Rights & Security International (RSI) is seeking a part-time Finance and Grant Management Officer to maintain our internal financial controls, assist with budgeting, and oversee our expenditures, especially by continually tracking our grant spending. The successful candidate will be a valued member of our friendly, dedicated team.
The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of good financial management practices for a small UK charity, and will be comfortable creating budgets and forecasts. We have a preference for candidates with experience in the UK charity sector, especially working with small or mid-size organisations.

Person specification:
RSI is looking for a finance and grants management professional who has:
- An appropriate qualification or degree in a field such as finance or accounting.
- Experiencing managing the financial aspects of restricted and unrestricted grants for a small or mid-size UK charity.
- An ability to produce clear, persuasive and detailed reports in English.
- Experience with budgeting, managing accounts, tracking expenditures and preparing financial forecasts.
- Strong interpersonal skills a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
- A strong commitment to RSI’s mission of upholding human rights and ending discrimination.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the expenditure of restricted and unrestricted grant funds; carry out grant monitoring and reporting.
- Supporting grant applications, for example by identifying needs and developing budgets.
- Assist with budgets and financial forecasts.
- Periodically review and update RSI’s internal financial controls.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and annual independent examinations.
- Review staff requests for reimbursement.
- Assist the Executive Director and Fundraising Officer in liaising with current and potential funders, as needed.

A new role as Senior Marketing Manager within the community and events team at an innovative, well-known research and support Charity. Joining for an initial 12 month FTC, the role will be pivotal to the success of the fundraising team’s growth, you will be the expert voice of marketing across community and events.

About the role

As a team we will maximise legacy and in memory giving and acquire new legacy and in memory supporters, as well as nurturing existing supporters who have expressed an interest in leaving a gift in their Will for the future of Young Lives vs Cancer’s work.
The role will suit a passionate and creative individual who thrives on working collaboratively and who is able to manage end to end projects and supplier relationships. There will be a need to analyse data to monitor performance as well as identifying trends and opportunities. Fulfilment mapping is also a key element of the role as well as being comfortable presenting in person to colleagues and suppliers.

ROLE OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure AzuKo’s operations and programme delivery are implemented efficiently and effectively.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Demonstrable track record of operating at leadership level (CEO, or similar) within a small-medium size charity.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK charity administration, finance and regulatory responsibilities (e.g. Charity Commission).
- Experience of working strategically to source, secure and steward sustainable funding (grant income and individual giving) working within tight financial constraints.
- Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and processes, safety, and quality management.
- Comfortable with digital/remote working e.g. use of One Drive, Slack, Zoom.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel) and accounting software Xero.
- Excellent written and communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas in simple language.

Harris Hill is working with an international environmental charity, who are looking to cover an interim Communications Officer role for 3dpw, on a remote basis. This covers permanent recruitment.
The role itself will run until Christmas and possibly the new year. We are looking for an immediate start.
The post of the Communications Officer reports directly to the CEO, but works with internal fundraising, programme and marketing teams to promote the work of the charity, report on fundraising and manage communications to various stakeholders and supporters.
This role follows a period of outsourcing their work to an agency, so this brings this work back in house, with a handover happening before they total removal in December, but also covering the permanent recruitment period.

Since 2018, Connect: North Korea (CNK) has grown from a small community start-up into an effective and impactful organisation with an annual income of approaching £500,000, mainly through grants from Trusts and Foundations. We now want to develop our individual giving programme to build our unrestricted income and secure our long term growth.
As our new Head of Individual Giving, you will be responsible for growing our income from our individual and corporate base to help us reach more vulnerable members of our community. You will lead on individual fundraising relationships and initiatives, including appeals, fundraising campaigns, and all direct marketing activities and communications. You will position us in our supporters’ minds and encourage them to actively support CNK in 2025 and beyond.

Develop and deliver CNK corporate and individual giving fundraising programme of events, campaigns and appeals to raise £100,000 in 2025.

Work closely with CEO and CNK team members to craft information into compelling copy, asks, supporter updates, social media content and personalised campaign appeals.

Plan and deliver low and mid level individual giving campaigns to cultivate new donors, convert existing supporters from once off donations to regular givers and inspire donors to increase their current support.

Design and deliver our annual major donor giving programme. Cultivate, communicate and inspire new major donors to join us with the aim of increasing our current major donor pool by 10%. Steward current donors, keep in touch, craft compelling asks to support their progression towards more frequent or higher-value donations.

Report monthly to the CEO on the success of campaigns and programming, income raised, number of new supporters/followers, conversion rates, offering insight on ROI, learnings and how we will incorporate this learning to improve how we do things in future.
Fundraising compliance:

Save all profiles, donations, giving history, gift aid agreements, correspondence, and communications with supporters on CNK CRM database. Uphold GDPR and comply with fundraising best practice.
US Individual Giving Programme:

Contribute towards developing a new US individual giving portfolio through prospect research and crafting compelling fundraising asks.
Staff & Volunteer Management:

Create and manage a volunteer fundraising programme to grow individual giving through community events, social media and awareness raising.

Essential skills and experience:
You will have at least five, ideally eight, years experience of:

The Individual Giving Team have seen incredible growth over the last five years and we are excited to build on this with ambitious goals for where we see the programme in 2030 and beyond. Stewardship is a vital part of this ambition.
