You must reside in the UK, live in the Lancashire and Cumbria patch, and have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK.

- Experience in relationship and community fundraising or ability to demonstrate transferrable skills.
- Good understanding of budgeting and financial management

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.

The role:

As Risk Manager, you will be supporting our Head of Risk & Assurance in the management of risk and compliance across our global network. You will help ensure our key organisational risks are being proactively identified, managed and reported to safeguard delivery of our vision, mission and strategic aims.

• Conduct periodic reviews of insurance coverage and brokerage within MMI and Programme Affiliates to ensure coverage remains proportionate and complete.

• Manage the annual renewal process for all relevant MMI policies and perform a coordination role on any changes notifiable to the insurer or insurance claims.
• Provide guidance on our Programme Affiliate insurance programmes, including providing direction on policy coverage and supporting local staff on significant claims.

With proven experience of working in a risk management role, including developing risk processes and overseeing risk registers, you will be skilled in the development of strong working relationships. You will have strong analytical skills and be confident in challenging and assimilating data to reach conclusions across a variety of functions. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential, and you will demonstrate integrity and a strong detail focus in when handling sensitive information.

Overall Duties of the Commercial Bid Writer & Fundraiser  will include:

• Taking the lead in identifying, coordinating, and managing tendering opportunities, processes, and contracts for TACT.

The Role

With a strong focus on stewardship, you’ll manage a portfolio of supporters, create tailored engagement opportunities, and deliver compelling cases for support that inspire long-term giving. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure a joined-up, strategic approach to relationship fundraising. Your ability to communicate with clarity and warmth, alongside a deep understanding of what motivates Christian supporters, will be key to growing support and maximising impact.

About You

You will have proven experience of developing high-value relationships with donors (individuals) and a track record of success in soliciting major gifts in excess of £5k or transferable skills gained in a similar role with equally demanding relationship-based targets.

With knowledge of the principles of relationships fundraising to include identification, research, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major and mid-level donors, you will have experience of working autonomously and effectively with people at senior or Board level.

You will have:

• Evidence of strong influencing and negotiating skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to make a cogent and compelling supporting case for each project

• The ability to develop excellent working relationships with staff, Trustees and volunteers; you will be diplomatic, persuasive and credible at a senior level

WBR UK is a registered charity and a subsidiary of World Bicycle Relief NFP (WBR NFP).  WBR NFP operates through WBR not for profit subsidiaries and through its social enterprise company, Buffalo Bicycles.  Together the WBR Group provides transport solutions to those who cannot afford them, with donations through WBR and sales of bicycles and spare parts through Buffalo Bicycle Limited.  Buffalo Bicycle Limited also offers users repair and maintenance services via a retail network of shops and local mechanics. WBR has distributed over 870,000 fit-for-purpose bicycles and trained over 3,350 community-based mechanics. Our impact is clear: girls with Buffalo Bicycles boost their school attendance by almost a third; health care workers see nearly twice as many patients each day and 80% of households using a Buffalo bicycle report higher incomes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Strategy Execution: Works closely with the UK Managing Director, incorporating programmatic priorities for developing key funding partnerships, to align and execute the trusts and foundations fundraising strategy.
• Strategic Growth & Income Diversification: Supports the development of and executes a growth strategy to increase trust and foundation income, leveraging both existing and new opportunities, including institutional fundraising and government funding where relevant.
• Prospecting & Pipeline Development: Proactively identifies, researches, and cultivates new trust and foundation prospects to expand the current portfolio and drive significant new revenue growth in alignment with fundraising targets.
• Relationship Management & Stewardship: Establishes, nurtures, and manages strong relationships with trust and foundation donors, ensuring tailored engagement, timely reporting, and strategic alignment with donor priorities to maximize long-term support.
• Proposal & Fund Development: Leads the development and submission of compelling funding proposals to generate revenue, while ensuring collaboration with the global proposal development enablement function for high-value (£100k+) opportunities. Edits concepts, proposals, pitch decks and stewardships materials. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with WBR’s global Development & Marcomm and proposal development team to source insights, data, and programmatic information that strengthen proposals and enhance donor engagement, ensuring UK efforts align with international fundraising strategies.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Requirements

• Experience securing new income and growing existing income from Trusts and Foundations partnerships.

Kentown Support is a new charity, here to ensure that every child with a life-limiting condition and their family across the UK has access to a model of integrated community children’s palliative care. We will:

· REPLICATE and roll out the Kentown model to reach more children;

Our Marketing and Communications Manager will play a key role in growing our reach and influence, building Kentown Support’s brand across the children’s palliative care sector.  

In this home based role, you will use your creative flair to develop and deliver strategic communications and marketing plans to our audiences using a range of channels. Working closely with colleagues, partners and service users, you will lead and implement all aspects of our communications’ strategy: Brand management & development, Web & social media, PR & Media and Storytelling & publishing.

Responsibilities of our Senior Individual Giving Officer (Acquisition):

• This role is crucial in delivering the charity’s Individual Giving programme, working across multiple communication channels to grow sustainable income for Cats Protection by recruiting new supporters across a range of products.
• This includes everything from making TV ads, working with Face-to-Face fundraisers, running our digital campaigns and much more– all of which feature cats at the heart, of course. You will need to work with both internal departments and external agencies to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

About the Individual Giving Team:

• We sit within the Marketing & Income Generation directorate
• Our team is responsible for the recruitment and retention of individual supporters to generate over £22 million each year and provide leads for the other teams in the directorate
• We currently have a team of 13 working across Acquisition and Retention on our Appeals and Raffles, Membership, Sponsorship, Lottery and regular giving programs using Mail, Face to Face, DRTV, email, Digital, Social and other paid media

What we’re looking for in our Senior Individual Giving Officer (Acquisition):

• Extensive experience in an Individual Giving or similar role, ideally working with agencies in the third sector
• Experience in leading the organisation of projects/activities or schedules
• Experience in budget management, ideally with multiple income and expenditure items
• Proven track record of achieving income against agreed financial targets, and measuring against KPIs
• Experience of at least some broad-based fundraising, such as Direct Mail, DRTV, telephone, digital or face-to-face fundraising
