Key Responsibilities:

As Conference and Events Officer, you'll support the planning and delivery of a wide range of events. You'll be involved in the full event cycle - from logistics and registration to on-the-day coordination and post-event evaluation.

• Project lead on planning, coordination and delivery of designated physical, hybrid and virtual events
• Oversee effective and accurate set up and maintenance of event registration platforms, ensuring a smooth attendee experience
• Lead on venue visits and support with venue and stakeholder discussions
• Proactively champion accessibility and inclusion across all events to ensure equitable participation
• Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to support collaborative planning
• Support event marketing, including webpage content and digital promotions
• Take ownership of event logistic tasks assigned by the Conference and Events Manager
• Represent the team at stakeholder meetings where required
• Work with colleagues including the Symposium Event Manager and Celebrity Relations & Partnerships Manager to deliver key event logistics

About You:

You'll bring experience of supporting events and have a proactive and organised approach. The Conference and Events Officer role requires someone who is confident, adaptable, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.

• Experience delivering in-person, hybrid and virtual events

• Able to travel and transport event materials when needed
• Willingness to work outside standard hours and stay overnight occasionally

Global Campaigns Officer - Health

You will also keep the ‘engine’ of the global campaigns team by ensuring key working group and decision-making meetings are scheduled and internal communications compiled. You’ll also:  

• Be an active member of specific campaign working groups and project teams, adding value by bringing your insights, ideas and solutions. 
• Work alongside a number of country offices to support the delivery of their campaign plans, alongside other colleagues.  
• Build excellent working relationships with country teams, federation member teams and others responsible for delivery of their campaigns.  
• Support the Head of Campaigns and Senior Campaigner by tracking progress and engagement across country offices - documenting this in the campaign project plan.  
• Maintain key tools that support the operation of the campaign, including a contact management system – that tracks engagement with decision makers and key influencers – and the campaign calendar. 
• Provide administrative support relating to WaterAid’s global campaigns, including scheduling key meetings, coordinating feedback processes and taking minutes.  
• Develop communications tools, resources and presentations that will aid the delivery of the campaign, liaising with relevant internal stakeholders.  

Requirements

You will be a self-starter, a great team player, a confident cross-cultural communicator and have strong project management skills.  

To be successful, you’ll need:  

• Past background in campaigning, with an ability to evidence skills in public mobilisation (such as utilising communications, events, stunts, social media & other tactics to get the public behind your campaign).  
• Experience of working on complex multi-stakeholder projects related to public campaigning/ advocacy/influencing. 
• Excellent digital communication skills including social media and working virtually, as well as Microsoft Office (including Teams, Word, Excel and Powerpoint).   
• Strong commitment to working in partnership with others in a collaborative and equitable way.  

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have: 

• Experience working with colleagues in different country contexts.  
• Previous experience working with or leading groups of grassroots or community campaigners

Job Information

As Data Programme Manager, you’ll use your project and programme management skills to successfully deliver projects which improve Hospice UK’s data capabilities. You don’t need to have technical data skills, but you’ll need to be able to guide technical colleagues and third-party IT and data providers.

Your main project will produce a new Member Data Portal, enabling over 200 member hospices to submit data and view insights and analysis that informs their service offer, whilst also providing a national view of hospice care that Hospice UK will use to support member hospices with national campaigning and fundraising.

Alongside this, you will lead data projects that improve our internal performance management. This will involve working with colleagues to gather requirements and develop reporting that supports effective decision making, developing new policies and procedures, and providing training.

Excellent stakeholder management skills will be key to your success. Working with representatives from our member hospices will be vital to the success of the Member Data Portal project. Internally, you’ll collaborate with colleagues at all levels, including the ICT and Data team who will provide technical expertise, and senior managers who will be customers for many of the projects. You’ll also work with external suppliers of technical products and services, including carrying out procurements where needed.

You’ll have great project management skills, which means you’ll be organised, structured and a pragmatic problem solver. Ideally, you’ll have experience of delivering technology, digital or data projects.

About the role

This is a pivotal role within individual giving. Helping to plan and develop fundraising strategy and budget management, as well as being responsible for delivering campaigns of significant scale and generating income both now and for the future.

As part of the team generating £15 million per annum, the successful candidate will be responsible for acquisition and retention communications that talk to thousands of individuals. In addition, building relationships with supporters across a wide range of marketing channels (including face-to-face, DRTV, direct mail, digital) and different activities, and driving vital income to support the charity’s research and care objectives.

With a large range of activity coming up, individual giving income growing strongly, and investment secured for the future, this is an exciting time to join and contribute to a passionate, experienced and effective team.

About you

You’ll have good experience of running direct marketing activity to generate income, working with suppliers and at scale to solicit funds from tens of thousands of supporters.

A well organised person with excellent communication skills, you’ll be managing relationships with key external agencies and in house stakeholders to deliver complex, multi-faceted campaigns while closely monitoring and managing significant expenditure budgets. You’ll also have a real focus on monitoring key campaign metrics to optimise performance.

Working across email, online, telemarketing, direct mail, door to door and private site, you’ll understand supporter motivations, and how to increase supporter engagement. Testing and evolving our campaigns to best fit what works for our supporters and ensuring that our brand ethos is at the heart of all communications.

Pay and conditions

• The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week).
• The salary for the role will be £25,750 – £29,147 per year (starting salary will depend on skills and experience).

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• Be responsible for curating CSE's social media content calendar. With support from digital comms manager, produce engaging content and ensure CSE’s social channels reflect our strategic goals.
• Create engaging multimedia digital content for websites, social media and our e-newsletter including written copy (blogs, news stories, content pages), video, and graphics using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Lead on producing video content to promote CSE’s work, including planning, filming, and editing content using Premier Pro.
• Maintain CSE’s video library, including our internal folders, processes, and YouTube channel.
• Support the Senior Communications and Brand Manager to develop CSE’s suite of branded content. This includes creating branded templates for colleagues to use as well as designing digital and print materials for projects.
• With support from the wider comms team, ensure our online presence including website, social media, email marketing and digital advertising reflects strategic goals.
• Support the day-to-day management of CSE’s website, including uploading and editing content.
• Support the digital communications manager with digital channel optimisation including PPC, SEO, social media (paid and organic) as well as re-designing pages to enhance user experience (UX).
• Commission external videographers and photographers when appropriate, dictated by project and business needs.
• Responsible for producing CSE’s monthly e-news with support from the comms team to ensure CSE’s key work is promoted to external stakeholders.
• Regularly track digital metrics and analyse performance data to optimise messaging and strategies and responsibility for monthly reporting.

Essential attributes for this role include:
