We are seeking a dynamic, experienced programme coordinator to lead our Travelling with Confidence grant, engaging and empowering disabled people, promoting independent mobility, using rail and connecting modes. Working with our members and partners you will coordinate and support the delivery of this important programme, helping to ensure it is participatory, empowering, effective and well-evaluated, while sharing learnings and building a lasting legacy.
Responsibilities
Programme coordination, delivery and monitoring and evaluation:
- Ensure good coordination and communication between delivery partners and support their high-quality delivery in line with timeframes and requirements, including via steering group meetings and individual support.
- Offer support, guidance and ideas to our delivery partners to assist their work, helping them to build capacity and confidence and meet their objectives. This includes support to engage with, and draw on the experiences, ideas and voices of disabled people.
- Support delivery partners in establishing co-creation principles and empowering ways of working for their projects, and drawing up theories of change, drawing on good practice and expertise.
- Work with stakeholders at all levels to facilitate positive collaboration and help develop our wider network while supporting project objectives and raising awareness about this work.
- Produce communications content to support project delivery, such as case studies and blogs, and work with our Communications and Policy team to promote the programme, its achievements, and amplify the voices/views/needs of the disabled people engaged.
- Set up and run an accompanying small grant fund (using/adapting our existing processes and systems) for other community rail partnerships/groups to deliver travel confidence initiatives with disabled people. Provide similar support and advice to those grant-funded to that offered to the core delivery partners, in line with their needs.
- Support monitoring, data collection and meaningful evaluation by all core and grant-funded delivery partners, ensuring this is in line with project reporting requirements, and serves our goals around legacy-building and empowering those involved.
- Monitor and review project objectives, troubleshooting any issues in a timely manner.
- Financial management of the grant budget, managing internal (Community Rail Network) budget spend as well as monitoring the delivery partner budgets in partnership with the project leads, ensuring these are in line with agreed grant funding.
Grant administration, reporting and liaison
- Maintain and develop relations with our grant provider, ensuring we meet reporting deadlines and other requirements (such as attendance at progress meetings).
- Work with project partners to agree the data set requirements and outcome parameters for evaluation, and provide suitable reporting tools.
- Completion of grant reports and financial statements, including coordinating and reviewing project delivery data (from project partners).
Evaluation and legacy building
- Produce guidance and tools to support wider delivery across community rail and beyond, working with our member support and communications teams.
- Work with colleagues, members and partners to raise wider awareness about the project and its findings and build a legacy. This includes set up and delivery of a member webinar (with support from the events team) to share project experiences.
Team and partnership working (as relevant and appropriate)
- Contribute to the wider objectives and development of Community Rail Network by sharing project progress and learning and offering advice and input. Work with our member support & development team to help embed lessons from the project and improve our ongoing support for members on rail confidence initiatives and the involvement and empowerment of disabled people.
- Feed into our senior team on strategic insights and ideas emerging from the programme to help us advocate for more inclusive, confident (rail) travel for disabled people.
- Attend, and support, community rail events (internal and external) to develop knowledge and understanding of the movement and its role.
- Contribute to the development of our internal systems (e.g. spreadsheets, CRM) such as by data capturing relevant contacts and details.
- As a member of the Community Rail Network team, assist with more general work as needed.
Skills and competencies
- A proven track record in project management, including coordinating between multiple delivery partners and ensuring project/funding requirements are met, and supporting/overseeing effective monitoring and evaluation.
- Demonstrable experience in supporting community projects, ideally related to inclusion and mobility, including working with disabled people.
- A good understanding of and confidence using community engagement, local communications, project planning and evaluation techniques.
- The ability to collaborate and communicate with community groups and other local partners, draw on their views and expertise, and support them to deliver effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work confidently with stakeholders at all levels and facilitate positive discussion; articulate and assertive, and a great team player.
- A proven ability to bring partners and groups together, develop and maintain mutually-beneficial partnerships, deliver joint activities, and form professional networks.
- Good writing and analysis skills, with the ability to draw on quantitative and qualitative evidence, produce case studies and reports.
- Awareness of accessibility, social mobility and social inclusion issues, and an appreciation of the importance of rail, sustainable travel and mobility to communities and disabled people.

Other information
Location: This post is home-based, but with some travel (including occasional overnight stays) for project meetings, events and external meetings. Applicants will need local access to a train station to enable rail-based travel for work as needed.

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord. They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning. 1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do. Symptoms can include haemorrhages, seizures and other neurological problems. Treatment involves 'wait and see', neurosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery; with no medications currently available.
Cavernoma Alliance UK (CAUK) is a member-led organisation, run by and for those impacted by cavernoma with more information available on our website. We work from a model of empowerment, recognising the value of our members’ lived experience to provide mutual support, improve standards of care and drive research into finding a cure.
Since the charity was founded in 2005 it has grown from a volunteer-led organisation based in Dorchester to a UK wide registered charity that now has 2 part-time permanent staff, looking to increase to 4 Part-time staff (all home-based), 50+ volunteers, and 4,000+ members. About the roles: The Member Support Assistant is responsible for assisting our Volunteer Manager with administration relating to the support of the charity’s 4,000 members and volunteers. This includes offering a professional service to members of CAUK, typically via phone, email, online, chat, or on occasion in person. The role involves supporting the membership and volunteering processes, ensuring all admin is accurate and up to date. Over time the post-holder will be expected to build a good working knowledge of members and volunteers. They will also be expected to develop strong communication skills, including active listening, alongside the ability to multitask, manage time and prioritise.
The Events and Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Charity Manager with the administration of events alongside some general office activities for the charity. AFH has taken a leadership role on advocacy for the ongoing conflict in Gaza and has a long history of being a thought leader on the humanitarian crisis in Syria. In order to help achieve this goal, AFH is recruiting an Advocacy & Policy Manager, where the successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Communications, manage and strengthen AFH’s advocacy campaigns, and develop and build networks to support our advocacy efforts. The Advocacy & Policy Manager will also be the focal point between the organisation and policymakers, in the UK and beyond.
The Advocacy & Policy Manager will advocate the humanitarian needs stemming from the crises in Gaza, Syria, Yemen and other contexts in which the organisation works. They will convey the voice from the ground, to various external audiences, and will build a presence there to promote the organisation’s work, which is rapidly evolving and is entering newer phases.
Your accountabilities as our Advocacy & Policy Manager will include the following:
Building external relations
- Lead on creating and executing an Advocacy strategy and relationship-building plan to ensure AFH is well connected and respected amongst key stakeholders including politicians, policy makers, governing bodies, other NGOs, etc. Regularly seek new opportunities to enhance external relations.
- Represent AFH in advocacy meetings, humanitarian coordination and other forums, conferences, events, and working groups, leading as many as possible.
- Build and maintain AFH’s relationships with influential people and authorities, including politicians and Governing bodies. Facilitate supporting regular and meaningful engagement with them.
- Build and maintain relationships with regional advocacy groups in and around Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other contexts.
- Position AFH as influential in public debates on Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other countries where AFH works, making AFH a resource for journalists and other key stakeholders covering related issues.
- Keep abreast of regional advocacy groups in and around Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other contexts.
Supporting internal stakeholders
- Guide and advise AFH’s head and field offices on advocacy issues and trends.
- Support our field offices with Advocacy capacity building and enhancing business development, partnerships, and institutional funding.
- Support the head office with enhancing business development, partnerships, and institutional funding, through targeted external stakeholder engagement and improving the technical branding of Action For Humanity in the eyes of potential partner institutions.
- Identify advocacy opportunities by working with the wider Communications and Marketing departments in the writing, editing, commissioning and disseminating of press-releases, op-eds, statements etc., to secure coverage of the organisation’s work across the media spectrum.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to create interesting and engaging multimedia content to ensure the organisation’s marketing and brand strategies incorporates our advocacy position.
- Provide analysis to the CEO, Director of Communications and other stakeholders, including inputs and talking points for meetings, as required.
- Promote a principled approach to advocacy, policy and external relations among relevant internal stakeholders, and ensure that external messaging is evidence-based and driven by field realities.
General
- Closely monitor the evolving humanitarian and political context in the Middle East, Asia and Africa, particularly where AFH currently operates, and disseminate written and verbal updates and analysis in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders.
- Produce high quality public and private policy and advocacy materials including letters, briefing notes, position papers, and advocacy reports.
- Build up AFH’s advocacy work in relation to domestic programmes.

Education
- Degree (or equivalent) in relevant field i.e., International Development, International Relations, Public Relations, Economics, Politics.
- Evidence of sector-specific continuous professional development.
Experience
- Strong experience and track record in an advocacy or similar role.
- Experience in building strong relations and networking with key staff within various UN agencies, especially I/NGO, Forums, UN, OCHA meetings and with local ones.

The Role
The Programme Funding Manager provides cross-team support to strengthen the organisation’s funding and budget management functions and ensure the successful delivery of GGF’s grantmaking and other programmatic activities. This includes collaborating with multiple teams within GGF UK and GGF US including the Programmes, Grants Management, Finance and Philanthropic Partnerships teams, to design and implement systems, processes and improvements to ensure high quality budget management and high standards of donor and regulatory compliance across all funded activity.
The role is responsible for the budget management of all GGF UK-funded programmatic activities, working with Programmes colleagues, Advisory Board representatives, donor relationship managers, Finance staff and others to ensure funds are spent appropriately in line with project plans and donor obligations.
The candidate profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have substantial experience in a similar capacity within charitable, environmental, development, social justice, feminist, gender, or human rights organisations, particularly in an international setting. They will be adept at enhancing collaboration across multiple functional teams, including those operating internationally, to ensure effective and compliant funding and budget management, especially with restricted income. The candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in designing, managing, and refining systems and processes for better budget management and donor compliance in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Their experience should include managing large, multi-year programmatic budgets exceeding $5 million and ensuring adherence to donor agreements and regulatory requirements, such as those of the Charity Commission.

The role of the Head of National Services is instrumental in ensuring that we provide innovative support to people affected by poor mental health and mental illness.
It will be responsible for working closely with our Policy and Communications Team around nationally funded projects by Scottish Government and will play a key role in the National Management Team of Change Mental Health. The role will work closely with the Director of Services to develop and work in partnership with a range of different stakeholders to increase the impact of our work and generate new opportunities for the organisation.

What we do
Our Strategy aims to enhance the effectiveness of nutrition policy and programming by improving knowledge, stimulating learning, building evidence and providing support and encouragement to practitioners and decision-makers involved in nutrition and related interventions. Purpose of the role
The Senior Technical Associate role is a key member of the Senior Technical Team at ENN. The post holder will bring extensive skills, expertise and capacity to deliver on a portfolio of our projects, provide strategic and technical direction and leadership, and manage their teams.
Terms and Conditions
· Hours of work: This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) for a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover). We will consider appointing two part-time positions to secure the right technical fit and skillsets.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical
The Senior Technical Associate will manage a portfolio of projects, lead on, and support, project delivery and develop content of technical outputs. This will involve being accountable for quality and timely delivery. The priority areas for this position are:
· Portfolio lead for ENN’s Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IFE) and Management of small and at-risk infants under 6 months and their mothers (MAMI) projects
· Project lead for Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IFE) Project.
· Technical lead for pieces of work/activities within the IFE/MAMI portfolio.
· Senior editorial role in Field Exchange
· Institutional engagement; particularly donors and foundations
Distinguishing role characteristics include:
· Portfolio lead: – Provide oversight of the balance, delivery and directions within the portfolio, managing the portfolio team, and with responsibility for ensuring plans are resourced.

We are recruiting four Workforce Leads to support hands-on recruitment, attraction and the onboarding and training of IPS Employment Specialists and Team Leaders across the country. These will be dedicated, regional roles where you will support the scale up of the IPS workforce in your designated region.
IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health, primary care, and drug and alcohol teams across England. The programme is led by Social Finance in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).
The Workforce Lead will provide specialist support to services embarking on recruitment campaigns, monitor their effectiveness and share learning. They will also provide hands-on support for recruitment efforts and training. This will vary according to the service need, but could include headhunting, sifting CVs, preparing for interviews, shortlisting and training.
The opportunity
The Workforce Leads will play a crucial role in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of the IPS Workforce within their designated regions. They will support the scale up of the IPS workforce by ensuring high-quality recruitment processes, comprehensive training programs, and effective onboarding practices. The Workforce Leads will work closely with IPS Grow Regional Managers, local and national stakeholders, including NHS services, to recruit the IPS workforce needed to achieve high levels of employment outcomes for IPS clients.

Shine has a membership of over 14,000 members living with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus and associated conditions and over 6,500 associated members.
Our Little Stars project for 0–12-year-olds has been established for over 5 years supporting younger members and their families with their diagnosis and beyond. We also have a growing Teen membership known as FIRE (Friendship, Independence, Resilience, Equality) Working alongside our multi skilled, established team, you will be supporting members across all age groups and building on the great foundations already in place.
We are looking for an Early Intervention Project Worker who can cover the South of England, primarily you will be home based, supporting members through phone calls and using online platforms. You will be required to attend clinics, events and meet members one to one where necessary within your allocated area and occasionally across wider areas and nationally.
Purpose of the role

To deliver Shine's Little Stars (funded by The National Lottery Community Fund) project for 0–12-year-olds, supporting early years and younger members with their families, their diagnosis and beyond across the Southern Region. To provide advice, support and guidance to enable people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus to access the correct benefits to become financially stable, the right services to improve their health and well-being, and to better co-ordinate their support and independence through a variety of methods.
