The Role
In this role, you will oversee the grant and project management of all international activities, including monitoring project progress, maintaining reporting systems and generating impact reports. You will play a key role in ensuring the best practices and communication are maintained within the team and external partners.

Purpose

This is an exciting time at CBM UK, as we continue to grow and develop our philanthropic

fundraising. To help us achieve our ambitious long-term goals this role requires an

experienced and passionate individual to be part of our Philanthropy Team.

This vital role will lead the programme to build and grow our relationships with High-Net-

Worth Individuals (Major Donors) over the next five years and beyond. Working alongside

the Head of Philanthropy, you will seek to build upon current relationships, as well as

identifying, researching and cultivating relationships with new and lapsed major donors to

increase income for CBM UK’s work.

CBM is a Christian charity, and as a key supporter facing role, the position holder will

represent CBM’s purpose and ethos to all external audiences and will be sympathetic and

embracing of Christian beliefs and values.

You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled Fundraising and Communications team,

dedicated to inspiring people in the UK to help transform lives in some of the world’s

poorest places.

Responsibilities and areas of work

This important role will seek to develop our Major Donor income stream, seeking to grow

both numbers of donors and income raised. At CBM, a Major Donor is considered to be

one who has the capacity to give £5,000+ per year and who relishes the opportunity to

have one-to-one, personalised interactions with CBM.

This role will seek to identify new high-level donors, as well as help to develop existing

relationships with our generous supporters.

Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Leadership Team, other team

members and (occasionally) external consultants, this role focusses on building and

consolidating our major donor portfolio, so increasing our donor base and thus our in-year

and pledged income.

Main Goal:

To successfully steward a portfolio of new and existing major donors through tailored

approaches, so securing repeat and multi-year gifts to achieve agreed income targets and

KPIs.

This will be achieved through:

1. New business acquisition:

a) Analysing our current supporter base to build a prospect list, using our database

(Salesforce) and external databases, to assess the potential to upgrade active,

lapsed and prospective major donors.

b) Researching, identifying and securing major donor prospects, through the

identification of high-net-worth individuals who may have an interest in CBM’s work,

and through proactive and effective networking, including working with our Trustees,

Patrons and Ambassadors.

c) Identifying next steps and determining tactics for engagement, including 1:1

working, giving group presentations and delivering pitches at various levels, and

leading on their facilitation.

d) Attending networking opportunities in Cambridge, London and the surrounding

areas to represent CBM and to engage potential major donors in our work

2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:

a) Developing and implementing tailored cultivation and stewardship plans, so that

individuals are engaged in a bespoke manner, ensuring that they feel a part of CBM

and that their generosity is recognised, through regular reporting, interactions,

updates and tailored approaches.

b) Developing donor-centric applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post,

email, phone and face-to-face) that are driven by insight on donors’ individual needs

and preferences and are tailored to their interests and requirements, following up as

required.

c) Reporting to donors in both formal and informal ways, as appropriate, to ensure

they are kept up to date with CBM, the impact of their grant and project

developments.

d) Hosting and facilitating face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors,

including organising dates, venues and agendas/ talking points, and creating

Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes as far as possible.

e) Promoting the importance of legacies, and legacy income, where appropriate, and

to steward those who have pledged.

f) Organising and managing the successful delivery of at least one Major Donor Event

annually (cultivation, stewardship, thanking etc), to ensure positive relations and

potential new business, in collaboration with our Fundraising and Programme

colleagues.

g) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy and the Philanthropy Officer on the

identification, stewardship and cultivation of potential corporate partners.

3. Proposal and Report Writing

a) Crafting compelling proposals and reports that meet the bespoke needs of major

donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues,

within agreed deadlines.

b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of major

donor proposals / reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications

Team to ensure consistency of messaging.

c) Working with the Philanthropy Team to develop new projects/ themes/ appeals for

potential projects.

d) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy on collating information and providing reports

to Foundation donors as needed.

4. Planning and Budgeting

a) Contributing to the development of an Income Generation and Engagement

strategy, led by the Director of Fundraising, Impact & Communications.

b) Closely monitoring income and expenditure, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy

where necessary, and contributing to the creation of yearly fundraising budgets and

plans and quarterly Board Reports.

c) Establishing, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, milestones

and targets to facilitate informed decisions and improved working practice.

5. Other

a) Ensuring all information, donor activity is recorded and kept up-to-date on our

database to fully-inform any approaches/meetings.

b) Providing proof-reading and copy-editing support to colleagues.

c) Helping to develop a culture of enthusiasm and success, reflecting the ambitions of

CBM, and promoting positive working and innovation.

d) Ensuring that the values of CBM UK are understood by external partners and

always reflected in communications.

e) Carrying out any additional duties as required by the Head of Philanthropy and

Director of Fundraising, Impact and Communications.

We are recruiting for temporary Corporate Partnership Manager for a medical charity. You will need corporate account and new business experience to help manage and deliver mid value partnerships of 50k+..

The role can be remote but will be needed to come to the London office when needed, This is a 3 month temporary role.

The Role
Effectively manage a portfolio of existing corporate partners - proactively developing opportunities for diverse growth.

The Role

The Role 
 
As our Retail Support Manager, you will provide management cover at retail locations as required by the charity. Supporting the Retail Area Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop that you are covering, including managing a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures. • Provide management cover at Retail locations as required by the charity currently including (but not limited to Castleford, Heckmondwike, Selby, Leeds and Hull shops). This may also expand to include additional locations as the charity’s number of shops grows however depending on the role holder’s geographic location, we can agree which areas will be covered.

• Lead a team of volunteers to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

• Deliver any volunteer training required and make every effort to create a welcoming and happy environment. 

• Responsible for volunteer training and engagement, ensuring the volunteer management system is actively kept up to date in the absence of the Shop Manager.

• Ensure there is management cover and sufficient volunteers to operate all trading hours. 

• Ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received). 

• Responsible for ensuring accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes at each location.

Delegates can include senior decision-makers in governance, fundraising, finance, human resources, procurement, programmes, effectiveness, monitoring, evaluation, policy, advocacy, campaigning, communications and marketing.

Main responsibilities

• Creating events in salesforce and uploading them to Bond’s website according to the organisations style guidelines
• To support all digital content of uploading and editing sessions and speakers on the Bond website
• To coordinate logistics for in-person, virtual, or hybrid events. This will include visiting venues in person as and when required and supporting with in person, virtual and hybrid events.
• To manage the events inbox and ensure all delegate and participant queries are responded to in a timely and efficient manner
• Build and maintain key relationships with internal and external partners
• Work with Events Adviser to support events delivery 
• To manage all event-related tasks, including drafting event materials and communications (such as invitations and post-event emails), compiling post-event reports, collecting attendee feedback, tracking metrics, and updating the CRM (Salesforce) with attendance data. The Digital Marketing Coordinator/Adviser will bring together all aspects of Bond’s digital and social media marketing, to ensure that Bond maximises its marketing reach for all its products and services and particularly membership. The role will support content production on the website and coordinate some of the internally produced content items such as the communications to CEOs. • Contributing to social media engagement and brand awareness campaigns, and monitoring or handling social interactions

• Supporting the Communications Adviser in developing the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) of digital platforms

• Providing accurate reports and analysis to clients and company management

• Keeping up to date with current digital trends 

Creating content

• Supporting the Communications Adviser in writing and uploading copy and images for websites, developing content calendars, and creating content for blogs and social media

Cross-organisational support

• Assisting the communications team to ensure that approaches to digital marketing and social media are integrated into all areas of Bond’s work and support other teams in the delivery of their projects.

What You’ll Do 

• Develop and manage the Foundation’s brand and creative strategy in conjunction with the CEO and Head of Fundraising 

• Oversee and administer marketing and communications for the Foundation, including annual plans, message development, campaigns, creative direction, target audiences, timelines, talking points, and other related issues

The hospice offers a 14-bedroom ward for patients who need round the clock care as well as a Wellbeing service – in total The Prince of Wales Hospice cares for over 2,000 people a year!

The care provided at The Prince of Wales Hospice concentrates on quality of life and the alleviation of distressing psychological, spiritual, physical and social symptoms. It also includes support in bereavement. To provide this care, they have a highly skilled team with a wide range of specialisms.

Despite costing £12,000 a day to run the hospice and £4m a year, all of the services are entirely free of charge to patients and their families. We are looking for an experienced Individual Giving Fundraiser to join the fundraising team at this fabulous hospice.

The Role

As Individual Giving Fundraiser you will be responsible for planning and executing appropriate in-memory, legacy and general mailed appeals & marketing campaigns. Duties will include:

• Building a plan to promote in-mem & celebration fundraising
• Working collaboratively with the Fundraising and Marketing Teams delivering campaigns and communications across all channels to maximise income streams
• Managing legacy administration, building and stewarding strong, mutually beneficial relationships with solicitors, will writers, spiritual leaders and funeral directors
• Actively contributing to the development of the Income Generation Business Plan and budgets
• Working with Local Hospice Lottery (liaising with 3rd party provider) to increase the number of venues & players

The Person

To be successful in this extremely exciting role we are looking for an experienced and personable fundraiser. While previous fundraising experience would be advantageous, we are also keen to speak with people looking to transfer their skillset into this incredibly rewarding role from a marketing, communication or journalism background. 

You will possess excellent writing and communication skills, along with experience of using a customer relationship management database and knowledge of fundraising CRM. Experience of creating engaging appeals with budgets and on time is desirable as is experience line managing or supervising staff or volunteers.

You will be willing and able to independently travel to external meetings and events and have the ability to show empathy with good emotional intelligence. Maintaining a positive professional approach when representing the Hospice will be essential at all times.
