7 Work closely with the marketing team to ensure effective communication about legacy giving with members, supporters and pledgers/legators
3.8 Use the CRM’s legacy module to manage relationships with pledgers and legators
4. General Fundraising
4.1 Support the Trust's new Project Oversights Board, ensuring projects align with the strategy, are fully developed, and help secure appropriate funding
4.2 Input into funding bids
4.3 Support Trust fundraising appeals
4.5 Work closely with the marketing team to update and improve third party fundraising materials, online material and guidance to enable supporters to fundraise for us independently
4.6 Ensure that the Trust is up to date and compliant with legislation, regulators and GDPR requirements in relation to fundraising
4.7 Stay up to date with current best practice in fundraising techniques and track any upcoming trends
4.8 Work with the Membership Services Manager and Membership Development Officer to ensure data is recorded on the CRM accurately and effectively to enable required analysis, tracking, reporting, segmentation and future targeting

5.2 Work across teams to develop and implement activity plans across the 2030 strategy business plan.

Based in our head office in London, you will play a key role in our fundraising team, working alongside the CEO and Director of Fundraising and Communications to develop corporate leads from our high-profile events and supporters, grow our existing partnerships and drive corporate engagement to achieve our goals.
In the UK, there are more than 1.3 million disabled children and nearly four million children living in poverty. Variety exists to improve their lives. Over the past 75 years we have supported over one million children by funding almost 6,000 Sunshine Coaches, almost the same number of wheelchairs, and giving thousands of grants to individual children, schools, youth clubs and other organisations for specialist equipment. Variety is also involved with a number of capital projects which transform the facilities of hospitals and SEN schools. In addition, each year tens of thousands of children take part in day trips, special events and educational activities as part of our Variety Great Days Out programme and every single day we are improving more young lives. We do it with practical, tangible help. Help that makes a real and immediate difference.
We’re not content to rest on our laurels – we have recently completed a leadership transition that will provide the strategic and operational foundation for the charity to be more effective than ever. We plan to double our income in the next three years and grow our support for children and young people across the UK.

● Account management of a portfolio of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship to meet income targets and agreed KPI’s, increasing engagement to deliver maximum potential for Variety
●Management of the new business pipeline and new business approaches, developing leads and identifying prospects, engaging them with our work to grow the partnerships portfolio
●Create comprehensive partnership delivery plans including fundraising, communications, finance, impact reporting with partnership key messaging
● Write and deliver bespoke propositions, proposals and pitches for new business development meeting agreed KPI’s
In return we are looking for someone that has the following attributes and experience:
• Experience of managing multiple, large corporate partnerships
• Experience of managing a variety of different types of partnerships (e.g. employee fundraising, transactional, programme focussed partnerships, corporate foundations, etc)
• Experience of new business development and securing new partnerships
• Experience of account management set-up and partnership agreements
• Good organisational and planning skills

• An understanding of the fundraising marketplace and partnership trends

TEP exists to support schools and trusts to easily, robustly and systematically understand and improve school engagement. As a platform, TEP captures and reports on engagement across various dimensions and stakeholder groups: pupils and students, parents and carers, employees and community stakeholders. TEP helps schools to understand and act on this data. The platform's ability to track changes over time enables schools to measure the impact of their interventions, ensuring that their engagement strategies are effective and adjusted as needed. This action-oriented approach ensures that school engagement is not simply a metric or backward-looking accountability tool, it is core to school improvement.
Alongside providing detailed school and Multi-Academy Trust level insights, we are building the national evidence base around school engagement as a lead indicator. The role
In an exciting note role within TEP, we are recruiting our first Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of designing and managing marketing and communications campaigns with impact.
Working closely with TEP Directors and ImpactEd Group Directors you will develop, implement and manage the communications and marketing activity for TEP as we build awareness and uptake of The Engagement Platform across the country and internationally.
You will plan campaigns, shape messaging and lead on execution of comms and digital marketing activity. With a wealth of data and insight to draw upon, we are excited to invest in our marketing function to take the benefits of TEP to the market.
