Acer Trust, an Oxfordshire multi-academy trust, is seeking a Finance Director to lead our fantastic finance team through the next stage of our Trust’s development. In the past year we have added two new schools into the Trust and restructured our finance and business operations to better support our schools. We are now looking for a strategic finance professional to embed our new structure and processes and help us to develop and implement a new financial strategy to support our next phase of development. This exciting and challenging role would suit an experienced Head of Finance or senior Finance Manager aspiring to grow into a Chief Financial Officer role in the future.

Against a tough financial backdrop for all schools, and with some of our schools experiencing particularly challenging circumstances, you will work collaboratively with Headteachers, Business Managers and the Chief Operations and Finance Officer to embed a culture of financial prudence and facilitate creative solutions to these challenges. Role context:

The Finance Manager role is a newly created role which is being introduced to strengthen the organisation’s financial management and control systems. The postholder will work across the breadth of the finance function preparing internal management accounts and external annual accounts.

In 2024, Cord changed its finance system to use Business Central. The Finance Manager will become the organisation’s main ‘admin’ user of the finance system. In the near-term, there will be a particular focus on rolling out further functionality of the system.

The Finance Manager will have oversight of the UK finance function through the line management of the UK Finance Officer and will directly deliver on the international side of operations in the areas of donor compliance, programme financial management, partner financial monitoring, and reporting. About this role

Due to the significant growth phase, we require vital cornerstone funding from a new Major Gifts function that has just been established, to secure donations from high-net worth individuals, that will enable us to achieve our mission and help thousands of women to transform their lives.

The Philanthropy Manager is an exciting new role that provides an opportunity to build a new major gifts programme from scratch, raising £150,000 income by end of March 2025. Supported by the Director of Partnerships, you will work closely with the Board and our network of 750 volunteers, to develop a giving strategy that will engage and grow a new pool of crucial supporters for Smart Works.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building a new portfolio of major donors, including conducting prospect research, developing bespoke stewardship materials, and securing five-figure and six-figure repeat gifts.

We seek an excellent communicator, with significant experience in influencing, negotiating and exceeding set targets. Creativity, an understanding of women’s fashion, and knowledge of wealth circles would also be advantageous.

StreetVet is looking to recruit a dynamic, ambitious and confident Fundraising Manager to work with the Head of Marketing to develop and implement the fundraising strategy for StreetVet to achieve a revenue target for FY24/25 of £1.15 million, building a sustainable revenue stream for the long-term with a minimum 5% Yr on Yr growth.

Main Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be a core member of the Central Team, working closely with the Marketing Team to develop and deliver the income stream for the charity with fundraising strategies that support StreetVet’s mission. This role will have budgetary responsibility and will involve building a donor database, donor and fundraiser stewardship, organising fundraising events, and securing grants and sponsorships.

The role will report to the Head of Marketing and will be responsible for driving forward all aspects of fundraising, including building corporate partnerships, individual giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, legacies and community.

The StreetVet Central Team is a small but agile team of just eleven employees, working alongside its legion of veterinary volunteers, so we expect the successful candidate to be a self-starter with a “can do” attitude, lots of energy and drive and a want to make a big difference.

Responsibilities:

Fundraising Management and Development

• Work with the Head of Marketing to develop and implement a balanced and realistic fundraising strategy, which builds on StreetVet’s strengths and maximises income for the charity.

• Deliver an integrated fundraising programme, which includes corporate partnerships, individual giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, legacies, community and events.

• Ensure all fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR and relevant fundraising regulation and that all data is accurate and maintained efficiently.

• Work with colleagues across StreetVet to proactively identify fundraising opportunities in line with our ethical fundraising policy and procedures, prioritising relationships where our values are aligned and we can achieve the biggest positive net gain for the human/animal bond and animal welfare.

• To maintain and develop the donor CRM platform including building supporter journeys to enhance donor experiences and maximise income for the charity.

• Work with the Head of Marketing to ensure that all opportunities to promote StreetVet and develop our fundraising and supporter engagement experiences are explored and maximised.

• Manage all aspects of finance and reporting relating to fundraising, including annual budgets, monthly reporting and re-forecasting. Provide monthly reports and updates on all fundraising activities and income streams

• Work with the Head of Marketing, internal colleagues and external stakeholders to create impactful storytelling and supporter engagement opportunities to maximise revenue streams.

ActionAid UK is looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to helm our Legacy & In Memory Fundraising programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to lead innovative campaigns that will strengthen ActionAid UK’s mission to support women and girls living in poverty.

In this role, you will drive the development and execution of a forward-thinking strategy that ensures the growth of our legacy income for years to come. You’ll have the freedom to innovate, explore new channels, and design creative campaigns that resonate deeply with our supporters. Your work will be aligned with ActionAid’s commitment to feminist principles and anti-racism, shaping a fundraising programme that champions equity and inclusivity.

There are exciting times ahead as we finalise our Legacy and In Memory strategy through 2025 and craft a new roadmap for the future. Collaborating with Smee and Ford, we are diving deep into strategic planning sessions fuelled by crucial  data insights, with a strong emphasis on enhancing our digital marketing strategy.

In parallel, we are fully engaged in advancing our CRM development project and fostering cross-federation collaborations. Additionally, we are in the process of creating a new legacy propensity model to drive impactful decision-making. Utilising valuable insights, we are shaping a compelling business case for introducing a new in-memory fundraising product, such as a tribute fund platform. 

Moreover, in close partnership with our Legacy Case Administration Specialist, we are designing an extensive Scheme of Delegation for legacy case administration at AAUK.

As a key member of the Public Fundraising team, you’ll lead and inspire your team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional results. Your role will involve managing budgets, monitoring trends, and overseeing the execution of impactful stewardship campaigns. With collaboration at the heart of ActionAid, you’ll work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure a unified approach to supporter engagement and operational success.

About the role

We are seeking a Learning and Development Manager to work with the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development to develop an ambitious learning and development strategy for Emmaus UK.

As a hands-on Learning & Development Manager, you will play a critical role in developing the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of employees, companions, volunteers and trustees across the Emmaus Federation and within Emmaus UK.

Your primary focus will be on developing and delivering effective learning interventions, programs and initiatives that align with the goals of Emmaus and support the growth and development of its people.

You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and development of employees, companions, volunteers and trustees, contributing to a positive learning culture, and supporting the overall success of the federation. Your role will involve supporting the development and delivery of strategic plans, programme design and implementation, stakeholder management, and continuous evaluation and improvement of learning initiatives.

This role is home-based, with some travel required across the UK.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a high-performing Learning and Development Manager, with experience working in a learning and development role, including experience of delivering training in-person and online to a range of stakeholders.

The successful applicant will be able to deliver effective and engaging learning and development programmes and will have experience of identifying and analysing learning and development needs, developing relevant approaches and evaluating effectiveness, developing a strong culture of continuous improvement across Emmaus UK and the wider federation.

Managed by the Head of Major Giving and working closely with our existing Trusts Manager, you will take a leading role in identifying new trust and foundation opportunities for Street League. You will develop new trust and foundation relationships, growing Street League’s income through compelling proposals. You will also manage a portfolio of existing trust and foundation supporters, building strong relationships and enabling our donors to see first-hand the difference their support is making.

Salary: £40,016
