About the role
This is a new role that follows a decision to focus our new organisational strategy for 2024-2027 on growing our external influence and that of our network of 47 community foundations across the UK.

Purpose: To enhance UKCF's communications, brand and external influence in order to engage and inspire key audiences, thereby supporting the effectiveness of our business development, grant programmes and strategic delivery.
Key responsibilities:

Internal strategic communications
Key responsibilities:

Line management of the Communications and Marketing Manager, as well as any other staff or contractors that are recruited on a temporary or permanent basis.

Manage UKCF’s communication and marketing budget, continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency and impact of investment.

As our Philanthropy Executive (Trusts & Foundations), you will be responsible for maximising income through managing a portfolio of four-to-five figure partners and prospects, engage with key external supporters and help the team build relationships with individual philanthropists and trusts through meetings, events, tailored communications and funding applications.

The Job

The Senior Communications Officer role:
As our Senior Communications Officer, you will assist with the development and the delivery of the Communications Strategy through use of our various communications channels and functions: websites, social media, newsletters, leaflets, posters, press releases, events etc. You will also increase the visibility of St Luke’s and its brand to the wider community, with the aim to reach new target groups for membership, increase visitor participation in our events and activities and generate income from fundraising and commercial activities.
Responsibilities of our Senior Communications Officer will include:
- Support the Senior Communications Manager to develop and deliver the Communications Strategy for St Luke’s across the spectrum of communications disciplines: media and public relations, internal communication, brand marketing, advertising, marketing, social media and production of materials.
- Design and produce key marketing materials promoting larger events at the Centre. Also oversee production of materials for all activities and events through structured templates and training to members of staff. This involves adherence to St Luke’s Brand Guidelines.
- To shoot and edit film assets and footage for our social media channels, managing our YouTube channel and giving people an insight into daily life at the Centre through our videos.
- To co-ordinate an online events calendar through our membership database, working with Service Managers to ensure events are publicised through the relevant channels including website, newsletter, social media, etc.
- Manage the website content (WordPress) and the membership database, Membership Works, co-ordinating other users who access the system and providing training where needed.
- Provide content for daily updates on social media channels, expanding our scope and keeping up-to-date with developments. Manage sponsored posts. Provide support for staff needing to update social media, including occasional drop-in workshops.
- Manage the photograph library, and assist if staff require specific photos for publicity. Arrange photographers for events and photo sessions at the Centre. Advise staff on GDPR rules around photography where necessary.
Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities we are looking for in our ideal Senior Communications Officer:
- Experience of contributing to and working in a team to deliver a Communications Strategy

The Job
The welfare of our dogs is very important to us. We have a no-kennel policy, and all our dogs live in the homes of volunteer puppy Socialisers until they are about 18 months old. We are committed to providing quality training and support for all our dogs and the volunteers who look after them.
This role requires someone with the skills, experience, and passion to take responsibility for organising and monitoring the Assistance dog training team. The successful candidate will ensure that the team of Assistance Dog Trainers develop our puppies and young dogs to ensure they receive the highest standard of socialisation and training, thereby maximising their chances of becoming a Medical Alert Assistance Dog. Specific Responsibilities
- To oversee the day-to-day activities of the Assistance Dog Trainers, carrying out 121’s, annual reviews, etc.
- To oversee the preparation of and to deliver in accordance with the dog pick-up schedule for the MAAD programme
- To support puppies or young dogs when required
- To carry out the 6-month, 12-month, and final assessments of dogs
- Assist with the training and development of Trainee Assistance Dog Trainers and less experienced Trainers which may include acting as a mentor

You will be supporting volunteers and the the local communities to take positive environmental actions in the form of gardening organically, home composting, waste reduction and supporting biodiversity.
As a Senior Project Coordinator you will work collaboratively and proactively with project colleagues, stakeholders and volunteers. You will identify new partnership and delivery opportunities based on local community and project needs. This role will be based out of our head office at Ryton but you will be building many new relationships, so expect to be out and about locally.
You will work with other senior project coordinators and department leads to ensure that support for all our volunteers exceeds expectation, and our community projects are delivered to an excellent standard. You will contribute to and where appropriate oversee the development of project related resources.
You will support and deliver events and activities by enlisting volunteers and ensuring that they have the guidance and materials they need.
You will deliver workshops and training on topics core to the principles of organic gardening including home composting, waste reduction, and biodiversity, for a variety of audiences.
Evaluation of project impact is paramount for the charity and its commissioners, so you will work with volunteers to collate written feedback and produce detailed reports as required. Your written feedback will require analysis and evidence of the expected or actual impact of your, and your associated volunteers, work.

Reporting into the Head of Knowledge Transfer, you will be joining a UK-wide team with a broad range of skill sets, knowledge, and experience. The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

About the Role
Senior Administrator - Based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire - opportunity to support an award-winning Charity in the Health and Social Care.
Are you a people focused Admin Team Leader, Senior Administrator, Office Manager looking to lead the charity strategy with their support to unpaid carers?
Our client offer a comprehensive support service to unpaid carers within Northamptonshire in collaboration with organisations that complement the service they deliver. They recognise the vital contribution carers make to society and empower carers in improving their health, wellbeing and quality of life. They recognise the diversity of their communities and are committed to supporting all carers.
What you'll be doing
- Lead, develop and coach the Admin Team
- Maintain service performance targets
- Reporting to the Operations Manager you'll ensure an efficient and productive admin office
- Monitor and review processes for efficiency improvements
- Liaise with external Healthcare Professionals and Carers
- Update Website and Social Media Channels
- Data reporting with Charitylog, Excel, and other systems in line with Data Protection Requirements
- Promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
The right candidate
- Experience of staff team management, including supervision, appraisals, and training
- Great oral, written, administration and IT communication skills
- Experience of working in a fast-paced office environment
- Have DBS and the right to work in the UK
