The Veterans’ Foundation, established in 2016, is one of the country’s fastest-growing military charities, with a passion and purpose for improving the lives of those within the armed forces community, by raising funds which are then awarded to organisations that have a real impact on veterans, those currently serving in the armed forces and their families.
To support the organisation on their exciting growth journey, we are seeking a dynamic, creative and innovative individual to step into the role of Chief Executive. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders to build the profile of the organisation, identify and attract new income generating opportunities, and expand our footprint and contributions.
Overview of the Chief Executive Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the Trustees to set, develop and deliver on the strategic priorities of the organisation, focused on increasing their impact and reach.
- Being responsible for overseeing the operational activities of the Veterans Foundation.
- Taking on an ambassadorial role, being the key spokesperson for the organisation, and managing relationships with key external and internal stakeholders such as veterans, donors, Government agencies, and their contractors Bee Ethical.
- Encouraging income generation activity, by cultivating and stewarding relationships with donors, and identifying innovative opportunities to increase funding.
- Overall responsibility for designing, implementing, and evaluating programmes, and services, to ensure they meet the needs of members.
- Providing leadership to the senior management team, encouraging a positive workforce culture, and a high-performing team.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven strategic leadership skills, either within the public or private sector.
- Experience of operational management, including budgetary responsibilities, commercial contract management, and the ability to influence, network, and raise the profile of an organisation.
- An empathetic individual, with an understanding of the challenges that veterans may face including wellbeing, mental health, homelessness, and addiction, and a passion for the purpose of Veterans Foundation.
- Previous exposure to fundraising operations, including diversifying income generation streams, developing relationships with potential donors, and raising the profile of the organisation.

Railway Children is looking for a Supporter Experience Officer to cover maternity leave and be responsible for implementing our supporter engagement strategy.
About you:
The Supporter Engagement Officer is an integral role in the public fundraising and engagement team, continuing to develop our individual giving income streams and ensuring that our supporters feel valued and understand the amazing impact they have.
This is a great role for someone who is equally as comfortable analysing details in data as they are coming up with creative ways to engage our audiences. You’ll have a proven ability to grow income from individual donors while having the supporter’s needs at the heart of every interaction.
The role entails delivering supporter communication journeys across a range of channels and audiences so that we deliver excellent supporter care to all donors ensuring that their relationship with Railway Children is enhanced, their support retained and lifetime value maximised.

Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the strategic direction, financial planning and culture of the organisation, driving Glasgow Life’s vision and strategy to ensure long-term organisational and financial sustainability.
• Leading the delivery of Glasgow Life’s plans to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of citizens and visitors through culture, physical activity and sport.
• Continuing to find innovative ways to grow and diversify Glasgow Life’s income base, optimising its assets and identifying new opportunities for growth, creating a sustainable future for the organisation and the best possible services for Glasgow’s citizens.
• Leading the approach to securing grant funding, public & institutional donations and fundraising activities.
• Supporting the city’s visitor economy and enhancing the city’s reputation as a great place to live, work, learn and visit through the delivery of local, national and international events and the management of world-class collections.
• Building, managing and nurturing highly effective relationships, influencing key stakeholders, partner organisations and other agencies to increase the focus on the impact that culture, physical activity and sport has on community wellbeing as well as economic regeneration, informing both national and international policy.
• Providing strong EDI leadership, ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion principles are embedded across Glasgow Life, and that policies and services reflect the changing needs of Glasgow’s communities and workforce, and that equal opportunity and diversity are celebrated.
• Representing Glasgow Life as part of Glasgow City Council’s Corporate Management Team.
Candidates should be able to evidence a strong track record of successful delivery and experience in a senior strategic leadership role within a complex and large organisation, delivering excellent business results and customer focused services.
We are looking for a dynamic leader with exceptional communication and influencing skills, combined with the ability to manage complex relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
Experience of working in a political environment and strong working knowledge of the challenges facing the public and charitable sectors in Scotland will be highly advantageous.

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (the Trust) is looking for a full-time Senior Marketing Campaigns Officer, 10-month maternity cover.
The Trust’s vision is of a world where bumblebees are thriving and valued by everyone. The Senior Marketing Campaigns Officer will play a key part in inspiring people and organisations to take action for our precious bumblebees to help us achieve this vision. Your primary role will be to oversee and advise on our campaign and marketing work, with a particular focus on major campaigns, including our ongoing ‘Bee the Change’ digital campaign which aims to start new supporters on a journey with the Trust.
You will be well organised and self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow you to convey complex information in a clear and engaging way. You will have experience in design, copywriting, working to brand guidelines and using digital tools, including website editing, evaluation and analytics tools.

This is a full-time post for 35 hours per week. Some overtime work may be required and a flexitime system is in place.
This post will be employed on a fixed term until February 2026 based at the Trust’s office in Stirling/ home-based/ hybrid between the Trust’s office in Stirling and home-working.
