The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. We are now looking for an Operations Assistant to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working up to 40 hours per week (part-time hours will be considered), including at least one weekend day per week.

The Role

As our Operations Assistant, you will support a seamless customer journey at the Hyde Park and The Regents Park Tennis venues, from arrival through to departure.

Acting as a first point of contact, you’ll engage with customers across our facilities, responding to enquiries, encouraging repeat bookings, and escalating complaints when needed, while consistently delivering a high standard of customer service.

You’ll also help maintain safe, well-managed venues by promoting positive customer behaviour, managing expectations around court usage, and supporting the procedures that keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Additionally, you will:

• Provide information about the surrounding park environment
• Process bookings for all visitors
• Handle tenders in line with financial policies
• Support the preparation of areas for activities and events
• Attend team briefings

About You

To be considered as an Operations Assistant, you will need:

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage customers and resources to achieve smooth operations and a great customer experience

• Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to effectively communicate with a range of audiences

The Role

• Identifying strong funding opportunities contributing to both the income forecast meetings and pipeline requirements – targeting Springboard programme priorities aligned to our strategy.

Key Responsibilities   

To work closely with the Evidence & Advocacy Manager (EAM) to develop and implement a series of impactful evidence and research projects that support our advocacy messaging, as well as internal and external learning for inclusive programmes and advisory work. These projects will build on established workstreams alongside developing new ones to maintain and extend CBM UK’s evidence base.

Disability Evidence, Policy Research and Learning  

With EAM support the ongoing CBM UK Research and Evidence workstream, through:

1. Translating evidence from our programming countries and projects to produce and contribute to a range of resources to influence FCDO and other stakeholders. Tasks to include managing and maintaining established outputs, such as the CBM UK Project Evidence Briefs and Disability Voices paper series, generating new thematic papers, as well as policy and position papers to enhance effective advocacy submissions, briefing notes, blogs and other messaging on key disability rights issues.   
2. Working collaboratively within CBM UK and across CBM Global to help develop and to deliver new policy research, drawing on mixed methods and data sources including national and international databases, using qualitative approaches including participatory or citizen generated data, and new empirical work.
3. Supporting Programme staff to improve impact and learning practice in CBM UK funded projects, provide technical support for the implementation of programme related research and data collection, including MEAL.
4. Providing technical research support into the development of proposals for new grant funded projects, and, where successful, support the management of subsequent research projects. 
5. Keeping abreast of new research and publications on key themes and priority concerns within the CBM UK Advocacy and Influencing Strategy, taking into consideration sector trends and developments, and ensure this is disseminated to relevant staff within the CBM UK Team. 
6. Keeping watch on UK policy environment and conducting research and analysis to support CBM UK advocacy messaging on disability and human rights.

Dissemination and Communications 

1. Maintaining and developing internal knowledge management systems for research and information on disability inclusion and rights, and related areas, to be used by Advocacy, Programmes and Fundraising & Communications teams.
2. Ensuring communication plans are developed with CBM UK and Global Federation colleagues for CBM UK evidence outputs.
3. Maintaining the Advocacy and Influencing pages of the CBM UK website ensuring rights-based communication and focus to support CBM UK and Global campaigns.
4. Liaison with Fundraising & Communications colleagues to amplify media stories, case studies and compelling evidence from country programming for advocacy purposes.
5. Participation in and building good relationships with UK-based disability and development networks, including relevant research networks and membership of the BOND Disability and Development Group. 
6. Supporting the professional publication and printing of CBM UK outputs, for dissemination at advocacy engagements and public events.

1. Work with other CBM UK teams to maximise cross fertilisation opportunities and integrated working.

Overview

The Campaigns and Alumni Relations Office (CAR) at the University of Sheffield is dedicated to inspiring alumni (former students) and supporters to make philanthropic gifts, as well as giving their time and expertise. A donation to the University of Sheffield can change lives, from supporting students in financial need to furthering world-leading research.

As part of the Individual Giving team in CAR, this role encourages people to make gifts of up to £10,000 using a data-driven approach and a range of communication and fundraising channels. The Fundraising Officer will also coordinate our community fundraising and in-memory programme to typically raise over £150,000 per year, as well as project managing direct mail, digital appeals and stewardship communications.

Acting as an advocate for philanthropy, you’ll support and motivate volunteer fundraisers and play a significant role in delivering the University’s flagship fundraising event, the Big Walk. You’ll also support the team to deliver fundraising and donor impact communications using a range of channels (email, print, web and video). On an ad-hoc basis you’ll manage our team of scholarship ambassadors to help engage donors, this may include coordinating small telephone fundraising sessions. 

This role would suit someone who excels at managing relationships and is confident interacting with donors and fundraisers on a daily basis. The successful candidate will also be a skilled project manager and communicator, able to juggle multiple tasks and think creatively to overcome problems.

Main duties and responsibilities

● Plan and deliver key fundraising projects using a range of channels (email, direct mail, events) to make direct asks for support through gifts and community fundraising.

● Ensure that all supporters have an exceptional experience and coordinate activities that demonstrate the impact of philanthropy in a meaningful and personal way to retain all donors.

● Support the wider team with elements of larger, multi-channel appeals. This will include building relationships with beneficiaries, suppliers, copywriting, using our mass email platform and manipulating data to personalise appeals. 

● Deliver community fundraising activities primarily the Big Walk, supported by the Individual Giving Manager and the Communications & Events team.

● Manage relationships with long-standing community fundraisers, as well as supporting ad-hoc fundraisers to maximise donations, showcase the University’s work and raise awareness of philanthropy. Proactively identify opportunities to build the supporter community and increase participation in fundraising.

● Manage relationships with corporate partners capable of sponsoring or participating in our fundraising activities, such as the Big Walk.

● Work with the team of scholarship ambassadors (students who have benefitted from donations) to gather and create content that tells their stories and demonstrates impact to donors.

● Oversee the day-to-day operations of ad-hoc telephone fundraising sessions. Including training and motivating the students, enabling them to make direct asks.

● Coordinate the fundraising team’s shared inbox and phone line, including delegating to other members of the team. Act as a key point of contact for donor and fundraiser enquiries, ensuring each supporter receives the highest level of customer service and

● Ensure that accurate records are maintained on the CRM database, Raiser's Edge and use JustGiving to optimise fundraising. Work with large datasets to personalise appeals and communication approaches, working to a data processing brief.

● Ensure fundraising activity fulfils its regulatory and statutory obligations (GDPR and Fundraising Regulator Code of Conduct) and its obligations for the health and safety of fundraisers and event participants.

Reporting into the Executive Director of Finance & IT, this Financial Controller role at Depaul UK is a rare opportunity to take a pivotal leadership position in a fast-moving, high-impact charity. Depaul UK has worked for 30 years to support people facing homelessness. Depaul UK delivers a wide range of support and housing services for young people and adults at risk of homelessness. We specialise in the provision of services that prevent homelessness, increase the resilience of those we work with, and energise opportunities for employment, education, training and volunteering in the communities in which we work. Our service provision reaches from Newcastle to Greater Manchester to London - with plans to grow our business in response to increasing need.

The key duties of the Financial Controller will be as follows:

• Lead on the preparation of year-end financial reporting across the group
• Support the preparation of Depaul UK Trustees report and lead on the annual statutory audit process
• Develop and maintain a full set of financial policies and procedures which support the charity to deliver its aims
• Review and streamline controls and processes, including greater automation/ integration with other business systems
• Act as a finance subject matter expert, providing accounting advice to the team and wider organisation
• Prepare monthly management accounts for Depaul Housing Services
• Ensure the interests of the function are represented at internal committees
• Supervise the processing of all financial transactions and payroll, ensuring adequate documentary support, correct coding and appropriate authorisation
• Ensure month end timetable is adhered to, making sure that all bank and control account reconciliations have been carried out
• Ensure all income and expenditure is appropriately analysed and restricted and designated funds are correctly accounted for

The successful candidate will have:

• A full, recognised accounting qualification, or be in the final stages
• Ideally, a background working in the charity or social housing sectors, but this is by no means essential
• Demonstrable experience working in a strong internal control environment and driving effective month and/or year-end routines
• The ability to lead and develop a high performing team
• Excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to work within a cross-functional Leadership Team to continuously improve the service

About the role

We’re looking for a Voice Officer with experience of working with children, young people and their families and amplifying their voices to help create positive change to join our Voice Team. 

The Voice Officer is a key member of the Voice Team, responsible for enabling Young Lives vs Cancer to shape the children and young people’s cancer system with and for young people with cancer and their families. You will enable young people affected by cancer and their families to have a stronger voice inside and outside the organisation - not just to contribute, but also to challenge, giving the power to them to amplify their voice and make positive change.

You will work with the Voice Manager and Head of Voice to deliver our Voice work to a high quality. Responsible for managing incoming enquiries and communications with our volunteer Voice Board Members, Voice Champions and Voice Hub network, working with the team to plan and run meetings and events both online and in person. With excellent organisational skills, you will help plan and coordinate our voice work, building strong working relationships with colleagues and our voice community with volunteer management responsibility for Voice Board Members and Voice Champions.

Communication and Organisation

• Delivering effective internal communication regarding the Voice team and playing a pro-active and leading role in Voice team meetings
• Supporting with correspondence, record-keeping and tracking leading on communications with our voice volunteers and internal communications

• Working with the Voice Manager and Head of Voice to ensure that we are able to amplify voices of all our beneficiaries across the whole of the UK, from the widest range of backgrounds and cultures

The Survivor Engagement and Activism Coordinator leads the Helen Bamber Foundation’s work to ensure that survivors of trafficking, torture, and human rights abuses are meaningfully involved in shaping services, influencing policy, and driving social change. Working within the Community and Integration team, the post holder safeguards and supports clients as they participate in advocacy, leadership, and organisational development projects.

They oversee key survivor engagement programmes, including the Ambassadors for Change advocacy and leadership programme, the Client Voices Forum, the Board Advisers, and the Alumni Network. This involves coordinating training, facilitating meetings, supporting campaigns, managing administrative processes, and ensuring survivors are prepared, empowered, and safe throughout their involvement.

The role also involves developing innovative ways for survivors to collaborate with staff, contributing to service design, organisational strategy, and sector-wide initiatives. The post holder builds relationships across the asylum and modern slavery sectors, manages lived experience opportunities, and may support client progression and education casework when needed.

Throughout all responsibilities, the Coordinator champions survivor leadership, promotes diversity and inclusion, maintains the ethos of the charity, and practices strong self-care while working with traumatic material.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Moving and Handling advisor, with an interest in working with older people, to join our established and well-regarded in-house Therapy team at Nightingale Hammerson. We’re a diverse, friendly team who are passionate about delivering exceptional services for our Jewish Residents across a full spectrum of needs through a relationship-centred care framework and within a palliative care model.

Your role will be split between delivering moving and handling training to our care teams, supporting teams on the households with moving and handling activities, carrying out complex moving and handling assessments, working as part of a multidisciplinary team and introducing service development initiatives and innovation. You’ll work holistically with a keen interest in our equipment and establish effective relationships with our external stakeholders.

You’ll have time to get to know and work collaboratively with our Residents implementing rehabilitation programmes and optimising functional ability to improve quality of life. Put simply, you will make a difference.

Our ideal candidate will be skilled in facilitating learning, supporting residents with complex needs using a range of skills and techniques, using advanced communication skills and strategies to support engagement and being confident with supporting Residents who may be frail and living with a range of medical conditions until the end of their lives. We particularly also welcome candidates with an interest in 24 hour postural support and MDT working around seating and positioning.  This role offers a mix of leadership opportunities including delivering training as well as hands on face-to-face time

The Organisation

The Role

As one of our Project Managers in the Event Development team, you will play a vital role in project visioning, developing and tendering for a wide range of annual contracted events throughout The Royal Parks.

Specifically, you will help support and deliver the commercial and strategic vision for our most significant major events and lead on the development of new event tender projects.

You’ll ensure that our commercial activities are sustainable and profitable whilst remaining consistent with our values and sympathetic to parkland activities. With this in mind, you will project lead on market research, commercial modelling, strategic and creative visioning, tender planning and contract development work.

The role will involve:

• Creating and drafting strategies for future tenders for major public events
• Preparing and maintaining detailed project plans and tender documentation
• Gathering event feasibility, market research data and information for event tenders
• Supporting the Event Development team project activities for event tenders
• Managing the day-to-day admin for event tender projects

Additionally, the role does not involve:

• Working on or managing events, as the hosting venue we do not organise events ourselves
• Booking events suppliers or entertainment

About You

To be considered as one of our Project Managers within Event Development, you will need:

• Excellent experience working as a project manager within outdoor events or public parks
• Good knowledge and experience in tendering for event providers and contract administration within the events industry
• Excellent communication, presentation, proofreading and report-writing skills
• Good organisation skills
• The ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships
• The ability to analyse information, make informed judgements, appraise performance, and manage risks
• A PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent Microsoft Project and/or Project Management experience would be beneficial to your application. A degree level education in event management or equivalent experience would be desirable.

An understanding of the public procurement exercises (The Procurement Act 2023) would be desirable.

IT literacy, including Microsoft Office products; Teams, OneDrive, Project, Planner, To-do, SharePoint, PowerPoint & Sway, Lists and Viva, would also be advantageous.

About the Role

As a Case Manager you will strive to make contact and work on a one-one basis with perpetrators to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services. To do this you will work alongside existing agencies to design a co-ordinated, intervention plan, addressing identified needs and risk, and promoting understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours.

You will work closely with the IDVA's (integrated partner support) to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved. You will be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse and /or mental health, substance misuse and offending.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. All client related travel will be reimbursed.
