An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual, who has a flexible attitude to lead on our translation service within the Fund.

The Fund is a truly bilingual organisation. Our principle is to treat the Welsh and English languages equally by offering a bilingual service to our customers and grant holders on a day-to-day basis.

You will work independently alongside numerous teams to ensure an effective and accurate translation service for the whole organisation.  You will ensure that all our online and off-line materials, including new web pages, publications and corporate initiatives, are translated in accordance with agreed deadlines.

You will work closely with our Welsh Language Officer to ensure that the Fund fulfils its statutory legal requirements to comply with the Welsh Language Standards under the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011.

The ability to speak and write in Welsh fluently and confidently is essential for this post.

Who we’re looking for:

As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing The Brain Tumour Charity brand, devising new, and building on strong existing awareness campaigns and leading on capacity and marketing planning for integrated campaigns across The Charity.

You’ll help bring strategic thinking to the Marketing Team and be part of an Extended Leadership Team, balancing the needs of your own department with those of the wider mission and organisation whilst also supporting and developing your team.

You’ll oversee all branding activity to help us advance our mission and will be required to work closely with the fundraising and CX teams in The Charity to help deliver a sustainable model for funding and engagement.

You’ll be an experienced marketing professional with a good understanding of defining audience segmentations and building brand awareness, ideally within the health / research charity space.

Key accountabilities:

· Work with the Director of External Affairs and Strategy to  develop and lead marketing activity for all  parts of The Charity

· Manage design, copy and campaigns functions within the charity, including capacity planning and execution

· Build strong strategic relationships both inside and outside of the organisation, to form networks that will assist with the delivery our overall mission

· Develop and grow the brand with exciting new ideas that will meet our mission and raise our profile

· Work with the Extended Leadership Team to offer strategic advice to  contribute to the wider direction of The Charity

· Stay current with legal and regulatory frameworks, including; Data Protection legislation and the Code of Fundraising Practice, to ensure that all campaigns comply with current best practice in the industry

Experience:

We are looking for a talented leader, with a background in campaign or fundraising appeal delivery, to project manage our large scale and ambitious fundraising appeal to help beat blood cancer. 

The Major Appeal Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the development of the appeal, working with colleagues across the organisation on all aspects of the planning and delivery, to ensure a strategic, joined up approach that is efficient and effective. The British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) is a membership organisation with charitable status. Job Description – Operations Manager
IcFEM Dreamland Mission is a Christian charity set up to help fund and support the work of IcFEM in
Kenya. We had been running for almost 20 years with volunteers
running a home-based UK office. Three years ago we employed staff in the UK for the first time. We
currently have income of £350k- £400k a year depending on the projects running. IcFEM Kenya is a
locally run organisation based at Kimilili in Western Kenya. IcFEM Kenya runs community projects as
well as a school and hospital. The past five years has seen our work grow significantly, including the
school and hospital which have developed into large institutions that are valued by the community
in Kimilili and fit well into the local government set up.
We are looking for an individual who is ambitious to see our ministry grow and is experienced at
blending trust in God with human endeavour.
We are seeking an Operations Manager who has experience of the charity sector and is prepared to
be flexible and adaptable to the needs of this small charity. There is the potential for flexibility within
this role and we would be willing to discuss a variation in hours worked. Some occasional evening or
weekend work will be needed, and occasional travel to Kenya is an important part of the role,
particularly to build relationships with the Kenyan team.

Job description

Governance and legal compliance
➢ Review and keep updated UK policy and procedure documentation, writing new policies
where necessary to encompass latest regulations

• Service Provision: Supporting the Project Manager with the daily operations of the services so that they meet the requirements of the service specification. Oversee the residents’ referral, interview and induction processes for all beds and ensure the Occupancy Agreements and House Rules are fully understood. Ensure the quality of accommodation that is provided, liaising with the Housing and Property Services Team to complete estate inspections and health & safety risk assessments, and to turn around voids and organise repairs in line with organisational targets and statutory obligations. With the Project Manager ensure effective income collection for all beds, working closely with the Rents Team to create a rent payment culture.
• Leadership and People Management: Directly line managing team members and supporting the Project Manager in recruiting and inducting new staff. Ensuring the team is adequately trained and empowered to work effectively and creatively with our young people to enable them to achieve their aspirations and ambitions.
• General: Be a member of the ‘on call’ rota to provide out of hours management support to projects in the wider locality. Reflect Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs), Trauma Informed approaches and restorative practices.

You will:

The key duties of these Finance Business Partners will be:

• Act as lead business contact for providing a professional finance business partnering service to designated Cost Centre Managers.

• Complete monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts for your Cost Centres providing sufficient analysis and narrative to inform business and operational decisions.
• Analyse monthly performance to budget and KPIs, evaluating variance impact and identifying trends to support, challenge and provide options in the cost-efficient management of resources. 
• Reconcile budgets, accruals, prepayments and other financial records for year-end.
• Engage with Cost Centre Managers on organisational or business-related proposals, provide helpful and meaningful financial advice to support business case submissions.
• Drive effective strategic and operational decision making for budget managers.
• Support the design, development and continuous improvement of finance processes and quality and system improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have:

• Part-qualified with a CCAB qualification or evidence of equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Experience of working in a management accounting, finance business partnering or related financial role.
• Ideally experience working in the public sector, but this is by no means essential.
• Proven experience of working collaboratively, including working with internal and external people in positions of influence to develop and implement customer-focused business solutions.
• Ability to analyse, summarise and communicate financial data and information clearly and accurately to non-financial budget managers.
• Ability to provide constructive challenge to budget managers.
