We are looking for a Management Accountant to join the National Theatre Finance Team on a 6 month contract.

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of this role is to provide management accounting support for the National Theatre and to assist the Management Accountant in providing quality financial reporting to Producing and Production stakeholders. The post-holder will work closely with finance colleagues and key stakeholders providing timely and accurate information.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• The post holder must be part-qualified in a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or be qualified by experience.

• Management accounting experience within either a commercial or not for profit organisation including month end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis is highly beneficial.

• Experience working in the Arts/Theatre or strong interest in pursuing a career in the sector.

• Excellent numeracy and Microsoft Excel skills. Must be confident in manipulating data in spreadsheets and using those to present financial analysis in a clear and concise manner.

• Management accounting experience within either a commercial or not for profit organisation including month end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis is highly beneficial.

As a Support Advisor working part time or full time, you will be a fundamental part of our team, supporting the delivery of the RISE programmes and the development of the service. The service will provide a range of trauma-informed and person-centred support, focused on supporting those impacted by abuse to access education, training, employment or volunteering.

You will be responsible for providing trauma informed support through group work and 1-1 support. Working alongside a team of practitioners across our geographical patch in Wiltshire, the project aims to:

• Increase volunteers in FearFree and support people to access volunteering opportunities externally.
• Support individuals impacted by abuse to access training and employment.
• Help people access bespoke apprenticeships and internships.
• Support service users to increase and advance work related skills, such as the development of CVs, financial management and IT skills.
• Raise awareness of this agenda to a wider network.

The service will support victims of Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence and Stalking aged 15 and above, alongside perpetrators of Domestic Abuse – empowering victims and reducing the risk of recidivism for perpetrators.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks

The Role

As Trust Fundraising Manager you will secure new funding opportunities and work on a pool of warm and cold charitable Trusts with a focus on the £10,000 to £40,000 range.  The role involves researching and qualifying prospects, submitting high quality funding applications and stewarding existing donors effectively. It will also involve managing reporting deadlines and matching potential donors to projects needing to be fundraised for, collaborating with our Service Teams. 

You will prepare applications and reports to trusts and foundations, in line with funder deadlines, keeping in touch with donors and prospects via phone, virtually and face to face. You will match potential donors with projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach.

The person

You will have experience of: Securing funding from Trusts with excellent writing and presentation skills; Solid prospect research skills to identify new funding opportunities and maintain a forward pipeline of applications; Of working collaboratively with Service Teams to package and cost project areas; Stewardship of warm funders including preparing donor reports, reviewing financial reports and gathering case studies. You will also have strong time management skills with ability to manage and prioritise your workload and ideally experience of using a CRM for Trust Fundraising.

About the Role

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Significant experience in marketing including developing complex and integrated multi-channel marketing plans
• Extensive experience in Individual Giving acquisition programmes, including developing audience led marketing campaigns to acquire new regular giving donors
• Outstanding project management skills and experience with a proven ability to plan and manage activity that delivers complex projects on time and to budget
• Experience of effectively managing external partners, including knowledge and experience of working with media agencies to plan, buy and optimise paid media, creative agencies, telemarketing and fulfilment agencies

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• Importing batches of client information into our client management system and ensuring uploads are working correctly. Addressing errors on our client database: merging data where it is held across multiple client records, deleting incorrect enquires and deleting duplicate client records.
• Make outbound calls to clients when required, such as booking home visits, and keeping client records up to date.
• Support HES team annual leave process, checking managers have approved internal team requests and updating allocations against projects on the staff planner.
• Manage and keep track of HES subscriptions to services or packages and coordinate payments and purchase orders with project managers. Make sure any details and logins are GDPR compliant.
• Responsibility for HES complaints handling procedure – providing guidance to managers handling complaints to ensure adherence to policy and tracking and recording responses.
• Support senior HES managers with recruitment work; liaising with appropriate teams within CSE in producing HES recruitment materials; onboarding new HES starters including providing thorough team specific information for line managers.
• Support senior HES managers with probations and interim review meetings; tracking progress towards probations. Tracking progress towards appraisal SMART objectives with support from the line manager.
• Be a GDPR champion for the HES team. Working with CSE’s GDPR officer and project managers to ensure procedures are compliant.
• Take a proactive approach to problem solving. Influence and contribute to improving HES systems and processes.
• Supervise and mentor the HES Project Administrator, support their learning and taking ownership for ensuring consistency of HES admin provision.

The service you will work in enables NHS Talking Therapies (TT) services in Harrow to offer a personalised package of psychological therapy and employment support to all TT clients who want to find, sustain, get back to, or positively leave, work.  As an Employment Advisor at Twining Enterprise, you will play a crucial role in our employment support services. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our clients, changing their lives by guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.

A day in this role might include client meetings in person or online, reviewing client documents and providing feedback, following up on new client referrals, completing client records using Twining's client database, completing performance/progress reports, liaising with employers about potential job vacancies, going to jobs fairs, and liaising with referral partners.

• Engage a mixed caseload of around 25-35 clients at any given time (100-125 per year), with common mental health problems, to establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them to find new employment or support them in, or to leave, existing employment. Support will be provided face-to-face in TT settings, via secure online meeting platforms or over the telephone.
• Along with their NHS clinician, assess clients' support needs with a view to creating, implementing and adjusting a personalised action plan to help improve clients' mental health and achieve their stated employment goals.
• Develop and deliver a range of practical services to support clients to find work, including career guidance, job searching skills, CV preparation, application form completion, interview skills, advice on local labour market opportunities and advice on education and training to further their career.
• Provide guidance to support clients to stay in existing work, including advice on mental health disclosure, negotiating reasonable adjustments to existing workplaces, creating wellness action plans and improving productivity, support to return to work after sickness absence or to leave an existing role with dignity, and signpost clients to organisations that can represent them (EAs should only look to represent clients in exceptional circumstances).
• Facilitate access to other advice in areas such as financial benefits, debt management, food banks and community food outlets and social housing providers, as necessary.

The role holder must also:

• NVQ Level 3 minimum or equivalent in either employment support/advice, mental health or other relevant area, or equivalent experience gained through work experience in the field.
• Understanding and experience of the support needs of people with common mental health conditions in finding, retaining, returning to, or leaving mainstream employment.
• Knowledge and experience of working in a health or social care setting.
• Evidence of basic counselling skills.
• Ability to assess individual client strengths and needs in relation to employment and think creatively to provide bespoke client action planning and solutions.
• Experience of effective diary management, prioritising tasks and working to tight deadlines to manage own caseload and associated administration.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients (face to face, by telephone and in writing) and as part of a team.
• Able to present confidently to external stakeholders and partners at various levels.
• Proven ability to work effectively and be accountable in an outcome-driven environment.
• Ability to collect and report data to support service performance and evaluation.
• Excellent computer skills including ability to utilise database and Microsoft packages.
• Willingness and ability to undertake the relevant training associated with the role and then integrate that training into practice.

This critical role is part of our newly established Policy, Advocacy and Influencing knowledge group, which brings together colleagues across policy, public affairs and campaigning to work together to ensure effective strategic influencing in our three policy areas ( adolescent risk and vulnerability, mental health, poverty). The role sits within our Youth Impact domain, which brings together teams directly supporting young people across the country in practice and our national programmes. What connects us is our desire to be grounded in youth voice and to change the systems that surround young people for the better to ultimately lead to improved outcomes for young people. ROLEWe are looking for a talented and ambitious manager to develop and deliver an ambitious new policy and influencing programme for our risk portfolio. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the issues facing children and young people most at risk, as well as prior experience in influencing local and national government to bring about tangible change across systems, services and support. Sitting in a high performing team of five the Workforce Development & Training Officers will work together to deliver all aspects of the team’s operational work which achieves the objective of growing the workforce in our specialties, clinical oncology and clinical radiology. In this broad role you will encompass supporting both trainees and their trainers through their programmes. You will be self-motivated, able to build your expertise in the relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks within which they operate and apply that expertise across a wide portfolio of activity. As new initiatives evolve and become business as usual, the work of operations will evolve.

What you’ll do:

• Provide tailored advice on all matters that might affect a trainee’s status and training time using expertise in the regulatory frameworks associated with specialty training in the UK.
• Proactively work with WDTO colleagues to ensure trainees and trainers are adequately supported.
• Review and prepare CESR and MTI applications for assessment by the specialist committee.
• Manage and deliver the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) recommendation process.
• Provide a timely, customer-focussed and responsive service.

• Detailed understanding (or the ability to rapidly acquire it) of UK legislation and GMC regulations and procedures in relation to entry to GMC registers and the right to work in the UK.
