We have an exciting role as a Fundraising Officer to join our small but ambitious fundraising team.  We are embarking on a significant capital redevelopment, and will raise income through trusts and foundations, individual donations and corporate supporters.

The Living Well Team:
The Bury Living Well Service is formed from an alliance of mental health services in the Bury area. The staff team is made up of staff from different backgrounds from Pennine Care Foundation Trust, Bury Involvement Group, the Creative Living Centre, and Early Break, and includes both clinical and non-clinical staff who employ a multi-disciplinary team approach to supporting individuals with significant mental health challenges in the community.

Job Summary:
You will form part of the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) provision within the Bury Living Well Model as a member of the Creative Living Centre (CLC) Service Delivery Team. The Link Worker is responsible for case loading adults experiencing mental and emotional distress, offering person-centred and trauma informed support in the community both face to face and via telephone. Ensuring that service users are provided with both initial and ongoing support in either 1:1 or group sessions, as appropriate to their needs which are identified and reviewed on an ongoing basis. You will engage empathically with those you support, providing positive emotional and therapeutic support, through a collaborative approach which focuses on individual strengths rather than deficits, enabling and promoting autonomy and self-care. You will work alongside clinical staff and staff from other VCSE organisations to form multidisciplinary team approach to collaboratively support individuals in the community. You will be supported by the Living Well VCSE Coordinator, Operational Programme Manager and Clinical Lead. CPD opportunities are available and personal interests/skills will be supported to development and growth. This is a new post and there will be an opportunity to help shape and evolve it.

The role is 35 hours per week and will have a base in Bury but expected to travel across the Bury area in community settings.

As an IDVA at Respond, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring their safety and empowering them to rebuild their lives. You will conduct risk assessments (DASH), develop safety plans, and work closely with agencies such as social services, police, and housing. You will also play a key role in raising awareness and improving support for neurodivergent survivors. 

What You’ll Do 

Provide specialist, person-centred advocacy for survivors with learning disabilities and autism. 

 Undertake risk assessments and safety planning to enhance survivor well-being. 
Represent survivors at MARAC and multi-agency meetings, advocating for their needs. 
Work closely with social services, health professionals, and the criminal justice system. 
Deliver training and consultation to professionals on supporting neurodivergent survivors. 
Ensure accurate case management and uphold safeguarding responsibilities. 

What We’re Looking For 

IDVA qualification OR significant domestic abuse advocacy experience. 
Understanding of domestic abuse, coercive control, and trauma-informed practice. 
Experience working with survivors of domestic abuse, particularly those with learning disabilities and autism. 
Strong advocacy, case management, and multi-agency working skills. 
Ability to adapt communication styles to support neurodivergent clients. 
Knowledge of MARAC, safeguarding, and legal frameworks for domestic abuse cases.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Multi-Skilled Engineer in our Facilities team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in plumbing, mechanical and electrical working in a palliative care/clinical environment.

The role will provide support to the team and carry out repairs to mechanical and plumbing services and equipment, e.g. replacement of filters in ventilation systems, check tensions of drive belts, record details of works, materials and time on a docket or our helpdesk system. The role will also support with programmed planned maintenance works to mechanical and plumbing services such as checking temperature of water taps and outlets, descaling showerheads, following prescribed instructions to defined standards, record actions and/or findings using a formal written report system and provide information to the Head of Facilities on replacement parts and spares to enable orders to be raised.

About you

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Either BTEC National Certificate (HNC Electronic Engineering). Or Completion of at least 4yr apprenticeship of Practical and Theoretical Training as an Electronic Technician or equivalent
• Good knowledge of plumbing materials sufficient to be able to maintain and discuss the maintenance needs of water systems i.e. pump and pipe sizes and their uses
• Good knowledge on health and Safety risk assessment and relevant Health and Safety legislation.

The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a specialist UK charity which provides expert care and support for refugees and people seeking asylum who have experienced extreme human cruelty such as torture or human trafficking. The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Client Services Team which operates within HBF’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary team. The duties of Client Services Administrator are two-fold 1) is to host our busy reception area and friendly waiting room; welcome clients and visiting professionals to the Helen Bamber Foundation and attend to any needs they might have and 2) to oversee the booking of appointments between clients and staff/volunteers across the organisation; liaising with third parties and clinicians in relation to Initial Assessments; booking and managing doctor’s diaries for our Medical Advisory Services and the booking of interpreters across the organisation. The role will work closely with the other person in post as Client Services Administrator and jointly manage the workload. The role also includes assistance and general facilities support to the Senior Operations and HR Coordinator.

The successful candidate will:

• Give support and guidance on the application of all HR policies and procedures to the Director of Finance and Services, line managers and all staff.
• Co-ordinate end to end recruitment campaigns, and support managers through the recruitment process.
• Undertake HR induction and onboarding processes with all new staff covering relevant HR policies and training them in the use of the HR database.
• Co-ordinate the annual salary review process, including being confident in benchmarking roles against current market data.
• Manage and maintain staff contracts and other HR electronic and paper files.
• Be competent in the use of HRIS systems and ability to analyse and present data from the system.
• Work closely with the Finance team by providing information to them in respect of payroll, pensions, holiday pay, maternity/paternity/adoption pay and any other relevant matters
• Maintain knowledge of employment legislation, advising the Director of Finance and Services of opportunities to improve HR policies and procedures, updating them as appropriate.
• Take a keen interest in staff culture, and wellbeing initiatives to promote engagement across the Movement.
• Coordinate staff training and development events including quarterly Induction and Training Days for new staff at our National Offices.

The Refugee and Migrant Forum of Essex and London (RAMFEL) is one of the largest immigration and asylum advice charities in the UK, supporting refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants to access justice. An IAA level 3 accredited organisation, we represent clients at all stages of the immigration and asylum process, up to and including the Upper Tribunal of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber.

Purpose of the role: 

The purpose of the role is to assist some of the most vulnerable people in our society. The focus of the legal work is on non-legal aid funded matters, supporting people who otherwise have no access to legal advice and support. There will be particular focus on working with people who are facing a crisis, providing legal representation and support that will take them out of destitution.

Salary and Benefits:

£34,321 for IAA level 3 and Solicitors

£32,070 for IAA level 2 and 

£28,695 for IAA level 1 qualified candidate

Solicitors with less than 1-year immigration experience will be paid at IAA level 1. IAAS level 2 qualified advisors (non-solicitors) may be considered for the role and would be at the IAA level 1 pay. 28 days annual leave plus statutory holidays and 6% pension contribution.

Specific Responsibilities

Case management 

• Manage own caseload, working to advance the best interests of the client
• Adhere to standards set out by IAA/SRA and AQS to deliver high-quality advice
• Provide representation and advice up to IAA level 2/3.
• Engage with the Line Manager to create and follow a training plan to ensure compliance with IAA CPD, keeping up to date with changes in law, policy and guidance to ensure clients receive accurate and high-quality advice
• Liaise directly with the UKVI and related governmental agencies
• Complete forms, letters and immigration applications 
• Liaise with and refer clients to Legal Aid Solicitors or other advisers, as appropriate
• Manage clients’ expectations by discussing deadlines, outcomes and timing 
• Deliver legal advice outreach surgeries/drop in as and when required 
• Progress cases in a timely manner in line with regulatory requirements.
• Implement organisational priorities into day-to-day casework.
