Whizz Kidz is transforming. It is an exciting time to join us as Partnerships Development Manager as we embark on an ambitious strategy for the next three years. As a senior member of the Corporate Partnerships team this role will work closely with the Head of Partnerships and play a key role in identifying, securing, developing and delivery of long-term relationships with companies – both large and small – so we increase the number, scale and value of corporate partnerships with the goal of providing more sustainable support for Whizz-Kidz. Over 75,000 young people aren’t getting the wheelchair or support that fully meets their needs. Without the ability to be independent young wheelchair users are restricted in their ability to socialise and participate in society.

The Fundraising and communications team at Whizz Kidz raises around 95% of the income to fund the work of the charity and supports the generation of funds through on and offline publications, develops our social media and website presence and leads on PR activities.
The person
As the Whizz Kidz Partnership Development Manager you will be expected to get into the heart of the organisation, understand our ambitions and use your passion, knowledge and skills to help identify and deliver new mutually beneficial corporate partnerships. You will the experience and knowledge of how to identify and quantify the right opportunities for Whizz Kidz and know what it takes to win and manage different types of partnerships – employee engagement, strategic and brand and commercial. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable presenting and willing to develop and learn new skills. You will be keen to play a key role within the fundraising and marcomms team to help maintain a positive culture, use your strong relationship management skills internally and externally, help increase brand awareness and unlock vital income to create positive change for young wheelchair users and their families.
Key accountabilities
• A key role in the Partnerships team focused on generating long term sustainable income (unrestricted/restricted) from the corporate sector by developing income first multi-year employee engagement, strategic and commercial partnerships.

You will maintain safe Medication Management within Yeldall Manor, ensuring that all medication including new supplies, is correctly administered, recorded accurately, and regularly audited, investigating and resolving any discrepancies. With the Healthcare Coordinator, you will assist the residents in accessing GP and specialist services, and ensuring that up to date electronic records are maintained of all healthcare matters for residents.
You will have excellent administrative and IT skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with medical professionals, along with a commitment to providing high-quality and compassionate care and support. Medical knowledge may be advantageous, but is not a necessity for this role.

This role will require an experienced HR generalist with some knowledge of payroll. Secondly, the postholder in partnership with the People Business Partner will support the senior leadership team, managers and staff throughout the organisation to deal with HR related matters in whatever form they take. Ideally you will have an overview of organisational design and procedures, which will allow you to act as an adviser to resolve staffing issues/conduct, absence and sickness management, recruitment and retention. Empathy and an understanding of the importance of process are important characteristics.
Thirdly, with the core tasks complete there is then freedom to develop our approach to HR, internal culture and learning and put your own stamp on KSS. The postholder will work closely with all business areas to align the HR strategies with the business goals and organisational culture. By developing meaningful organisational-related policies, practices, and processes and, working with internal stakeholders, the postholder will take the lead on business strategies that could focus on a myriad of areas such as culture development, learning, organisational effectiveness, EDI, employee engagement or reward. A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.
Our Hackney Parent Support project is commissioned by Hackney Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and parenting courses for families throughout the Hackney region. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.
We are seeking a capable Service Engagement Lead to manage, coordinate and support both the Infant feeding and Parenting course projects. This role is split between being out in the community and working from home, it will include regular travel across the Hackney borough (expenses will be reimbursed).
About the Role
Working closely with the Hackney Parent Support team, you will be responsible for the service engagement and promotion of our community-based services across Hackney. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
· Line managing the paid peer supporters within the Hackney staff team.
· Coordinating and maintaining the active social media and Infant Feeding Services website.
· Advertising volunteering opportunities across varying platforms including social media and in person at local events.
· Provide clear guidance and information to potential volunteers on the roles, responsibilities and training requirements.
· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all support groups are accessible and inclusive.
· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.
· Coordinate and deliver the Breast Pump Hire Service across the Borough.
· Build and maintain relationships with local organisations and the children’s and family hubs
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires experience of giving breastmilk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours. There will also be training on the EPEC (Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities course) provided by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
The role is 28 hours per week, with the hours worked across the week between the core hours of 9-5, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This is role is based out in the community within Hackney with some home working.

For those who are older and disabled it is a great challenge to maintain the relationships and activities that have supported them through life. As engagement leads at Hammerson House it is our challenge to help them do so and, taking a person centred approach, results in a wide and ever shifting variety of activities and individual interventions for our residents. We are a large and innovative organisation that is always trying to develop new ways to foster community and connect our residents with what matters to them.
We are specifically looking for a new member of the team to work with our residents living with dementia and while this does present particular challenges the rewards are also particularly high.
This is a job of tremendous variety and possibilities and requires individuals who have the energy, people skills and logistical know-how to bring the right ideas to fruition. Experience of working in care is not a necessity and we would welcome candidates with a diverse range of people-facing experiences and those with creative backgrounds. Experience of supporting people with dementia or other neurological conditions would be desirable.

Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

£30,000 per annum for the full time role

WorkWell Personal Budget Co-ordinator
Location: Based in our Cambridge office with travel across South and East Cambridgeshire, with option for hybrid working.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm
Contract: Fixed term contract until 31st March 2026
Salary: £26,452.00 per annum Scale Point 15 (April 2024)
WorkWell is an exciting new project that will look to support people across Cambridge City, East Cambs and South Cambs in either getting back to work or to enable them to thrive at work.
The Work Well program will support people who are struggling to maintain employment or have recently lost their employment due to health challenges.
Work Well Coaches may request the allocation of a personal support budget, the WorkWell Personal Budget Co-ordinator will ensure that individual budgets and the fund as a whole are managed within the parameters of the project.
Working across the Work Well Team and the CPSL Mind Finance Team, the post holder will monitor spending against personal support budgets including matching of invoices or receipts to individual spends. They will monitor the total allocation of personal budgets and prepare monthly invoices to the program funders.
We actively monitor applications for employment and will shortlist and arrange interviews for these roles as applications are submitted.
