Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. For this role, we need someone to come into the office at least one day a week, on a Tuesday. A day where all of Income Generation come into the office. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time. We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there.
Contractually this role is London-based.
Contract: Permanent, either part time of 4 days (28 hours) per week or full time (35 hours per week) options available.

The successful candidate will have experience using email platforms e.g Mailchimp, to create and send engaging communications, track KPIs, and adjust strategies to boost customer engagement. We are also looking for someone who can help grow and manage our LinkedIn page, by creating engaging and impactful content. You will need to have good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems, along with a solid understanding of virtual meeting platforms for online events (e.g. Teams, Zoom).
The successful candidate will be supporting us with client management, so strong communication and organisational skills are important to help manage multiple corporate accounts.
The Team:
We are a team of three that sit within the wider Income Generation and Grants directorate. The Compassionate Employers team includes the Compassionate Employers Programme Lead, Corporate Development Manager and the Compassionate Employers Executive.
The Compassionate Employers programme and this role sit within our Corporate Development Team, within Income Generation and Grants. Compassionate Employers is a key part of Hospice UK’s Income Generation strategy.
Our Corporate Development Team works closely within and across the department. The focus in the team is on building partnerships with businesses, through commercial activity, fundraising or strategic support. Current corporate partnerships include several ‘charity of the year’ relationships, conferences and events, sponsorship, cause-related marketing partnerships, a supplier directory and a jobs board. As well as driving positive change for people affected by terminal illness and bereavement in the workplace, Compassionate Employers is an important income generation stream and ‘door-opener’ for Hospice UK.

Better Cotton is a voluntary sustainability standard organisation, but we are more than just a standard. Our role is also to build the capacity of farming communities worldwide by promoting socially and environmentally sustainable cotton growing practices. A significant part of this involves meeting and exceeding the Decent Work requirements of our Better Cotton Standard. Today, over 2 million farmers participate in Better Cotton's programmes globally.
In this role, you will be part of the Global Programmes & Partnerships team, supporting our programme partners to achieve this ambitious objective and helping Better Cotton producers improve their labour practices. As part of the global partnership team, you will work closely with country teams to translate Better Cotton Standard requirements into context-appropriate action plans and set producers on the path towards continuous improvement.
More specifically, this role involves:
- Leading capacity-building initiatives, provide technical guidance, and support programmatic alignment at both global and country levels.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated Partnerships Manager – Labour Rights to join our Global Programmes & Partnerships team. In this role, you will:
Standard Implementation Support
- Provide technical support to country teams and programme partners to ensure the effective implementation of the Decent Work Principle of the Better Cotton Standard (Principles & Criteria) aiming at improving the working conditions of workers and farmers across smallholder, medium and large farm contexts.
- Collaborate with country teams and programme partners to ensure a shared understanding of the Decent Work Principle of the Better Cotton Standard.
- Provide technical assistance on local adaptation of the Better Cotton Standard through tailored capacity-strengthening strategies such as trainings, workshops, and webinars.
- Guide the design and alignment of capacity strengthening strategies on decent work at the global and country levels.
- Develop and test implementation guidance materials through consultations, pilots, and engagement with experts and partners.
- Ensure cross-functional coordination and organisational learning related to decent work and capacity-strengthening efforts.
- Develop frameworks for monitoring and evaluating decent work initiatives.
- Coordinate regular reporting and ensure that organisational learning informs programmatic improvements.
Country Programmes Support
- Support country teams with implementing decent work components, addressing labour issues, and integrating gender as a cross-cutting theme.
- Build relationships with programme partners to assess needs, strengthen capacity, and develop shared solutions.
- Assist in operationalising the “assess and address” approach to labour monitoring, scaling best practices across diverse country contexts.
- Conduct needs assessments and develop country-level strategies/roadmaps to enhance decent work.
- Align fundraising objectives with country programme needs and decent work challenges.
- Explore new opportunities to enhance the implementation of the Better Cotton Standard, including innovations to improve working conditions and livelihoods.
- Provide technical input for funding proposals and contribute to project management for secured grants.
- Responsible for integrating labour rights considerations into policies and operational strategies, working closely with Better Cotton’s global programmes & partnerships team members to support new country start-up processes, revision of partnership agreements as well as definition of exit strategies.
Partner Due Diligence and Performance Management
- Assess the capacities of programme partners to meet Better Cotton’s due diligence requirements with regards to ensuring adequate working conditions of their employees, especially field staff and creating capacity strengthening action plans to address any gaps identified.
- Ensure an understanding of these issues and the need to take ownership for effectively addressing them at the organisational level, assisting in establishing or improving their organisational systems to address potential rights violations faced by their staff and external community members affected by their business operations through effective grievance mechanisms;
- Assist in partners’ due diligence from a labour rights perspective, ensuring gaps are addressed with corrective actions.
- Support programme partners in implementing labour rights recommendations, including by providing training and technical guidance. Oversee their progress in line with defined deliverables.
- Ensure that programme partnership agreements reflect commitments to human and labour rights protection. Would add in supporting with the development of partnership management tools including partnership agreements and relevant annexes to ensure that labour rights requirements are appropriately incorporated.
Complaints Management
- Manage complaints related to labour rights violations submitted to Better Cotton, ensuring timely investigation and resolution in collaboration with Better Cotton’s Complaints Management focal points at global and country levels.
- Oversee investigations and follow up on corrective actions for responsible case closure.
- Ensure that appropriate learning takes place following the closure of investigations (including mapping locally available support services and external grievance mechanisms)
- Develop guidelines detailing appropriate follow up and response to different types of labour and human rights concerns depending on severity and other criteria.
Profile
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion for advancing social sustainability and a proven track record of implementing human rights and labour standards in a development or agricultural context.

- Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks related to social impact.
- Strong experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects, particularly across diverse geographic regions.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with programme partners and external stakeholders.
- Skilled in managing partner due diligence and corrective actions related to human and labour rights.
- Experience in handling complaints management and coordinating investigations into labour rights issues.
- Experience in supporting grant proposals and managing donor-funded projects. Understanding of global fundraising landscapes, including knowledge partnerships and innovation grants.
- Experience of working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the agricultural sector is desirable.
- French language skills highly desirable.

The Senior Digital Channel Manager will be a key digital leader, championing and driving the charity's fundraising, engagement, and brand awareness through effective digital marketing and email strategies. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring ARUK's online presence is cohesive, data-driven, and audience-centric, maximising supporter engagement and conversions.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Strategic Leadership:
· Digital Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive holistic digital marketing strategy that aligns with ARUK's overarching goals. Ensure digital marketing adheres to best practices in planning, execution, and reporting.
· Email Marketing Strategy: Create and execute a compelling email marketing strategy to cultivate supporter relationships, drive donations, and increase awareness.

Additional Information:

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to lead our Programmes Team whilst our current Director of Programmes is on maternity leave. The trial will require us to recruit 100 participating schools, 50 of whom will receive the intervention, with another 50 allocated to a control group.

The role will position Ramblers as the foremost authority on walking and access and a respected political influencer.
This position plays a crucial role in influencing public perception and achieving business outcomes through strategic communication and marketing efforts. The role holder will focus on developing campaigns that unite issues that affect the whole of GB turning political advocacy into engaging and powerful campaigns. About the role

The Science Communications Manager leads an expert team that inspires and informs the public, donors and researchers about dementia research, the progress being made, wider developments in the field and the impact of Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) funding.
The postholder plays a vital role in helping tell the story and scientific narrative of ARUK to a variety of audiences, cementing the charity’s role as a leading authority on dementia research in the UK and globally. They also help to create a clear, creative, and compelling case for the need for research and the progress being made towards finding a cure.
Key responsibilities include finding and developing stories around ARUK research, managing our news and views website, and commissioning multi-media content that tells the story of ARUK and progress in dementia research.
With much of the charity’s fundraising propositions centring around our research portfolio, this role and the team it leads are the keystone that unites our research output and fundraising approaches. This means working closely with our Philanthropy and Gifts in Wills teams to create impactful research content, as well as supporting engagement activities.
This means you will be an effective and inspiring communicator, creating and landing content covering ARUK research, impact and commentary across multiple communications channels and audiences. This includes: creating social media and digital content, such as blogs and website summaries; managing the progress reporting for a philanthropic audience and creating content for supporter and researcher newsletters.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Work with both the Senior Science Communications Manager and the Head of Communications, to plan and implement inspirational science communications programmes and initiatives that support the delivery of the charity’s 10-year strategy.
· Lead and develop a team of 2 Officers, working closely across the wider science communications team.
· Develop and maintain a first-rate working knowledge of the dementia research field, including ARUK’s portfolio, strategy, impact and history, and act as a go-to person for the latest information and insight in dementia research and able to communicate this effectively.
· Ensure the team develops and maintains relationships with a wide network of experts from across the dementia research field, including through attending research conferences and representing ARUK.
· Develop and implement communications plans for dementia research stories – both ARUK-funded and responding to other stories in the news.
· Responsible for regular out-of-hours science sign off, alongside the wider science communications management team (organised through an on-call rota, and occasional ad hoc).
· Supporting the Philanthropy and Gifts in Wills teams by ensuring progress reports are delivered on time and have met the required brief, producing other engaging research content when needed, managing a series of lab visits, and identifying and briefing scientific speakers for events or VIP visits.
· Oversee the charity’s work to engage researchers, growing the field, sharing best practice, and coordinating events and development opportunities to ensure the UK remains a world-class place to conduct dementia research.
· Develop and maintain high-level narrative documents that make the case for research and the work of ARUK, and devise and develop innovative and creative communications products and campaigns based on this narrative.
· Manage the ‘Our Research’ and ‘News and Views’ sections of the ARUK website, ensuring engaging and up-to-date content, video and graphics, and monitoring the performance of digital content.
· Lead the development of public-facing communications for our major research initiatives such as the Drug Discovery Alliance, Clinical Accelerator programme and UK Dementia Research Institute.
· Represent ARUK to a high level within key relationships and partnership projects including, but not restricted to, Join Dementia Research, Brains for Dementia Research, Blood Biomarker Challenge, the Science Media Centre and other shorter-term partnerships.
· Manage multiple short and long term projects, working with teams within the charity and key external stakeholders.
· Ensure activities comply with ARUK’s branding and style guide.

By fostering connections within local, regional, and national ecosystems, the team plays a vital role in ensuring that every kinship carer has access to a supportive community.

About the role
This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form Peer Support Groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub. You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers. You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment. Funded by the Department of Education, the National Peer Support Service is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking an individual located in or around Greater Manchester, and willing to travel across the North West of England who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:
· Establish new Peer Support Groups across a diverse range of communities
· Supervise a small team of Peer Support Development Officers
· Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to inspire yourself and your team to achieve key targets and objectives
· Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective support services for the kinship community.
· Maintain current Peer Support Groups, taking the lead from the national Hub.
· Maintain accurate records that are used to populate reports, identify learning and share key insights across Kinship that allow the organisation to continuously improve our services and products.
In the role of Senior Peer Support Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, consistent, and sustainable peer support service that has a significant impact on the lives of kinship carers.
You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey towards sustainability.
As a practical thinker, you will work creatively to identify stakeholders and assets in areas of high need. You will build local connections and bring together kinship carers across the region, empowering them to build resilient and robust peer support communities.
You will be confident in building relationships that generate referrals from external stakeholders and in contacting kinship carers directly to secure engagement with local coffee mornings, community, and training events that will help kick start a thriving peer support group.
As you establish new groups, you will provide training to help them lead their groups effectively, and develop their group culture, resilience, and skills to function independently while offering reassurance and support to empower them.
You will be an inspirational and energetic team leader with experience in providing day-to-day line management and operational support for a small team.
We are ideally looking for candidates based in or around Greater Manchester but willing to work initially across the whole of the North West. This role may involve working to establish groups in West Yorkshire and into North Staffordshire.
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential, as this role may require travel across London and its periphery to reach areas in need of dedicated support.
Key responsibilities:
Service delivery:
- In person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local and regional communities including setting up and attending local engagement events.
- Work creatively to set up and develop new sustainable in peer support groups, attending up to six sessions in person (if needed) before transition to self-sufficiency. Existing groups that are at risk, closed or need support will need replacing or rejuvenating to maintain DfE service level agreements across the team, in addition to new groups.

As Senior Programme Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape our work nationally as well as lead our programmes in the North West of England, enabling us to grow our reach, deepen our impact and ultimately deliver our mission. Your work will ensure that across our programmes we offer young people meaningful and impactful opportunities to take action for people and the planet and have a voice in shaping the future of our landscapes.
You will work closely with and report to the Head of Impact and Programme Operations. You will also line manage the other regional Programme Managers and a team of two Programme Coordinators in the North West, and will collaborate with the Land-Based Projects and Policy Lead and the Land-based Project Coordinator at the intersection of our youth programmes and land-based work.
With support from your manager and in consultation with the other regional Programme Managers, you will translate our annual programme strategy into a robust cross-regional implementation plan covering both programme design and operations and make tangible improvements to enhance efficiency and impact across our regions. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our programmes are delivered as planned, to a high standard in line with best practice and cohesively across regions, and that regional objectives and targets in the North West are achieved.
The ideal candidate will be a highly capable and experienced project/programmes manager and team leader with a proven track record of motivating and supporting others to achieve the best possible outcomes for your team and your programmes.
Key responsibilities

Lead Action for Conservation’s work in the North West, ensuring that regional targets and objectives are achieved and supporting the expansion of our programmes and projects in line with our organisational strategy.

Support the cross-regional planning and management of our programmes to ensure that programmes are delivered on time and to budget, to a high standard and cohesively across regions.

Line manage the other regional Programme Manager and the North West Programme Coordinators, providing leadership, guidance and support as needed.

This is an integral role leads the Philanthropy team which delivers 40% of the charities income. This role will ensure the Philanthropy Strategy to 2027 is delivered to, leading a brilliant team of specialist fundraisers. What are the key responsibilities:
- Lead on the development of the multifaceted and multi-channel Philanthropy strategy across, major donors, special events, trusts and foundations responsible for delivering around 40- 50% of the charity’s annual income and a key area of strategic investment
- Lead the annual planning, budgeting and reforecasting process for all areas of Philanthropy and Special Events Fundraising, working with Director of Income & Engagement, Head of Finance, and other senior stakeholders as required to ensure robust, effective and achievable financial performance.
- Provide leadership to the Philanthropy Fundraising Team, representing the interests of Philanthropy Fundraising at all levels of the organisation.
- Provide line management to direct reports, nurturing the team and setting development plans to build skills and career development opportunities.
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years working in the philanthropy fundraising space, with extensive knowledge and experience of the charity and fundraising sector at a strategic level
- Extensive philanthropy fundraising experience, with ultra high net worth experience in particular required. Experience and working knowledge of Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations, Special Events, programme growth and innovation.
- Extensive experience of devising, implementing and delivering a philanthropy fundraising strategy which supports the organisational vision, mission and strategic objectives.
- Significant and proven experience of high value relationship management at 7 figure level
- Experience of building and embedding successful and sustainable growth strategies.

About the role
Reporting to the Development Research Manager, the Senior Development Research Officer plays a vital role in the University’s fundraising operation. You will be accountable for the provision of accurate and appropriate information relating to potential and current donors to the University, high net worth individuals, corporations and charitable foundations worldwide. In particular, this role will focus on researching and prospecting ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI) for our transformational philanthropy fundraisers, providing research and insight for fundraisers and our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in this core area of our 200th anniversary campaign.
Working with colleagues, you will be responsible for the University’s programme of identification and analysis of potential donors, deploying and refining systems to support the documentation and management of such potential donors and suggesting tailored strategies to reach and engage such donors.
You will play an important part in gift acceptance due diligence; and have responsibility for developing an effective workload management system for the Research Team. You will also manage three development research staff and work closely with major gift fundraisers to help raise vital funds towards our appeals.
