The Role 
 
As our Individual Giving Officer, you will help to develop and implement the charity’s individual giving strategy.

Supporting the Individual Giving Manager, you will be the main point of contact and manage the day-to-day relationships with external face-to-face fundraising partners, who represent Yorkshire Cancer Research at private sites (e.g. supermarkets) and by going door-to-door to raise awareness of the work of the charity and encourage individuals to make regular gifts. You will be involved in all aspects of building and maintaining fundraising partner relationships.  

Specifically, you will: 

Support the charity’s face-to-face fundraising activities: 

• Work with the Marketing Team and face-to-face partners to build a range of marketing propositions that create memorable conversations and increase the likelihood of individuals deciding to sign up to give a regular donation. 

• Co-ordinate and facilitate training and engagement activity for new and current face-to-face fundraisers to keep them informed of and inspired by the latest developments at the charity. 

• Ensure face-to-face fundraisers have appropriate collateral and that all equipment and materials are kept up to date and are engaging for potential supporters. 

• Ensure face-to-face fundraisers represent Yorkshire Cancer Research in a way that aligns with the charity’s brand values and key messages. 

Create campaigns, supporter journeys and develop onward stewardship: 

• With the support of the Individual Giving Manager, lead individual giving fundraising campaigns and help to develop new campaign propositions that will attract and retain supporters. 

• Work with the Individual Giving Manager and Supporter Engagement Team to develop and implement supporter journeys from beginning to end for newly acquired regular donors and other key supporter groups, aiming to increase levels of affinity with the charity and encourage life-time commitment.

• In conjunction with the Supporter Engagement Team, regularly review fulfilment communications to all our individual giving supporters, ensuring they are compelling, accurate and fit for purpose. 

Be responsible for data management and reporting: 

• Analyse campaigns and activity, including monthly reviews of key performance indicators, to provide insights and inform future decisions. 

• Use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to maintain accurate records, for data segmentation and for income and other KPI reporting purposes to ensure the effective management of all individual giving activities. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or proven experience working in a similar role at a similar level. 

• To have experience of individual giving and/or new donor acquisition within the charity sector or similar customer service experience in another sector. 

• To have experience of campaign management including creating schedules, data management, creating briefing documents, budget management, analysing and reporting on results.

• To have experience of having used insight to inform decision-making. 

• To have experience of working with databases and CRM platforms (e.g. Access or Raiser’s Edge). 

• To have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships. 

• To be happy to work independently and to ask for support where this is needed. Also likes to work with, and support, colleagues as part of a team working towards a common goal.

The Café forms part of a central hub, housing a daytime café for the community and an after-school Youth Café that connects vulnerable young people to positive and inspiring role-models from their community, empowering and inspiring them to become active citizens in their community. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

The Role

• Provide philanthropic individuals with the opportunity to fund research and services that will make a positive difference to people with cancer in Yorkshire, and beyond.

We have been awarded a significant grant from the Defra Trees Call to Action Fund for #Defra Heart of England: growing momentum, capacity, skills and trees. In partnership with Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, and Wychavon District Councils, the Heart of England Forest is leading this three year project to engage with landowners and local communities to increase tree cover across the landscape. Working together to identify suitable areas for trees to be planted, facilitate tree planting, and support woodland maintenance, new woodlands will be created that benefit the environment, boost biodiversity, and provide havens for communities to enjoy.

We are looking for two candidates with widespread experience of project delivery and good team working skills. The successful candidates will work closely with project partners to engage with local communities and larger scale landowners to identify suitable areas for tree planting.  Working with them to understand their needs, you will provide information on different types of planting and support them through the regulatory and funding process.

You will be passionate about landscape-scale conservation and the benefits this brings to both people and wildlife and have a demonstrable track record in successful team working.

The post will be based in the Heart of England Forest head office in Dorsington, but due to the nature of the project  hybrid working will form part of the role.  Each project delivery post has been assigned a particular geographic area – Warwick, Stratford-on-Avon or Wychavon district – and will be expected to travel extensively across their project area. However, both posts will contribute to delivery across the wider project area as applicable, working on a collaborative manner with the existing project team.

Twins Trust is at the heart of the multiples’ community, supporting families with twins or triplets, influencing the healthcare system and campaigning on behalf of our community.

Sadly, multiple pregnancies are high risk and part of our work is to support multiple birth families where one or more babies or children have died. This role will involve the day to day running of our Bereavement Service, which supports those families.

Over the past 12 months we have overhauled our bereavement service and developed a new strategy and we are looking for someone who can now implement our new objectives

• To help our families to feel less alone in their grief
• To improve mental well-being by providing coping mechanisms to build emotional strength and resilience when living with grief 

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual who wants to support our bereaved community. We are looking for someone who has an understanding of grief and baby loss and who can provide empathetic support and guidance to families who have lost one or more of their babies.

We are looking for someone who will push forward with our new strategy and to continue to grow and manage our peer- to-peer support service by recruiting volunteers and running an organised and effective volunteer led service.

The ideal candidate will continue to develop our bereavement service and make it as impactful as possible by raising the profile of the service, establishing networks with other charities, growing the microsite and engaging with our bereaved community in a supportive and professional manner.

Yeldall Manor is a Christian recovery centre for men wanting to overcome their addiction problems. We have created this new part-time position to provide consistent and professional HR support to the organisation, bringing together various roles currently undertaken by a few different staff members.

The role will suit someone who can work under their own initiative (after training in our charity practices), experienced in overseeing the employee journey from recruitment and retention to departure. You will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, and ensure that the charity is compliant with all relevant legislation. This will involve dealing with all employment matters, building robust policies & procedures, and implementation across the organisation. You would also be responsible for preparing the staff rota and all related administration. We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities. As a small charity (c. 35 staff including part-time and casual workers), the role will require balancing practical and administrative tasks with management responsibilities. We anticipate that you'll be based in the office for at least two days out of the three days/24 hours worked per week. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

- Directly supporting tenants to manage their tenancy, assisting them with housing benefit claims and signposting them to relevant support services and liaising with support services where required.

 -Experience of working in a support role using coaching techniques to help customers identify actions and solutions themselves and promoting and maximising independence is essential

.- Working with the Nacro Housing Management Team to ensure the correct tenancies are issued, sign up new tenancies and ensure the service user understands and accepts tenancy obligations

About you and the role

The purpose of this role is to manage operational delivery of our School Chef Educator programme, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.  The School Chef Educator programme is a 10 week training programme for school kitchen staff, covering topics such as Reducing Food Waste, and Food Education. It is delivered in a blended learning format, through a mix of in-person training, bitesize webinars, and our online learning website.

You will be supported by our Director of Transformations, and manage our Chef Trainers who deliver our School Chef Educator Programme. Your role will oversee our School Chef Educator Programmes, delivered across England. This role will be primarily focused in London, but will include supporting schools in locations across the UK as we develop new hubs. An average week in this role might see you attending meetings with new partners to secure support for new programmes, sourcing venues for training days, scheduling programme delivery dates, identifying and contacting schools in our programme delivery areas to sign up their kitchen teams to our programme, developing new content on our learning management system, attending webinars our Chef Trainers are delivering, and supporting Chef Trainers with our in-person kick off sessions, and graduation celebrations.

● To support and manage our Chef Trainers to ensure a high quality and consistent standard of programme delivery.

● Coordinate and oversee all programme activities, including booking venues, scheduling, logistics, and managing Chef Trainer workload.

● Work closely with the Director of Transformations, Director of Impact and Partnerships and the School Engagement Manager to assess, cost and propose suitable programmes of support for schools, multi-academy trusts and caterers interested in our School Chef Educator Programme.
