About the role

As an Experienced Practitioner, you will provide direct support and care for our young people who have complex emotional and mental health difficulties (such as trauma and loss) and can struggle to regulate their emotions. Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at developing authentic relationships with our young people (aged 16 – 24 years old), you will also have responsibility for making sure our residents are safe, providing support, liaison with other professionals and completion of support documents to record information.

Throughout the Waking Night shift, you will have the additional support of an on-call manager should there be any emergencies. Further to this, you will be involved in monthly team meetings and receive monthly supervision.

Location

Our locations cover: North Kensington (W10), Camden (NW3) and Lewisham (SE13)

About the role

This is your opportunity to play a big part in the day-to-day running of our busy press office, and a central role in developing both proactive and reactive media strands. As well as engaging with senior management and journalists on a daily basis, we’ll rely on you to deputise for the Head of Media when needed, and to provide invaluable support on reputational and crisis communications. Planning strategically vital campaigns – including our Winter Appeal, acting as reputational gatekeeper, and contributing to the management and ongoing development of the media team – are just some aspects of this challenging, high reward role that will see you thrive.

Role specifics

Creative, results driven, and politically savvy, you are comfortable with leading change and initiating action even under difficult circumstances. You are an excellent writer and totally at home with translating complex research and policy into pithy soundbites and key messages – a skill you’ll be eager to share with your colleagues who want to learn from a pro.

You don’t just sit back and contemplate. You spot risks and opportunities, and challenge when you need to. Crucially, you already have senior level experience of public relations/press management, ideally gained at a charity/think tank/political party/PR agency or working as a journalist. As a result, you understand the inner workings of the media, what makes a story and how to influence the ever-changing news agenda.

You have extensive knowledge of different media channels and tactics, and your communication and relationship building skills are second to none. You’re confident influencing and negotiating at all levels – including with external partners, including handling crisis communications with diligence and sensitivity.

When it comes to empowering your line recruits and colleagues to deliver to the highest standard, your approachability and expertise all come to the fore. Finally, while prior knowledge of housing and homelessness isn’t a must have, you’ll need a passion for social justice. As the Sales and Partnership Lead within the RCR Learning team, you will be instrumental in securing additional income for the College through sponsorship and exhibition partnerships. Your primary focus will be on achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional service to expand our network of long-term partners.

To take responsibility for the co-ordination, organisation of and entries to all public examinations across Inscape House School. To ensure Inscape House School adhere to the legal framework for the Joint Council for Qualifications and for all examination bodies

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week (Part time flexible working maybe be considered)

Working Weeks: 43 Weeks

Location: Inscape House School, Cheadle, Stockport

Reports to : Deputy Head of Upper School 

Responsibilities include but are not exhaustive;

• To have full responsibility for the organisation and supervision of the school and extended services as an examination centre, ensuring adequate security and the adherence to appropriate examination board regulations and routines.
• To timetable all external and internal examinations.  
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of entries to examination bodies.
• To oversee correspondence with curriculum areas and examination boards.
• Deliver training on invigilation and facilitation of access arrangements.
• Actively engage in training sessions, meetings and other directed tasks, to support the school’s priorities and to ensure their own professional development.
• Attend staff meetings and planning meetings when required.
• Report any safeguarding concerns to the Senior Designated Person.
• Adhere to all safeguarding policies, practices and expectations including online safety.
• Support the safe arrival and departure of the children and young people to and from school on LA or parental transport

About You;

• Recent Exams Officer Training.
• Experience of working as an Exams Officer.
• Experience of JCQ inspections in relation to delivery of exams and access arrangements.
• Experience of exam timetabling and facilitating access arrangements.
• The ability to keep records in an orderly fashion and prioritise competing tasks within specified time constraints
• Flexibility in dealing with changing circumstances. 
• A proficient level of spoken and written English.
• Evidence of recent relevant professional development.
• An understanding of the JCQ regulations for delivering examinations and for access arrangements.
• Strong personal resilience.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Digital Acquisition Executive to join our growing Individual Giving Team within Public Fundraising at Prostate Cancer Research. This is a pivotal new role, offering huge potential to shape the future of IG at PCR and capitalise fully on our exciting growth trajectory. 

The last 12 months have seen significant transformation within our IG fundraising, with our regular giving base more than trebling. Building on this momentum, and campaigns such as last year's successful prostate cancer screening petition and our increased campaigning and public relations footprint. We are committed to strong investment in supporter experience and a genuine relationship-based approach to fundraising, ensuring all our supporters feel valued and exceptionally well-cared for. Recent positive media opportunities have further underscored our potential for growth. 

This role will be instrumental in driving continued expansion through digital channels, including paid social and email, with significant scope to identify and implement new, innovative, or novel acquisition strategies. You will be key to growing our supporter base and maximising their lifetime value through engaging digital stewardship and carefully crafted supporter journeys. Lead generation and conversion, cross-selling, and the development and management of these journeys will all be significant aspects of this role. Key Responsibilities  

Digital Acquisition and Fundraising 

• Develop and implement acquisition campaigns and activity to attract new supporters through social platforms, both paid and unpaid, search engine advertising, and email marketing. As well as novel and innovative platforms and opportunities as identified.

• Analyse metrics and data, reporting on KPI’s, budget and spend, and work to constantly test and optimise campaigns to exceed targets and improve return on advertisement spend / return on investment.

• Ensure regular monitoring of performance across all activities and make necessary adjustments to maximise net income opportunities.

• Analyse and share the results of campaign activity. 

• Support forecasting and budget planning on Digital marketing activities within the IG budget.

• Develop and execute digital campaigns, including where the ultimate conversion is via traditional channels such as telephone or mail, taking an integrated approach, to acquire and convert new supporters. 

• Create and optimise content and digital journeys to maximise conversions and build loyalty. This will include elements of creative fundraising writing, concepting and messaging development, and some visual design development.

• Generate and utilise insight within digital campaigns to improve results.

• Support the organisation in developing the website to be optimised for fundraising, make recommendations to improve performance, optimise content and landing pages, recommend and make the most of on-site technologies and plugins that can help drive our performance. 

• Stay abreast of emerging digital trends and technologies, ensuring our online fundraising efforts remain innovative and effective. 

Stewardship and Supporter Experience 

• Maintain a good level of understanding of our supporters' behaviours and motivations to create and implement stewardship content and journeys, feedback and respond to queries and enquiries relevant to IG activity.

• Work with the team to ensure all supporters are thanked and updated in an appropriate and timely manner and all interactions and activities are in line with our supporter promise. 

• Ensure supporter journeys are segmented and personalised wherever possible.

• Cultivate deeper engagement with supporters beyond transactional interactions, exploring opportunities for meaningful dialogue, feedback mechanisms, and a sense of community. 

• Develop and deliver personalised relationship-building communications and initiatives that recognise supporter loyalty and deepen their connection to the impact of their support. 

• Work with the wider PCR team to maximise opportunities for fundraising and patient impact including via cross selling with different audiences.

• Develop engaging supporter communications and assets for all channels, for example email headers, landing pages, social ads – which drive action and deepen engagement with the cause.

Collaboration and Development  

• Work with Agile principles in mind, together with the IG Team and collaborating colleagues across the organisation, to plan and deliver high quality work.

• Build key relationships across teams within and outside Public Fundraising to achieve successful fundraising outcomes, improving both supporter & patient perceptions of PCR.

• As required, represent PCR externally, promoting our work and building long-term relationships with stakeholders and supporters. 

• Build strong relationships with partners, freelancers and consultants, agencies, and suppliers as needed to support the delivery of individual giving activity.

• Maintain curiosity and a desire for learning and professional development, be responsible for developing your skillset and knowledge to improve in the role and further PCR’s mission.

Database and Compliance 

• Hold a good working knowledge of key aspects of data protection law including GDPR and PECR, and the Fundraising Code of Practice.

• Work with our tools and seek to improve knowledge and use of these, including but not limited to Access CRM, Fundraise Up, Google Analytics 4 (G4A) and MailChimp.

• Adhere to all PCR policies and abide by the code of conduct and other related guidance in the PCR Staff Handbook. 

Skills and Competencies 

Our ideal candidate would have the following: 

• Proven experience in digital acquisition for charity or social cause, or in paid digital marketing or advertising in commercial roles. With demonstrable campaign management experience and expertise setting up and managing campaigns in Meta business suite, Google paid advertising and email marketing.

• Evidence of leading successful digital / integrated digital campaigns leading to significant sales/income/lead generation. 

• The ability to monitor and manage income and expenditure against targets as well as forecast and report on digital campaigns across all channels. 

• Knowledge and experience of trends and dynamics in digital fundraising (ideally), including audience identification and optimisation strategies including with new technologies like AI tools. 

• Experience and a track record of working on landing page optimisation and on-site conversion funnel improvements.

• A good understanding of individual giving best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.

• The ability to motivate and inspire audiences through content and creative writing and storytelling for digital channels.

• Experience moderating digital campaigns or working with others to do so (knowledge of issues and best practice) and providing excellent supporter/customer support as needed.

• A strong desire to provide excellent supporter experience and customer journeys to everyone who encounters our campaigns and communications or who gets in touch with us directly.

• A collaborative and innovative mindset with a desire to test, learn and work with stakeholders cross-functionally including internal stakeholders and external consultants or agencies, to develop new activities and campaigns, and achieve strategic goals.

• Experience working within Agile project management would be beneficial. 

• Experience collecting content from patients, beneficiaries, or key subject matter experts in the form of written interviews, photos and/or video, and developing this into marketing assets would be desirable.

• Working closely with the National Director/CEO on planning for the future wind-up of the entity, providing all financial management, reporting and compliance resources as required in the interim. 

• Working with the Director of Programme Delivery, provide financial resource and support to the management of the former GB Homes asset portfolio, developing appropriate reporting mechanisms that provide data which can be included into the combined budgeting and reporting of Habitat GB 

• Accountable for integration and ongoing provision of the operational requirements of the GB Homes subsidiary, including insurance, technology, and communications requirements. 

Fundraising & Programmes support: 

• Work closely with the Directors of Fundraising & Partnerships, and of Impact & Influence to set ambitious and achievable targets across restricted and unrestricted fundraising, track performance, and ensure high quality forecasting, reporting and budget management. 

• Be responsible for the development and oversight of policies, protocols and systems required for restricted fund management which align with Habitat for Humanity International and external donor requirements. 

• Work collaboratively across Habitat GB to agree service delivery expectations and ensure the timely provision of relevant inputs from the Finance, Operations & Compliance team across partnership and programme cycles.  For example, audit or financial reporting requirements from donors, up to date policies, review of proposal documents, grants and contract agreements. 

• Work closely with the Directors of Programme Delivery & Retail to ensure Habitat GB has the specialist knowledge and financial skills relevant to our diverse types of programmes, including a new and growing retail operation, as well as construction project delivery. 

Risk Management and Compliance: 

• Lead on the development and maintenance of the organisational Risk Register, being responsible for the management and mitigation of financial, regulatory and operational risks and coordinating with others on the reporting and review of other risk areas. 

• Ensure Habitat GB is fully compliant and up to date with all its data protection and insurance requirements and has access to appropriate legal and other expert resources where necessary. 

• Be responsible for technology infrastructure, hardware and the management of outsourced support services. 

People Policies and HR Administration:

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll take the lead on all financial, compliance, operational and people support activities.  This role demands a combination of the hands-on approach needed in a medium-sized charity with the strong people management skills to enable all members of your team to deliver high quality services and to thrive in their roles.

You’ll also be working closely with colleagues across the international Habitat network, so good communication and collaboration skills will be key to success in this role.
