Summary

The role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the Philanthropy and Partnerships team at Diabetes UK. With more people living with diabetes and millions more at risk of developing Type 2, our work has never been more needed. You will lead on prospect research and pipeline management across the Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) team, developing a clear strategy that focuses on sourcing prospective donors to fund key priority projects. You will be the overall stewardship lead for the team, overseeing and enabling excellent stewardship - including the creation of materials and delivery of events. You will lead on ensuring compliance with fundraising best practice and will introduce new processes to enhance our efficiency and impact as team. You will lead a function that offers critical expertise and resource to drive income growth, now and in the future.

Main Responsibilities

In this role you will:

• Act as the strategic lead for prospecting and data and information management that underpins all of the Philanthropy and Partnerships teams activities working closely with external partners and internal stakeholders.
• Design and implement innovative and data driven strategies for prospect research, moves management, partnership approval and pipeline development
• Develop and deliver an exceptional stewardship programme, encompassing donor communications, events and impact reporting
• Evaluate and provide critical analysis of fundraising and prospecting activity to deliver actionable insight, process innovation and project management
• Line manage a small team focussing on donor communications, events and prospect research
• You will also be responsible for motivating a small team and actively engage with the wider philanthropy and partnerships team, other directorates and external audiences to maximise opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Job Summary

This role is an expansion of our employment pathway and will be our first dedicated employment coach for our students.

PiP has developed a unique reputation for our experience and quality of employment support for adults with learning disabilities. This has led to an increased number of referrals with a focus on employment, an expansion of our in-house social enterprise capacity, and more employers keen to work alongside us to diversify their staff base.

PiP is keen to respond to and meet this demand. This role for us is the next step in doing so, allowing us to increase our job coaching capacity and providing more dedicated resource for students on their employment journey. As to date our coaching has been delivered across our existing staff team.

Campaign Delivery

• Production: Oversee and support the production of marketing campaign resources such as copy and media ensuring the final execution meets our charity partners brand requirements and delivers the best possible results.
• Media Buying and Search Engine Optimisation: Oversee and support the delivery of paid social media campaigns with significant budgets working across a variety of channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (Twitter), and more. Develop and execute SEO strategies.
• Campaign Optimisation: Continuously monitor campaign KPIs, adjusting strategies as needed to maximise ROAS and campaign effectiveness.

Team Leadership and Development

• Mentorship and Team Support: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in digital marketing practices. Lead on recruitment and resource management of both permanent staff and freelance contributors to build a strong marketing team capable of delivering exceptional results.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Customer Success, Stewardship, Supporter Journeys and Product to ensure cohesive and successful campaign delivery.

Skills and Knowledge

The Philanthropy Events Manager will be responsible for planning and implementing strategic fundraising events in support of Starlight’s philanthropy and fundraising strategy. You will have a strategic focus on driving an impactful events programme and supporting donor relationship strategies with the Head of Philanthropy & Events.

You’ll be an experienced fundraiser, creating special moments and opportunities for guests to connect with the importance of the work of Starlight. It will be second nature to you to control costs and maximise income, while creating unparalleled guest experiences.

You’ll love meeting people, making connections and have excellent interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills. You’ll thrive on working across a number of projects and be able to prioritise your workload and manage your time effectively. Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity to take on an exciting role within the Humanitarian Team of the Programme & Policy Department/Programme Management Team.

We are looking for someone with a good understanding of policies and practices managing projects with the FCDO and DEC. A good grasp of programme and financial management combined with an ability to provide distance support to Country Offices and partners.

The Humanitarian Programme Manager is responsible for the overall management for a portfolio of programmes across the programme management lifecycle from the contracting stage to close out. Specific areas of responsibilities include programme quality, accountability, relationship management, impact reporting and knowledge management, compliance and risk management.
