• Work with the Head of Workforce Development and Training and Workforce Project Officers to plan and agree deliverable programmes of work over the college year.
• Oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of workforce development initiatives, ensuring alignment with RCR objectives.
• Undertake market research to evaluate the viability of proposed new workforce initiatives, targeting those with the greatest impact and reach.
• Establish and oversee necessary quality assurance mechanisms for workforce and training programmes.

The Jewish Museum London has undergone substantial positive change over the past year, moving out of our Camden site and moving to a ‘Museum without Walls’ model. The Associate Director of Local Fundraising is a senior role within the Income, Innovation and Engagement directorate; a highly ambitious and professional team which is working to grow income and strengthen the organisation’s voice across the UK as the leading end of life care charity in the UK. Marie Curie has ambitious financial growth targets and needs to drive net contribution, engagement and awareness if they are to achieve their fundraising ambitions and subsequently their service growth goals.

The primary focus of the role is to maximise the net contribution from local fundraising but also to  drive community awareness and engagement with Marie Curie.  This is a key role for Marie Curie, responsible for managing a team of over 100 people and having responsibility for over £20 million Income, the recruitment of legacy prospects, the delivery of fundraising events and the strategic approach of supporter facing volunteers.

The Fundraising teams based in communities across the UK are responsible for raising money, driving legacy sign ups, building event participation and profit and growing awareness and engagement of the need for and impact of the charity’s work amongst supporters and people who have the potential to support Marie Curie.  With all local relationships managed by this role’s teams, the post will ensure that supporters have a connected, seamless experience.

The ideal candidate will have senior leadership experience in a fundraising environment with a successful track record in increasing voluntary income or revenue. They will also have experience in developing both annual operational and three-year strategic plans, developing creative and innovative solutions and digital marketing and in working with working with volunteers and engaging local communities. This will be combined with a proven track record in managing large high-performing, geographically dispersed teams.

The Community Engagement Manager will specialise in growing, diversifying, and supporting our community engagement programmes.

The role will develop, manage and deliver high quality programmes by supporting community organisers and community-researcher partnerships. This will include programmes focusing on community engagement with science and research, as well as participatory grant making.

Key responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role are:

• increase opportunities for those underrepresented in science and research to engage with our programmes,

• increase community voice and representation in the science engagement, research and innovation sectors.

In addition, the post-holder will be expected to:

• Support the Head of Community Engagement to proactively strengthen the organisation’s profile and reputation among external partners and stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Head of Community Engagement, other managers and teams (particularly The Ideas Fund) to develop new programmes and improve existing ones and share best practice in community engagement across the organisation and with the wider sector.
• Support with writing funding bids that lead to the growth of the community engagement portfolio.
• Seek meaningful feedback from the communities that will be affected by planned activities (e.g. underserved audiences).
• Other duties as reasonably required by the line manager.

The Development Coordinator is a new role created to enable the Worthing Theatres & Museum Development team to raise crucial funds that will support the organisation in achieving its ambitious goals.

WTM has recently undergone a significant fundraising review and a new strategy is now in place. This strategy reflects the organisation’s need to increase fundraised income over the next 3 years (2024 - 2027) to meet its ambitious creative and capital plans to deliver on its mission to offer transformative creative experiences for the community of Worthing.

The postholder will work closely with the Head of Development and Development Manager to deliver the ambitious fundraising strategy for WTM. They will be responsible for raising funds of up to £10,000 per application from primarily Trusts and Foundations and some local corporate partners, and supporting the team with operational tasks including financial processes, events and communications.

Main Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

Fundraising and Relationship Management

● Manage relationships with Trust and Foundation funders giving up to £10,000 per year including ongoing donor stewardship, reporting writing, crediting etc.

● Secure new income by applying for grants and funding of up to £10,000 to support a range of WTM projects from Trust and Foundations and from local businesses including researching trusts and businesses, identifying suitable projects within the WTM portfolio to apply for, writing bids etc.

Development Operations and Support

● Lead on supporter crediting for the department ensuring that all supporters are acknowledged in relevant digital and print materials across the year.

● Act as day-to-day point of contact for the Development team’s use of the Spektrix database ensuring best practice.

● Work with the Finance team to monitor Development income on a monthly basis and report back to the Head of Development and Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

During the period of cover, some of the key responsibilities include:  

Governance & Strategic Leadership 

• Providing oversight of CAFOD’s Governance work & assisting in the further development and funding of CAFOD’s governance.

World Cancer Research Fund champions the latest and most authoritative scientific research from around the world on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity, so that we can empower people to make informed lifestyle choices to reduce their cancer risk.

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Director who will be responsible for the work of the charity within the UK. The Director will be the strategic and day to day leader of the UK organisation and will also work hands-on not only with his/her direct reports but also all teams in the office. We are seeking a leader who can take the UK charity’s fundraising to new heights; thus, this is a particularly important focus area.

The role will be directly overseeing the World Cancer Research Fund UK’s Fundraising and Health Information Departments. You will report to the CEO and work in partnership with the UK CEO and other senior executives in updating and implementing the organisation’s strategy and objectives. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of directing and leading a similar sized UK philanthropic organisation (or a fundraising team within a larger charity), including writing and implementing strategies and evaluating outcomes. You will have proven experience of delivering fundraising objectives as well as a strong track record in communications and up to date knowledge of social media and digital strategies. Substantial experience of management of teams at both strategic and tactical level including developing skills, abilities, performance management and confidence in staff is required as are high level speaking skills.

Brain Tumour Research is offering a fantastic opportunity for an individual to join a focused and ambitious charity, as Charity Events Manager. The Charity Events Manager will play a vital role in planning, organising and executing fundraising events that meet the strategic goals of the charity.

Charity Events Manager
Location: Head office in Milton Keynes – hybrid working (minimum of 3 days in the office)
Salary: £43,500 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term Contract – to be reviewed 30th June 2025
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

About the Role

The Charity Events Manager is responsible for planning, organising, and executing fundraising events that meet the strategic goals of the charity. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and a passion for philanthropy. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, volunteers, donors, and external partners to ensure the success of each event.

About You

Are you someone who is creative, strategic with evidence of project management meeting financial target? Are you target driven, aspirational and enjoy a challenge?

Do you have the following:

• Minimum three to five years experience in event planning, fundraising or a related field
• Creativity and innovation: the ability to think outside the box and develop unique event concepts

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as an Individual Giving Manager, a new role which will grow our income from Individual Giving (including donations, appeals, regular giving, gift aid, in-memory giving and legacies/gifts in wills), across a range of in-person, print and digital channels and campaigns.

The successful candidate will lead and develop the individual giving and legacy team to deliver on specific income targets through a range of activities and develop our Gifts in Wills and In Memory giving opportunities as well as our Mid-and High Level Giving Programmes.

They will also work with the Supporter Care Manager to deliver exceptional supporter care, ensuring that our donors and supporters feel valued and engaged.

Candidates will have previous experiences of working in a fundraising or sales and marketing environment and a proven track record of preparing successful campaigns and programmes of activity.

About the role

You'll be instrumental in ensuring Claire House remains a legacy confident charity.

Taking the lead on the Legacy (Gifts in Wills) and In Memory strategy, you'll make sure supporter journeys, audience insight and effective targeting are always front and centre, by initiating impactful marketing campaigns across a variety of channels.

The nuts and bolts of the job:

• Develop and implement a sector-leading legacy and in-memory fundraising strategy.
• Build relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders, creating legacy leads and converting to legators.
• Be an active member of Fundraising Team Leaders, working collaboratively with colleagues to optimise legacy giving opportunities.
• Utilise a full range of marketing platforms and events.
• Develop key messages and tools to enable staff to integrate legacies into their everyday conversations with supporters.

What you'll need to bring to the role

You'll definitely need proven experience and a successful track record in a strategic legacy fundraising role, including the creation, development and implementation of fundraising plans.

We'd also love to see you showcasing the following skills, attributes and behaviours:

• Ability to motivate, champion and nurture, up and down the line.
• Excellent relationship management, marketing and programme delivery skills.
• Good head for numbers and budgets, able to forecast and communicate complex financial information.
