The role

As a member of the Fundraising Team, the post holder will work with the Individual Giving Development Manager on implementing audience focused fundraising campaigns that deliver long-term sustainable income, as well as mutually beneficial relationships with our supporters.  The post holder will maximise lifetime value and loyalty by delivering fundraising campaigns across multiple channels. The post holder will use evidence-based insights to create fundraising campaigns that increase our overall effectiveness. The post holder will be responsible for providing outstanding supporter experience and stewardship to TVAA supporters.

We have achieved significant growth over the last five years, largely through individual giving, legacies, major gifts, and some in memorial giving. We are keen to make a step change in our voluntary income, this is an exciting time of growth and opportunity at TVAA, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and creative person to join our team.

About you

This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key member of our fundraising team.
You will have experience of working in a charity fundraising or marketing environment and experience of supporting the planning and delivering of projects or campaigns using a variety of media. Experience in producing newsletter content, using social media for marketing and direct mail and digital campaigns would be advantageous, as would experience of dealing with customer or supporter queries. You will have strong communication, interpersonal and negotiating  skills and be able  to work to a multiple  of tasks at a time, and to be able to engage with a wide range of people is essential.

You will also manage a small trusts’ portfolio running mailings through the database and looking for opportunities to grow portfolio income.
 
We are looking for an individual who has experience of managing several projects simultaneously and be able to demonstrate a clear and persuasive writing style. You will also have a keen interest in fundraising from trusts and foundations, ideally have experience of working in a fundraising team or similar environment and be proficient in using IT packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher. The role 

In this role you will be responsible for day-to-day management of Trust and Foundation fundraising. Your responsibilities will include building long-term partnerships with trusts and foundations, ensuring support through in-depth research, excellent stewardship, and timely and accurate reporting. You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships and colleagues across the organisation to find creative and compelling projects to be funded.

About the Role:

As part of this new role as Legacy Officer, you will support the administration of UK and international legacy gifts, from notification to final distribution. You will help manage a growing caseload and ensure compliance with legal and organisational policies.

Additionally, you will assist in expanding our legacy giving programme in new international markets, working closely with global teams to support strategies that maximise legacy income across different regions. You will also play a role in forecasting legacy income, conducting estate reviews, and preparing detailed reports to inform strategic decisions. Collaboration will be essential, as you will work closely with the Legacy Marketing Manager, Legacy Administrator and global fundraising teams to align legacy administration with broader fundraising initiatives. Additionally, you will help maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executors, solicitors, and international colleagues, to ensure the smooth administration of legacy gifts.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally need experience in UK legacy administration, and preferably also within an international context. You should have a proven ability to manage and coordinate a complex caseload of legacy gifts, ensuring compliance and maximising income. Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with attention to detail in reporting, and excellent literacy and communication skills are essential. You’ll have the ability to work effectively within a global organisation, understanding cross-cultural dynamics and regional legal frameworks.

You’ll be able to build and maintain good relationships with executors, solicitors, and other key internal and external stakeholders.

It would also be advantageous if you also have a passion for global animal welfare issues, as well as experience with First Class and Salesforce CRM systems, although training can be provided for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities of our Senior Innovation Officer:

• Leading collaborative innovation cycles and sprints using an insight led innovation approach to develop new products and optimise existing activity
• Support the Innovation Manager to deliver overall Marketing and Income Generation targets by working across the directorate to manage innovation and new product development

The digital landscape evolves rapidly and keeping abreast of changes is key for digital innovation at the DEC. We are seeking a Digital and Innovation Officer to support the Digital and Innovation Manager, in the varied areas of digital fundraising, performance and compliance, website development and innovation.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven experience in similar role, preferably in the charity sector. Key responsibilities include:

• Website Maintenance: General management of the website’s CMS (Drupal), embedding SEO, dealing with website backlogs, maintaining a high quality of sprint planning with suppliers, support website UX reviews and produce performance reports. 

• Digital Fundraising: Assist the quick execution of paid social, search and display advertising during an appeal. Help to launch ads quickly, reviewing and optimising performance. 

• Innovation: Support with innovation sprints, workshops and new product development. Explore the opportunities of AI within the organisation, supporting the development and project management of new products.

• Team Working and Collaboration: Excellent stakeholder awareness, providing proactive support

About the Role: As Support Retention Manager, you will lead on our cash, mid-value and supporter journey strategies. The postholder will develop a high-performing retention and development programme building engagement and grow supporter life-time-value. This role is crucial as we seek to build relationships with long-standing supporters as well as sustain the engagement of our recent emergency supporters.

In collaboration with the Head of Individual Giving, you will lead the development and delivery of our Individual Giving strategy to help successfully deliver MAP’s five-year vision. You’ll lead the development of supporter-led multi-channel campaigns, launching and testing new channels and creating bespoke supporter journeys.

Responsibilities 

Leadership and Strategy

• Build and inspire a high-performing, results-oriented team focused on delivering sustainable income to maintain and build on recent growth.
• Performance manage, support and develop the Individual Giving Fundraising Officer.
• Lead the development and delivery of Individual Giving strategies, leading on MAP’s Individual Giving and Mid-Value retention strategy with a focus on growth and lifetime value.
• Work across and develop MAP’s retention products, appeals and journeys, including playing a vital role in delivering multi-million-pound integrated campaigns during Ramadan and Winter.

Planning & Management of Campaigns

• Collaborate with the Head of team and peers to develop team plans aligned with the Fundraising strategy.
• Ensure the team create and optimize insight-driven, supporter-led campaigns., working with the Marketing Manager and Insights lead
• Ensure processes and systems are in place to track and meet KPIs, including the development of robust testing plans to optimize campaigns based on insights.
• Manage and motivate a range of agency partners and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant fundraising legislation and stay updated on changes in relevant thinking and laws.

Innovation

• Lead the investigation, testing, and implementation of product innovations utilising agile methods to test and learn with efficiency.
• Develop bespoke, audience-led supporter journeys, including ongoing journeys for UK and international supporters.
• Proactively stays ahead of emerging trends and horizon scanning and enjoys working in a fast-paced, agile manner, acting on learnings to optimize activity.

Budget Management

• Create annual budgets for the Individual Giving Programme, setting income and expenditure targets, with support from the Head of team.
• Manage the retention budget, including reporting on management accounts, reforecasting, and assessing risk levels.

Job Requirements

• Relevant experience in fundraising and/or marketing, with experience of direct marketing and developing supporter/customer journeys and campaigns to build long-term loyalty, engagement and income growth through cash and regular giving.
• You’ll have experience of end-to-end project management, including managing multiple projects and priorities at once.
• Experience in leading multi-channel, data-led fundraising and/or marketing appeals with evidence of income growth across channels including mail, email, SMS and TM.
• Strong track record in developing direct marketing strategies.
• Experience in strategic planning, project management, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience of managing external stakeholders and agency partners – including creative/DM, print, SMS/TM and fulfilment agencies.
• Experience in analysing and presenting data for informed decision-making, as well as leading others to develop testing plans and optimise campaigns.
• Able to confidently analyse results, digest complex data, and extract insights to inform strategies and campaigns. This includes cash, regular giving and audience analysis.
• Expertise in digital and written communication, with a supporter-centric approach.
• Able to balance short and long-term priorities and manage opportunities and risks.
• Effective management and leadership skills, with experience of line management.
• Highly proactive - excellent at networking, communicating, and influencing.
• Relevant direct marketing qualification and/or equivalent experience.
