Flint House Police Rehabilitation is a registered Charity offering rehabilitation services to ill or injured serving and retired police officers suffering from a wide variety of physical and mental health conditions. Every year we treat over 3,000 police officers. Located just outside Goring on Thames in our beautiful Flint House and set in 20 acres of ancient woodland, this role will play a crucial role in support our mission and ensure the financial sustainability of the Charity.
Supporting the CFO in the day to day financial management of the Charity and working alongside the Finance Assistant this role combines robust financial management along with payroll operations, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of the Charity’s payroll processes. This generalist role also includes overseeing the production of the monthly management accounts, statutory financial statements, forecast and budgets, quarterly VAT returns, and other statutory returns, including co-ordinating the annual external audit. This role is central to ensuring the Charity’s financial and payroll systems operate seamlessly, maintaining compliance while delivering excellent service to stakeholders.
Principal Accountabilities
Financial Management
- Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts.
- Ensure financial records comply with accepted policies and procedures, and all reporting deadlines are met.
- Prepare financial management reports and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
- Contribute to the planning and production of annual statutory accounts, working closely with external auditors.
Compliance and Taxation
- Oversee statutory returns for VAT, Partial Exemption, and other compliance schemes, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and meeting all deadlines.
- Keep updated with changes in accounting and tax legislation affecting the charity sector, implementing necessary changes as required.
Budgeting and Strategic Analysis
- Manage and support budget and forecast activities, analysing financial operations, including revenue, expenditure trends, and financial commitments.
- Regularly report on key performance indicators and recommend strategies for efficient resource use and process improvement.
Payroll Management
- Prepare and run the monthly payroll process, ensuring deadlines are met, and pay, pensions, and statutory deductions (e.g., tax, NI) are accurate and compliant with regulations.
- Maintain and update SAGE Payroll systems, guaranteeing timely and correct payments to employees and external bodies such as HMRC.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related queries, offering excellent support to employees and stakeholders.
- Regularly review payroll processes to identify and implement improvements, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
System and Process Development
- Support the development and maintenance of finance systems, improving accounting controls and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity.
- Proactively review and enhance processes related to payroll, accounting systems, and internal controls.
Other Responsibilities
- Support the CFO in treasury functions and deputize for them as necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to both finance and non-finance colleagues.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Accountant with a strong background in payroll management.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and ability to develop robust financial models.
- Demonstrated experience in managing monthly payroll processes and handling confidential information appropriately.
- Proficiency in preparing management accounts, financial statements, forecasts, and budgets.
- Strong communication skills to present financial information and deliver training effectively.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial and payroll systems
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
- Familiarity with SAGE Payroll and Sage Line 50 packages.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and governance within the charity sector.
- Previous experience with Direct Debit Schemes, Large Donor Programs, and Gift Aid.

This role would work then as part of a cross-team editorial effort with key stakeholders to create the new webpages, keeping colleagues informed and engaged throughout the project. Once the site goes live, you would help with aftercare and making sure the site gets off to a good start, making any additional edits or new content as needed based on performance and feedback. Towards the end of the contract, post-launch, this role would help to upskill and support selected colleagues in other teams to take more hands-on responsibilities with website content creation and governance as part of a new, decentralised approach.
The ideal candidate will have strong planning, organisational and workflow management skills. They will also have proven experience of creating and adapting user-centred, engaging and successful content for websites – primarily including text, images and graphics, but also video – ensuring output answers its brief, supports brand and strategic objectives, and is fit for purpose, channel and audience.

Resolve Poverty is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to support the growth and development of the organisation as we embark on our four-year strategy.
About the role
This exciting new internal and external facing role will support the realisation of Resolve Poverty’s ambitious four year strategy as the organisation seeks to have impact nationwide.
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be a key member of the senior leadership team, alongside the CEO and Head of Policy. The COO will work closely with the CEO and manage key internal operations and functions’ including Human Resources (liaising with our external HR consultant) , IT and administration. This will include establishing new systems and processes as required and ensuring the smooth delivery of existing ones.
Externally, the COO will oversee Resolve Poverty’s existing programmes, with a remit to grow those programmes and secure funding to pilot new programme initiatives focussed on promoting the financial wellbeing of low income households.
Additionally, the COO working with the CEO will support governance functions, including reporting to the board and overseeing the organisation’s finances.
The role comes with line management of Resolve Poverty’s programmes team and Finance and Administration Officer.
Particulars
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000.

This is a newly created role which is being introduced to support the centralisation and future growth of the Trust. The Zimbabwe country office are looking to recruit a Programme Officer, Social Inclusion to support their CPP project. This role will assist in coordinating and implementing activities and programmes that align with Sightsavers’ strategic footprint and goals.
This role advocates for social inclusion on behalf of people living with disabilities and forges strong connections and networking opportunities with like minded organisations. About the role
Key accountabilities but not limited to:
- Assisting the Programme Manager with effective implementation of CPP projects and activities, statistical data maintenance, promotion of shared learning and capacity building with external stakeholders
- Supporting the full lifecycle of the CPP project including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning
- Provision of project documentation and reports in a timely and accessible way
- Contributing to programme monitoring and data collection
- Supporting activities tied to the project, collation of documentation, reporting, workshops, organising case studies, event management and travel arrangements
- Monitoring expenditure of financial resources, assisting project partners with budget preparation and submission of timely financial returns
- Proactive provision of quality information for case studies and news stories
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Recognised qualification or tertiary degree in social sciences/sociology/social inclusion/local development.
- Successful track record in programme implementation within development organisations.
- Skilled in designing, managing, and supporting programmes to facilitate inclusion of marginalized groups in governance, policy, campaigns, and decision making forums.
- Experience in participatory development, including participatory monitoring and evaluation
- Previous exposure to collaboration with ministries and agencies/institutions related to CPP and social inclusion such as the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Ministry of Women Affairs for example
- Experience working with people living with disabilities, and communities, organisations of people with disabilities, and disability governance actors.
- Knowledgeable on national and international disability rights policy frameworks, advocacy issues, campaigns, and best practices in governance and policy review.
- Good knowledge of key national networks and organizations working for people with disability and social inclusion
- Current and ongoing right to work in Zimbabwe
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Available to travel within Zimbabwe for the length of the tenure

The Role
The Volunteering Support Officer is a new role and will work as part of a small friendly team. They will be the lead administrator for the Early Careers Forum and the Global Haematology Special Interest Group (SIG). The post holder will work with volunteers to arrange and minute meetings and prepare agendas and papers for distribution. They will be responsible for SIG webpages and co-ordinating ebulletins to keep members up to date with SIG activities.
The post holder will recruit volunteers for committees and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) following our governance rules. You will act as the main point of contact for volunteering queries and ensure volunteers’ records and SIG membership are up to date using subscriber database.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and written. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise workload. You will have experience of organising and minuting meetings, updating website pages, using a database and GDPR experience and awareness.

The International Nepal Fellowship (INF) is Nepal’s longest serving international NGO with over seven decades of experience working with Nepal’s poorest and most disadvantaged people and communities.
Nepal is one of the poorest and least developed countries in the world. After a decade of peace following the 1996 to 2006 civil war, the country was hit by several generation-defining events.
