Main purpose and scope of the role:
Parentkind is a national charity working with more than 23,500 Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs), Parent Councils and Schools. We are the voice of parents in policy making.
We are an ambitious organisation and we are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated individual to support our work in Westminster and Whitehall. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of public affairs, advocacy and/or working in a policy environment.

The role will involve:

Duties and key responsibilities
Managing the work of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Parents.
- Developing a plan for the APPG to achieve our ambition of making this one of the most high profile APPGs in Parliament.
- Raising the profile of the APPG for Parents and increasing the number of MPs and peers engaged with its work.
- Organising well attended APPG meetings and events.
- Providing the secretariat to the APPG and working with the Officers to deliver the work of the Group.
Organising events to communicate our research, including roundtables, lunches/dinners and launch events in Westminster.

As a member of the senior leadership team, the Head of Marketing will have management and creative responsibility for marketing communications and promotion, including the mission and worship of the Abbey, installations, events and hospitality, proactively managing the Marketing and Commercial teams to deliver on our strategic plan.
Key responsibilities...
- To develop and deliver a strategic marketing plan for the next five years, and implement promotional activity to raise significantly the Abbey’s profile both regionally and nationally.

For over 900 years Tewkesbury Abbey has been at the heart of the community - as a place of gathering, worship, celebration and remembrance. Down the centuries we have been a Benedictine Abbey, a parish church and a place of refuge in times of flood and war.
Today the Abbey is a thriving parish church with hundreds coming here to worship each week, drawn by our commitment to daily prayer and our traditional choral worship. We are a ‘Major Church’ within the Church of England, and we are larger than fourteen of our country’s cathedrals. We are also a venue for concerts, large civic events, fairs and festivals working in partnership with colleagues throughout the region, the Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury Cultural Consortium and Gloucester Cathedral.
Like many heritage assets within the UK, COVID and lockdown presented us with serious challenges to our financial sustainability. We are now responding to those challenges with ambitious plans to double our visitor income and numbers within five years. These plans have been agreed and funded by our Parochial Church Council and are being overseen by our trading arm Tewkesbury Abbey Limited.
We applied for and won a £250,000 grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which will among other projects increase our marketing activity and visitor engagement, including the appointment of a marketing assistant, a volunteers officer and a project manager to oversee the scoping of future capital development plans, and testing activities such as entry by donation. We hope that this will lead to one or more larger-scale capital bids which could lead to a longer-term funding relationship to secure the Abbey as a thriving venue, unique heritage asset and global visitor destination.
In the past year we have hosted Luke Jerram’s ‘Gaia’ installation which was visited by over 20,000 people from across the region, the Luxmuralis immersive projection ‘Space’ and ‘The Longest Yarn’, a commemorative exhibition of knitted D-Day history, followed by Peter Walker’s ‘Peace Doves’ installation. Alongside these we also hosted environmental events, a schools programme, concerts and talks in addition to our core business of of worship and festive services.
As Head of Marketing you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the future plans and development of the Abbey. You will be in at the start and will oversee the growth of your team as we deliver on these plans - a unique opportunity for a creative marketing professional. About The Murray Parish Trust
Children with a serious illness are three times more likely to struggle with their mental health. Their childhoods are overshadowed by coming to terms with diagnosis, hospital stays, treatment, feeling different from friends or managing how their illness affects daily life. Many of them struggle with severe anxiety and depression, experiencing isolation and trauma during their journey. These children are at much higher risk of long-term mental health difficulties that are more complex and difficult to treat, on top of living with often complex medical needs.
Actors Jim Murray and Sarah Parish’s first daughter, Ella-Jayne, was born with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome in 2009 and spent half her short life in paediatric intensive care, Southampton Children’s Hospital. Ella-Jayne died, at home, just eight months old. After they recovered from the immediate horror, Jim and Sarah felt an overwhelming drive to help other children and families and founded The Murray Parish Trust in 2014. They were awarded MBE’s in the King’s New Years Honours 2025 for services to seriously ill children and their families.
Our charity delivers projects that support the mental health of seriously ill children and their families. We improve access to specialist, imaginative and empowering support, at the earliest possible moment, to prevent long-term mental health difficulties. We do this by delivering a vast range of projects in children’s hospitals, hospices and other health or community settings across the UK. These include drama, dance, art, nature and music therapy; bereavement and mortuary suites, distraction equipment that reduces anxiety, sanctuary and quiet rooms; sibling support; counselling and therapy rooms; and psychological support for children/family members.
The role - Head of Public Fundraising and Operations
This is an exciting new chapter for The Murray Parish Trust. Our new Head of Public Fundraising and Operations will work closely with the Board of Trustees and our Head of Philanthropy and Projects to scale our impact and expand reach nationwide. They will play a pivotal role in leading operations and shaping the charity’s future, as well as leading on growing income from community, corporate, individual fundraising, which have been identified as strategic fundraising priorities.
We anticipate time will be split roughly equally between leading public fundraising and operational management. There is some freelance support with marketing, corporate and community fundraising, and volunteer coordination, plus trustee support with events; there is scope to expand the team as income grows. This role will support their work as well as personally deliver public fundraising activity, taking sole responsibility for individual giving and legacies.

Key responsibilities
Fundraising: Work alongside with the Head of Philanthropy and Projects to implement the fundraising strategy, including:
- Delivery of the specific fundraising activity delegated to this role to grow income year on year (individuals, community, corporate, legacies, events), supported by the work of freelancers.
- Strategic oversight of all public fundraising including monitoring, evaluating and reporting to the Board.

Key responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Management
- Develop and implement the charity’s financial strategy to align it to the charity’s main strategy and support long-term goals.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent financial experience.

The Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the finances at Kids Club Kampala. About the role

Job summary
Malaria No More UK is looking to appoint a Head of Strategy & Policy to cover a period of maternity leave starting from end April 2025. This an exciting role that sits at the heart of the organisation and will join at a crucial time in the malaria fight with the Global Fund’s 8th replenishment taking place later this year. The role works across both our UK and International campaign streams, leading the execution and development of research, building strong evidence-based arguments, supporting with integrated advocacy and communications campaign strategies that deliver on the impact as set out in MNMUK’s strategy and providing relevant and up to date expertise on the global health and malaria policy landscape.
The role leads and oversees the implementation of MNMUK’s ‘integrated’ campaigning approach ensuring that MNMUK’s campaigning is built on political opportunity, is technically relevant and is driven by the right evidence and audience insights to engage target public audiences and political leaders behind the malaria fight. The role reports directly to the Executive Director of Advocacy & Strategy and manages a Policy Officer in support of this vital work.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with significant experience of working in a relevant policy or strategy role to deliver change.
Core work will include:
· Lead the effective delivery and execution of our international research project- managing the research consultant and working closely with the international workstream, the media team and external partners to deliver impactful research for advocacy and media in support of the Global fund’s 8th replenishment (May to September 2025)
· Oversee and support the Policy Officer to deliver our UK science report, research and media outputs ahead of the UK’s spending review (May-June 2025)
